Oh wow! I saw "Fantomes du Japon" earlier today in one of the bookstores in my area and it is very beautiful :) Actually, my fiancé spotted it first as it lay nicely displayed for everyone to see, opened it on the page with those lovely poissons and said: "Pretty trippy, huh?" ;) Gorgeous illustrations indeed :)
It would be great to have a video explaining how magic works and what the arguments are in defense of the existence of a force beyond physics that connects and influences everything. We already have a video explaining "What is Magick?" now it would be great to have one explaining how and why it works. It seems to me that understanding it is crucial for its correct practice, and you are the guy for that. Sorry for going off topic of the video, but I wanted to take the opportunity.
@@FoolishFishBooks The process of marbling end papers is a true art form. I'm sure a lot of these are done digitally today, but I seem to recall a couple of videos on here showing the original marbling process for fine press books.
I just had the weirdest synchronicity with you and Benjamin! He's coming to Colombia, so I literally just entered youtube to check reviews of this book to see if that was the one I wanted signed cause it's been forever in my wish list. And then I see the notification that you just uploaded this review! I'm so happy right now. Just wanted to share 😊💜 Oh btw you can find his books in spanish! His... publisher? (Edelvives) is a Spanish company. So if there's someone out there who can't read French but can Read Spanish, you can find it easily too :)
I love Japanese culture & mythology. These books look great and if they were in English or Japanese I wouldn't think twice about getting them but I just don't speak French. The art looks amazing though.
Not that I'm aware of, though he has a number of other books out there, some with Spanish translations (Alice, Ondine, etc) but no English translations that I can find.
