It is not hard to see why some people consider this to be the greatest transformers toy ever made. Though personally, my favorite super mode is the RID Optimus/Ultra Magnus fusion. Second being the absolute behemoth that is Armada Optimus/Jetfire/Overload combo.
@@KitKatastrophe Toywise they aren't as good as Cybertron Optimus (well maybe the RID fusion is better considering how many options you got), but designwise and how they looked in animation I think they are better.

Man, this figure is incredible. It was one of my first serious steps in my collection. Though unfortunately mine hasn't aged well over time. The forward hip ratchets given out, leaving the joints to their own friction. The hadgun barely stays in place in the truck/super mode. And all the joints in the backpack are gummed up with something, I'm not even sure what. Making the two cyber key gimmicks all but useless. Regardless, it's a figure I hold near and dear to my heart, and wouldn't trade for anything.
Why is it that other, newer Optimus Prime figures with similar super modes don’t have fireable plastic missiles or electronic firing sounds and lights?
@@KitKatastrophe So is that the reason why newer transformers toys don’t have fireable plastic missiles anymore and just plastic blast effects? I thought it had something to do with not sacrificing show accuracy by adding extra gimmicks.

I've never had the pleasure of experiencing the other two; theyre definitely on my grails list

I have the Takara version of both Optimus & Wing Saber.
How come the mouthplate on this figure doesn't interfere with neck movement, but Animated Optimus has that problem?
This is my first ever Transformer, and one I still own to this day because it's brilliant.
