I've played for over 20 years (7 with lessons). Drumlines, bands, many many pro gigs. Im in a tool tribute now and i couldnt play this song until a year ago. This girl is remarkably talented, Maybe a prodigy, but i think that word gets thrown around too often and diminishes the hard work and countless hours that many people commit to mastering a skill like this.
The way she markets herself to the rest of the world and the fact that she is a mimic reminds me of another Brit by the name of Gordon Ramsay. I, as a chef would never disrespect others in the field much the same as I would never disrespect other musicians and their talent. She has certainly hit the ground running. The world is waiting and the stage is yours. Nandi is out in the lead. What are you gonna do?
She already mimic'd Peart... so I got total confidence this girl will own the world of drumming if she wants to. As to the term that brought me here -- if *she* isn't a _prodigy,_ then I would humbly inquire what you think would even qualify as one? I'd even suggest her talent level versus her youth is in fact what brought the thought into my head. Also, she cited 46&2 as a challenge, and cited Tom Sawyer as fun. From my vantage she made short work of both.
I've been a studio drummer for many, many years (decades). I still am sitting here with my jaw to the floor smiling ! That's what you've done to this professional drummer(in his 40's), after seeing this cover. Don't ever let the shine in your star go out.... It's way to bright ! Peace my friend...
I was one of the UK female drummers in the 60s, 70s and 80s and this young lady is a force to be reckoned with. Lovely for us older drummers to see this young lady taking it to a different level isn't it? Merry Christmas 🎅
I saw her live at the Forum in Los Angeles with the Foo Fighters! She stole the hearts of everyone there. I felt like I witnessed a true rock star being born! Nandi Rocks!😎

Covering and playing with the Foos is awesome. But this….this is a whole other level of magic and astounding musicianship. Covering Tool, and this song particularly, is insanely challenging for drummers far more experienced than you. You are an inspiration, your enthusiasm is infectious and you are a joy to watch. Hats off also to the adults in your life that have helped you get to where you are.
As Peart would write in tongues, this is natural rhythm. From instinct, born from the womb and it's hydro-acoustics via liquideous nature. She heard all this before, tribal beats, off beats, rapid and heavy beats. From the heart she learned and from the heart she plays. 2 songs from separate legends, I am humbled.
I was moved to tears by this! This beautiful little drummer girl never missed an opportunity to show how joyful she felt while making MAGIC. I hope Danny Carey shows her some love.

I’m sorry Nandi, this is getting ridiculous now. This was off the flipping scale. That drum fill solo. 😮. I’m now convinced you are from another planet. ✊🏻

Not sure what impresses me the most about you Nandi. Is it the perfect execution & stick control, the fact that you clearly love what you do, the fact that your heart is in every beat, or is it the ever present ear to ear smile? I think it's a perfect combination of all those things & more. The smiles you inspire are also ever present. Shine on little star!!!
Holy cow, young lady. I played for decades and was told I was pretty good and it took a lot of work. I could never make it look so easy and relaxed. You are a natural, you make it look so effortless. I know you practice and work hard on your craft, not saying you don't at all, just a shout out to let you know that you make it look so easy. I just rewatched Nandi with Chad S and Gregg B and she is so humble watching the guys as she learns from them. She concentrates on their entirety of the motion from feet to hands trying to absorb as much as possible and doesn’t take anything for granted. She is fantastic!!!!
Pushing up the sleeves and the look on her face before the solo says "Watch this... I am going to destroy the solo" Great job Nandi! It has been so fun watching you grow up. You have no limitations whatsoever for the future!
Amazing young lady! Someone else offered many kind words that i agreed with. I only cry tears of joy watching you attempt to be an octopus with 4 limbs. Wonderful, on a piece that most call VERY, VERY, VERY difficult.
Wow! Yes, Tool is very difficult and my personal favorite. Incredible job! Up for another challenge? Ticks and Leaches? Quite possibly the best drum song ever, IMO.

Tool posted about it on their story. Safe to say Danny will see it if he hasn't already.
Girl power to the nth degree starring Nandi!! Amazing, spectacular, brilliant, superb are just a few words to describe this talented, beautiful gem! Love her! More Nandi please!! ❣️
Thank you for delving into tool and Danny Carey the best drummer in the world.. RIP Neal Peart
Nandi!!!!!!! YOU DID IT!!!!!!!Whew! that song sounded hard. I’m not a drummer but I know I heard some complicated drumming going on. Sounded like chewing gum, patting your head and rubbing your tummy counterclockwise!!!!! …….what an achievement!
All while each of your feet are tapping out two different rhythms..
I regret that I can only give this one thumbs up. Amazing video - I hope Danny Carey sees this.
Wow! Awesome stuff Nandi. I've been following your journey for about a year or so and had been intending to suggest you look at some Tool stuff... AND NOW YOU HAVE!!!!! And you killed it! They are one of my favourite bands, hope you get to meet Danny Carey sometime, say hi for me lol.
Thank you so much for sharing what you do, its so wonderful, positive and life affirming to see someone truly loving what they do. I suffer from severe depression and you never fail to put a smile on my face.
Thanks again and keep up the good work, you're a shining beacon in a world that's so often dull and miserable.
Much love and best wishes.
Nandi is America's sweetheart! We absolutely think the world of this extraordinarily gifted rock drummer girl. How great is it to see her smiling and enjoying her talent thoroughly .Congratulations and great job on the Nickelodeon show, I believe it was.So proud!✌
I'm so happy that you are now a Prog fan!!! I'm now a Nandi fan!!! I have to show your work to the folks on my channel. You are an incredible natural talent but also have clearly worked hard at it. But best of all, I believe that drums come easy to you because you LOVE them! This is not work to you so much as it is fun! That clearly pays off in the phenomenal talent that you have. Prog Rock Dock salutes you!!! Be good because you are!~Sebastian
Learning how to play this song was one the the biggest revelations for drumming for me. You always rock the right songs and so well done!
Picking my jaw up off the floor. WOW!! Flawless. I love Tool and you just blew it out of the water! YEEEEEESSSSS!😃
Wow!!!! Nandi!!!! My favorite song!!! You crushed it!!!!!
Loving it like I love Curtis Moss’ version with O’Keefe. Young people just shredding Tool = the future is not lost! Thank you Nandi, thank you so much!
Curtis Moss is a beast on drums!!!
All you drummers just got put on notice. I doubt you can be as adorable mugging to the camera and playing as joyous as Nandi does while she crushes these difficult covers. You know there is a great supporter behind her, who is it her uncle, parents, teacher? Go Nandi!
Thanks to you , you introduce me to new music 🎶 thanks for opening my mind.
Respect genius 🙏
