I have a 5203 and am reinstalling my rebuilt Stanadyne injector pump now (rebuilt for $1300 from Superior Diesel, Grand Rapids, Michigan). Thanks for this video, it had some helpful reminders in it.
SO I'm faced with having to pull mine off and have it serviced so from what I gather on this is that as long as you don't disturb the clocking of the pump gear you can remove the pump without doing TDC and all that. Since the pump shaft is keyed and all it should just go back like it was. Is that correct? Thanks
people watching this when installing folks biggest thing about installing new pump Is the timing so take extract time make sure it's in time. Very important
Hello sir i have 5075e rotary pump and i have so much problem with that like low pickup issue and leaves black smoke. What is the problem we don't know with that and we serviced the pump also
That part was not played in the video.. but you can see me put the bolt back on. There is a slotted gear inside the front cover that has a nut holding it to the injection pump. There is a small rubber cover I removed to get the nut off. Make sure you don't move the gear and disrupt the timing. If there isn't a removable boot there I'd go by a dealer and have them open up the book to see what's necessary to take apart to get it out.
hello i have a question we have this kind of pump and it is getting stuck in full throttle and you cant shut it off with the key when it does it and the tractor has a lack of power what could be the issue
Don't be afraid of the after market pumps myself I use them have installed 6 after market pumps no issues except out of one it was leaking around ol-ring installed new one no issues they send extra parts with after market pump😢
Hello i have the same pump on renault ares 640rz , but when im doing some hard stuff like ploughing im loosing power. If you have some advice it will be helpful :D
I was having the same issue and it wasn't the pump at all. The fuel supply line was swollen and coming apart on the inside creating an obstruction so it was getting restricted fuel flow. Also check the tank and filter to make sure it has no obstructions.

Can anyone show me a video of how to get the cover off in order to get started

How did you know if the timing was right? And if you made an adjustment how’d you know what to do
It has a key slot in the shaft. No need to time it. As long as you don't move the gear when you remove the pump it can only go on one way.
Yeah it has a slotted gear and the shaft locates with a woodruff key
So you just removed the nut off the end if the shaft and then tapped it back slightly to remove the pump? Pump shaft Nut size?
hi there where did you order from thx in advance
I see you had a mark on the new pump but is there a need for that if the slotted shaft is installed correctly?
It can still be turned to dial timing.. just not very much. There is a mark on the faceplate to Mach it up to
I have an 80s model, small 750 jd. And trying to take the pump out but something seems to be holding it in on the inside

There is only one injection pump and only one place for it on the engine.. not sure what your question is here.
Did you have poison in the fuel system?
👍good job

Sounds like general pump failure to me

Which country you buy this pump??????
America. Directly from John Deere dealership.
Did you place the shaft in the same position as the old one?
Yes it has a key slot
So the gear won’t fall down into the crank case when you remove the pump?
@@keith2860 It shouldn't... I removed one like this recently and the gear stayed in place.
These pumps are crap! The Achilles heel on an otherwise very solid tractor.
Muon mua con hoe dau nhu vay co khong
What in the hell was that fuel? Might have found your pump problem...
Haha.. yeah when I bought it I was told the fuel was less than a year old. Not the case.

Use inline fuel injection pump for less maintenance
