When my Ecotecmiata was first installed I re-tightened the engine block header nuts and the downpipe fasteners after each temperature cycle. It took about 4 temperature cycles before the fastener torque seemed to stabilize on the exhaust system. You will want to do that as many times as possible before it stays running at full tilt at the track. In your pit stops I would quickly recheck these header fasteners even though it is not good practice to tighten them when they are hot, but it is probably better than loose. If the fasteners gets loose exhaust gases could escape or outside air could get sucked in messing up the oxygen sensor readings and your fuel mixture.

That is really good advice! I think I will try to use some sort of locking washer as well. I will report back after the race.

Roy, tip for next time, it's so much easier to pull the intake manifold off for the engine install. It's like 7 bolts and takes like 5 minutes. So much easier to deal with engine mount/starter/steering rack that way.

I appreciate the tip! I will look into that next time.

I remember someone running into problems with the oil pan resting on the steering rack, but I don't recall what it was.

Great Video - The one comment I would suggest is that the transitions with the racecar are a bit loud compared to the normal volume! If you can adjust those in the future ;)

Good Call on returning that other Brake Kleen product though... Smart man. Always spray the large amount with at least the door open! Cheers.

I read somewhere that the kits now come with spacers under the mounts for NB models.

Interesting, it seems like it would have to move pretty high to accommodate the NB rack.

Have you considered what the Kswap folks do and chop off the power steering and the bosses that stick out and then add electric power steering if you need it?

I didn't know about that. I will take a look. I also have a K-Power kit on hand, but that will be another build.
