I pay Kaiser Permanente $1954/month for health insurance but my family of 6 members rarely use its services. Kaiser Permanente gave me and my family 3 months out for primary care appointments. And for specialist appointments are from 3 to 4 months. If we can’t wait that long, Kaiser Permanente told us to go to urgent care. I work in healthcare industry for 23 years. And I see health programs and their providers including administrators pocket millions of dollars from tax payers. And no one can do anything about them.

    • @pbj0815

I’ve had Kaiser for years and years through work for $22 monthly for 3 people. I live in a small town and we only have basic care here but 15 miles away they offer other services. I’ve never had an appointment that far out when I schedule. Usually it’s within the week or even the same day. Specialist appointments at the most is 10 days later if they’re not in the building that day. Demand to be serviced!

Something has to be done about all this! I drive for a living and the company doesn’t offer medical insurance so my husband and I pay for medical insurance and I hear so many customers telling me they don’t know why they are even paying for insurance because their bill they receive after the fact is ridiculous and they didn’t just pick any insurance they researched them and one said after paying for 5 years and they got sick and after they got home they were dropped from the company and their bill was high like the company only paid for a portion 😢 it’s like just one big scam all across America 😢

March 27th I went in with congestive heart failure they only stabilized me long enough to get home after 6 hours of listening to the nurses partying and flirting with security guards. More guards then doctors and nurses combined. Only they are physicians assistants not doctors in their 20s. You can fix that problem with a "coal tar" hair shampoo available OTC. The doc won't do anything, but prescribe a steroid or other drug to suppress your overly aggressive immune system. Those drugs will create more and much bigger problems than they solve. Get the shampoo. It doesn't smell great, but it gives hair a beautiful luster. And btw, I went through all that back in the 1980s. It will take a few months to completely clear up the scalp and you may have to keep using that for years, but eventually the immune system will likely rebalance on its own .... unless you disregulate it with steriods or other strong drugs. Then, it's anybody's guess what the long-term prognosis will be.

Contra Costa Health Services won't care about mental health either. They don't care about complexities in a bloated situation, nor will they record documents that would be evidence of said situation. All they care about is a "common criminal" who allegedly assaulted police officers because clearly there's no way the police would have lied to cover their sorry asses about how they assaulted the "common criminal" blatantly in a civil matter where they didn't help with already broken communication in general.

We could start with the $3.8B we send to Israel annually, not including special assistance packages.
They provide universal health care, cheap university and other services, subsidized partially by the US taxpayer.
If they can provide those services, they don’t need financial aid. We should use the funds to provide them to our own people.
We could also eliminate the annual $20B or so of direct subsidies the oil and gas industry receive. They’re mature, extremely high-profit industries that don’t need them.

According to this video, we already spend some $2B/year on healthcare just for this one provider and just in Contra Costa county, and what do we get for it? Almost nothing! So how is cutting aid to Israel and putting a few billion towards healthcare *nationwide* going to change things? No, more money isn't the solution. Better management is necessary.

      @peacefreedom4930 16 дней назад +1

There’s a movie about something like this. They pointed out that the insurance companies want us to die before they have to spend money helping us.
I don’t know much about this particular system and how everything works. But if I were you I’d start with research. You want to know the policies and procedures for the program. You’re looking for the contrast in how they are supposed to treat your husband and how they are actually treating him. Once you find significant violations you have to put it in writing and request they follow their own written policies. It would also be helpful to have an idea of your husband’s potential diagnosis. It seems like he likely has a GI issue. You can literally google his group of symptoms or use webmd (if that’s still around). Usually you’ll get a list of potential conditions that cause those symptoms. Then you have to narrow it down by process of elimination. The benefit of this is you can then look up the treatment plan. Now you can research specialist for that. Once you know the correct policies and procedures, potential diagnosis, appropriate tests and treatments, and some specialist, you’re ready to right a letter to his doctor and the ombudsman of the hospital. Be concise. Describe the situation, background, your assessment of what the potential diagnosis might be, and make your ask for what you want to happen testing and treatment wise. Strength your ask by throwing in their policies and procedures that state how this should have been handled. Express any suffering your husband is enduring. This should get a response. If it’s not the response you want escalate it higher up the totem pole until you’ve exhausted all options.

I was an agency nurse for 30+ years which means I have worked all over southern CA at various hospitals (units: med/surg, ICU, ER, DOU, etc) from South OC to Palmdale to help with staffing shortages. These stories are nothing new and if you attempted to report the incidents to upper management or to the State nothing was done other than you had to fill out an "incident report". No attorney would take on any of the cases me or another nurse would want to file.
In 30+ years I had the state of CA swarm a facility only ONCE and that was because I called a specific person that I personally knew at the time. He called me at home once they were on site and I gave him names and dates of all incidents of past and current patients that were in house..basically I told him where all of the bodies were buried ( it's an idiom-look it up) and provided the shovel and map for him to find the buried information.
It's sus that all of a sudden "They care" (state, attorneys) because every nurse has witnessed negligence, malpractice, staff or patient endangerment that falls on the deaf ears of management, and the State.

Hospitals assign nurses to units that they have no experience in, if you refuse , they fire you. Happened to me.

If a person's negligence led to multiple deaths, the tone of this story would've been a bit different.
Note to Gangs: Remember to from a corporation - that function was designed to protect you from consequence.

You cannot cut corners in healthcare. It's negligent and dangerous. You can cause alot of fatalities and casualties.

😱 you better be careful. You can’t be saying people gave you stuff that you probably gave yourself. Did you research how you contract BV? Or the percentage of women who have BV? I’m just saying be careful you don’t get sued for defamation. I support you for real and I think it’s disgusting that he uses his clout to lure vulnerable women and exploit and expose them to make money off their story and uses it as a chance to get them loaded and sleep with them. He’s disgusting

Put other managed care on this list. Surgical patient with pulmonary embolism..managed care tried to force DNR by withholding pain medication this particular rebab system has high % of deceased patients. Trying to force a patient on pain medications to sign a new form overriding current existing forms asking for resuscitation is illegal.sending patient to low level ER Without medical records..and just telling medical responders patient wS drug seeking..while patient was days out of major spinal fusion surgery. 7 levels. And with suspected PE WAS ALSO TERRIBLE MEDICAL CARE! The facility tried to get even with patient from complaining..

Bedbound MEANS extra care is required. This reporting right tgere makes no sense. That label would not cause them to get only phone consult care. It would trigger extra care.
