DSP has this really weird mentality thats mostly seen in fighting games but about gaming in general where if something worked once, it must work all the time. Like in Dark Souls, if this tactic/move worked once, it must work against every enemy. So for fighting games its like "This combo worked, therefore it must work all the time now" without thinking WHY it worked that one time (e.g. he fooled someone into the combo, the person wasn't a good player, it works well against that character etc.) and any other time it doesn't work, it MUST be scrub players, it MUST be capcahm, it MUST be lag. He can't comprehend that the person adapted because he spams the same combo over and over because thats "the combo that works" and he never adapts. Its like creative thinking doesn't enter his head, he can't creatively think on the spot. We saw that in Zelda too.
@Clamfaced That's why him and LTG are the most free fighting game players around. They play in a very predictable way and never strays from that. How about a collection of all the times DSP actually acknowledged its opponent's skill and that the other player was simply better than him? Might be a nice YT Short xD
You can tell from the way he looked at his stick right after and how he said "I...down backed" so unconvincingly that he tried to parry instead of blocking, not realizing he was in burn out until after he was already dead. I looked up the match and that's exactly what he did. 😂 He was probably looking at P1 meter thinking it was his.
It's amazing how he has absolutely no clue about the rules of this game. Like I wonder if he genuinely knows he is wrong and is doing it for entertainment, or just doesn't know for real. 1. "I was holding down back I don't know how that hit me" - it hit you because we saw the big ass yellow COUNTER HIT text which means you were also pressing a button, while holding down back 2. "That was a block string, he should not have been able to do his EX move" - that is just wrong, it's not a block string if you are doing drive rush, and there is room for an invincible startup move to hit you. 3. "There's nothing I can do about that" (after a throw) - actually yes, you can tech, but you pressed another button because we saw COUNTER HIT again 4. "These top tiers, I do drive reversal and he still gets a free hit" - yes, because he BLOCKED your drive reversal, and that is a punish counter. 5. "I'm already burnt out, 10 seconds in, and I haven't even drive rushed yet" - actually, you did drive rush, and you also did a drive rush cancel, and those 2 moves are 4 bars right there. 6. "Everything is a mash" - no, it's that you are predictable and suck and know how to beat you easily 7. "It dropped my moves" - no, you just have terrible execution 8. "It's an instant overhead and you can't block it online" - lol Chun Li's overhead is far from instant. He's just old and can't react anymore. 9. "Why did I lose?" - because you suck and don't understand the game.
I am surprised, genuinely, that he seems to believe the game is busted considering he managed to misclick where he cast a spell in BG3 earlier. He must be living like that dude in the episode from Quantum Leap (you know the one...) thinking he's normal when, in reality, he's an oaf.
@@Prime92 I mean tbh DSP never means to do anything when it comes to fighting games. He claims that he doesnt press a button but he clearly does. Thats why it says counter hit so we never know. Capcom is full of detractors
I’m pretty new to learning about this… creature (absolutely fascinated by the simultaneous god/victim complex). And I’m more of an RPG nerd than a fighting game nerd, BUT if all these players are “pattern players” and he’s been such a great “champion” in fighting games over the years, wouldn’t he recognize the patterns easily? Like I said, I’m so fascinated by him- his thought process thinking he’s such a genius mastermind, but he’s just so staggeringly stupid. Love all the detractor comments and content, y’all are great!
If DSP wants to know why he is losing. He is losing because he is playing every opponent like they're all the same person. All people have different playstyles, but most of them have the same thing common. So you have to take your time to learn your opponent and learn their tendencies. If he actually started doing that instead of doing the pattern gameplay, he accuses everyone else of doing, then he might start winning. We know that's not going to happen. Can't wait to see more SALT from him when Tekken 8 releases, if he buys it.
I've had sf6 have lag problems that I have to fix using nvidia control panel, but I've never seen or experienced this "game dropping the inputs" phil tries to gaslight on everyone
I fought the FGC Calgary Blanka back when he was a lower rank and he destroyed me. That's not saying much because I'm not very good but it's nice to see he's made it to master and is annhilating Phil :)
The way he goes from laughing to serious at 1:42 is honestly creepy. It's weird that he knows that he has all these eyes on him and he wants to have complete control over the narrative. what a psycho
I like how his expertise in fighting games allows him to determine when his opponent is just button mashing or making lucky guesses or engaged in pattern play yet prevents him from easily defeating those same opponents. What use is your strategical or tactical prowess if it only allows you to understand why you lose but seldom how you can win?
DSP : "If you like street fighter and if you like my new attitude please support the stream" Also DSP : "WOW I COULDN'T BLAHHK THAT, I COULDN'T DO ANYTHING"
I can already tell the cultists are either getting tired or giving him flak about his constant excuses while playing that he felt forced to say before playing that he needed to tone down on it lmao. And right after saying that he just throws it out the window and starts with the excuses xD
Bro thinking he'll actually stop yelling at the players. When one guy teabags him he suddenly acts like he wasn't insulting the player already, then says "I thought you were a good player, but now that you've teabagged I klnow your a shit human being" yes.... teabagging makes you the worst of the worst. Man when he gets worked up he really gets worked up. I also like that he blamed this on the old FGC where you apparently shit talked in the middle of matches at eachother. Pretty sure most people shut up and focus when they are playing hard. I know some of the shit talking back then was sometimes real, but alot of the time it for the 'show' like wrestling. But I guarentee Phil either used that as a cover, or didn't understand that. And alongside his generally terrible ability to make friends so people would believe he's just messing around he just added to the fire of why people disliked him. Dude is gonna be 42 and he still cannot stop himself from utterly losinghis mind and yelling at the TV and insulting players. I know games can be frustrating and I'm not against getting mad, but damn..... it's every single time, and he always resorts to calling the game shit and the players shit. He NEVER just admits "Damn I made the wrong move and I'm mad at myself cause I know what I should do, but I mess it up" my brother plays fighting games and usually that's why he gets mad, when he knows he's messing upand lost himself the match. All his excuses don't evenmake sense once he plays another Blanka. I mean how can you justify him being a better character than you. You have the exact same frame data. It's the biggest sign that you suck, when a mirror match comes up and proves that even on a perfectly balanced playing field you get your ass handed to you.
hmm his behavior doesn't sound fake seems like he's really exposing the fact that he can't handle the game and is really a big irredeemable piece a garbage.
I love it when phil fights someone using one of his mains against him, and you see the correct way to play the character instead of the spam bullshit that we get from him 🤣

3. "There's nothing I can do about that" (after a throw) - actually yes, you can tech, but you pressed another button because we saw COUNTER HIT again
6. "Everything is a mash" - no, it's that you are predictable and suck and know how to beat you easily
7. "It dropped my moves" - no, you just have terrible execution
I'm regarded? ( Guts theme starts playing)
Being toxic is as second nature to Phil as lying, snorting and burping.
Phill: "I do all my moves smart and calculated!!"
Also Phill: (Whiff panic EX Vertical Blanka ball on wake up)
He didn't mean to do that though. Did it look like he did that? Cause he for real didn't. Game's just too laggy and dropped his input.
Phil needs a job. Staying cool is beyond his skill set
Not even a day after, ladies and gentlemen.
Man is truly an inspiration...
He’s literally fighting the urge to yell insults and slurs. I love watching him seethe.
Fail getting perfect k.o’d gives me lmfao 😂
“That is not possible unless playjng online “ than how come I do that in offline locals all the time 🤔
I fought the FGC Calgary Blanka back when he was a lower rank and he destroyed me.
2:16 HES ACTUALLY GASLIGHTING THE FUCKING VIDEOGAME
They're playing in a pattern, there's nothing I could do XD
Smooth buttery 60 blames per second
I like how his expertise in fighting games allows him to determine when his opponent is just button mashing or making lucky guesses or engaged in pattern play yet prevents him from easily defeating those same opponents.
What use is your strategical or tactical prowess if it only allows you to understand why you lose but seldom how you can win?
Let's face it. His opponents can't slow down their gameplay in order to make him look good. Suks to B Phil.
DSP : "If you like street fighter and if you like my new attitude please support the stream"
Also DSP : "WOW I COULDN'T BLAHHK THAT, I COULDN'T DO ANYTHING"
Love that before he even boots the game up he admits he KNOWS he's going to claim there's a missed input when he gets beaten.
He’s just not screaming. But he’s saying the same bullshit in a lower tone of voice. Totally new attitude for our boy Phil. 🙄🙄
Mah Blahnka Bahlls won't come out, WTF!! jab, jab, jab, mash, mash, mash. It didn't come out and I can't even blahck! Nothing I could do, d00d.
I love watching dsp getting roasted in mirror matches
Bro chun li stance overhead being "instant" is wild
I love how he claims shit doesn't work offline when he hasn't played this shit offline with a single solitary soul.
Its so funny to me that he was desperate for SF6 to win game of the year. All he does is whine about how broken it is lmao
Dsp is the guy that thinks that by putting on a "Nice" shirt or makes him a better person. What a loser.
The veil of ‘All new Phil’ broke on those 2 spicy perfect KO’s
He's just so insufferable.
I love it when phil fights someone using one of his mains against him, and you see the correct way to play the character instead of the spam bullshit that we get from him 🤣
"If you like my new attitude, give me money", the fuck?
Support if you like my new attitude is wild. He's literally doing the exact same thing the only new thing is an added hint of passive aggressiveness
It's so funny how hard you can see he is trying to hold in the toxicity to prove people he can be calm it's so funny
7:00 That ken lmao, baited and predicted phail moves like a champ
9:25. Shout outs to the WHAT I THINK is the FIRST double perfect i've seen so far DSP. Put her in the Hall of Fame with Ludwig and Champion Gundyr for breaking Phil.
So....what's this new attitude Phil mentioned?
Everyone knows that a spamming Luke should never be able to beat a thinking Blanka.
