It's from a French show called "Nulle part ailleurs" on the Canal Plus channel. I was absolutely mesmerized by the song. On his guitar is written "La Cigale demain" meaning they played at the La Cigale venue the day after.
Copperopolis . . . so underrated, yet my favorite GLB release. They created such rich textures on this one. . . . . Nothing else like it exists... Thanks guys, and thanks, for uploading this behind.
I saw them at the 7th street entry (the small room in 1st Ave) in Mpls. It was 1996 and 16 hp opened, what a show. There were just a couple hundred people there, so it felt like they were playing in my basement. Perfect two bands to tour together. 10 out of 10 show!
In my opinion "Little Moon" is his best work so far!!! Been following his work since Fuzzy was introduced to me through reading a Michael Stipe quote about GLB way back when......

copperopolis is above beyond their other albums imo. they reached their musical maturity in the album. btw who did the strings on this live set? paul himself? or overdubs? i dig it when he played the piano bass line, but still can't identify where the other rich sounds come from.

I love Grant Lee Buffalo, but this sure does sound a lot like U2's Dirty Day.
He looks like Tom DeLonge's older, much more talented, but shorter brother.
