Great Grandpa Clifford Lovette shows Josh chords on a custom F5 mandolin that he built in 1984.

Music can be a family legacy and heritage. Clifford passed it down to his children and grandchildren and I am passing the love of playing the guitar down to mine. Here at a Lovette family reunion about 25 years ago, Cliff shows my son Josh some chords on his old F5 mandolin. I still have that mandolin. I break it out from time to time, clean it with care, play a song or two and put it back in its case. Cliff is gone now but he is still remembered with love and respect. Clifford was a tough old Lineman for over 40 years. Not only was he an incredible luthier and craftsman but also a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather and friend.
