Paul tests the Evanix Sniper, .45 caliber airgun in this episode. It gets 7-8 full power shots per fill, has a 6rd multi-shot mag, smooth side-lever action, and has the power and accuracy need for taking down medium sized game at 35-50 yards.
Available calibers: .22, .25, 9mm, .45 & .50
Ammo used in review: Air Venturi .45 Cal, 180 Grains, Round Nose

That's one beast of an air rifle!!
Joe's Model Kits that things a Dog & a poodle at that . My slightly mode Texan runs 180 grain slugs at 1159 FPS & 259 Aeromagnum at 1009
Thanks Paul
Backyard plinking just became fun again!
lol with a db reading of 105.2 good luck with that, unless you live in the middle of nowhere !
hunter100t 105 is not good for an airgun but loudness-wise it is not middle of no where bad ,, like a chainsaw www.sengpielaudio.com/TableOfSoundPressureLevels.htm I've seen reviews at 100-101 range with certain pellets.
Yeah I agree with others, you do seem to yank the trigger a bit.. and also, I can't help thinking that pulling down with your two left hand fingers must surely affect your shooting. I never see good shooters doing that.
Great product! I recommend
You can get a 44 Magnum for sure, but you can't beat quiet sound that the air gun provides.
This air rifle cannot compare to the knock-down power of a .44 Mag but for the money of this rifle, I can have both, a firearm and a NFA reg. suppressor and then we can talk sound.
J H we sure can,, a 45 with an 850 dollar suppressor (plus an additional 200 dollar "tax" and up to 2 years in a worst case to get approved - so a suppressor alone over 1000 dollars) According to the company (which is a rosy view as actual results come in louder) has a DB of 125 www.ironridgeguns.com/suppressor-45/ , 133 DB with a .45 mag, Now the above Air rifle has actual tests on youtube showing it's DB at around 101 WOW do you know the difference between 101 vs 125 vs 133 ? Every 10 decibels is DOUBLE the loudness. 120 is threshold of discomfort, 130 is threshold of pain, above 115-120 has a chance is resulting it permanent hearing damage from a single sound. www.sengpielaudio.com/TableOfSoundPressureLevels.htm Yes , lets talk sound cause ppl should know just how much more quite this airgun is when compared to your theoretical .45 mag with an expensive suppressor. 300% Quieter.
Invincible Hope
No NFA transfer is taking anywhere near 2 years. Maybe 9 months max. Secondly, you would not have to pay $850 for a .45 suppressor and the suppressor you buy at this bore size could suppress ANYTHING, pistol or rifle so you get a much more widely applicable survival tool than you are thinking. 44 special (same gun for both) is subsonic and suppressed, it will be QUIETER than this air gun, guaranteed.
As to sound, I listed the actual price of an actual quality suppressor in the caliber you mentioned, sure there are many cheaper but there are many much more expensive as well, just like scopes, but none are cheap for a quality one + the 200 dollar stamp fee.
From what I've looked into, the subsonic and the suppressed .44 mag is still much loader than the 103-105 DB of the air rifle (multiple times loader in fact) Here is a three gun test www.smallarmsreview.com/display.article.cfm?idarticles=2119 Please note that ALL the supsonic suppressed .44 is still coming in at 130ish DB which is 2.5 times louder than that airgun ... and keep in mind subsonic mean much lower fps than a normal bullet, some in the 700 and 600 fps range (keep in mind the above air rifle can hit 670 fps, although to be fair the pellet is 30 to 120 grains lighter than most .44 bullets)
Summery, the subsonic bullets have greater loudness and cost ( the black hills .44 special bullet - 210 grain at 700 fps- cost 2-3 times more than the pellet and is twice as loud).
Now, if we are being honest,, you really need subsonic for suppressors to work and the suppressor manufacture that I linked to earlier WAS using subsonic ammo.
Here are test results with three different guns and multiple ammo (subsonic included) from the article on the suppressor tests above: Testing began with the Ruger 77/44 bolt-action rifle. Unsuppressed sound pressure measurements averaged 151.5 dB using Black Hills .44 Special 210-grain flat-point lead bullets with an average velocity of 817 fps. Unsuppressed sound pressure measurements averaged 159.1 dB for the Sipos’ 300-grain Hornady XTP JHP with an average velocity of 1,275 fps. Suppressed sound pressure measurements averaged 129.1 dB for John’s Guns 77/44 with the earlier baffle stack shooting the Black Hills .44 Special for an overall reduction of 22.4 dB at 701 fps. Suppressed sound pressure measurements averaged 138.9 dB for the Sipos 300-grain Hornady XTP JHP for an overall sound reduction of 20.2 dB at an average velocity of 1,035 fps. Velocities and terminal ballistics were much higher with the Sipos ammunition when compared to the .44 Special ammunition, with some sacrifice in sound reduction.
The second weapon tested was the Ruger 96/44 lever-action rifle with the upgraded baffle stack. Unsuppressed sound pressure measurements averaged 152.2 dB using Black Hills .44 Special 210-grain flat-point lead bullets with an average velocity of 807 fps. Unsuppressed sound pressure measurements averaged 160.2 dB for the Sipos 300-grain Hornady XTP JHP with an average velocity of 1,240 fps. Suppressed sound pressure measurements averaged 125.5 dB for John’s Guns 96/44 with the latest baffle stack shooting the Black Hills .44 Special for an overall reduction of 26.7 dB at 720 fps. Suppressed sound pressure measurements averaged 133.7 dB for the Sipos 300-grain Hornady XTP JHP with an overall sound reduction of 26.5 dB at an average velocity of 1,160 fps. It’s obvious from these test results that the new baffle stack actually increases the velocities over the earlier baffle stack and greatly reduces the overall sound levels.
The third weapon tested was John’s Guns suppressed Thompson Center Encore .44 pistol. Unsuppressed sound pressure measurements averaged 157.1 dB using Black Hills .44 Special 210-grain flat-point lead bullets with an average velocity of 647 fps. Unsuppressed sound pressure measurements averaged 160.7 dB for the Sipos 300-grain Hornady XTP JHP with an average velocity of 984 fps. Suppressed sound pressure measurements averaged 127.1 dB for John’s Guns Encore pistol with the latest baffle stack shooting the Black Hills .44 Special for an overall reduction of 30 dB at 659 fps. Suppressed sound pressure measurements averaged 131.8 dB for the Sipos 300-grain Hornady XTP JHP for an overall sound reduction of 28.9 dB at an average velocity of 1,001 fps.
On WAIT TIMES:
Alright, 2 years is over the top to make a point about the ridiculous wait times, apologies, but so are the ridiculous actual wait times www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2012/03/foghorn/nfa-wait-times-explode-no-relief-in-sight/ they Average OVER 140 days currently, I did had a friend tell me he waited nearly a year although I have no way to verify that and maybe the 4-6 months average range just felt like a year to him at the time.
😂😂😂😂first thing i did when i got my baby home was spray painting the hotdog Matt black🎉❤🎉
Lovely legal way for self defence in Holland and a great Hunter ❤
Hey Paul I was wondering can this gun be filled with a hand pump like the Benjamin marauder & discovery and if so what hand pump would I need to order for it and fittings
thank you !
+ghost Ghost Hello - You can fill this gun with a hand pump. It will take a lot, but it can be done. First Pump and connector:
www.pyramydair.com/s/a/Air_Venturi_G6_Hand_Pump_4500_PSI/5320
www.pyramydair.com/s/a/Air_Venturi_Male_Quick_Disconnect_1_8_BSPP_Female_Threads_Steel_Rated_to_5000_PSI_Incl_Delrin_Seal/3550
Second set:
www.pyramydair.com/s/a/Hill_Pump_MK4_Up_to_4000_PSI/5501 - no connector needed.
I have an Evanix Sniper-K bought in 2019 in the carbine this written engraved 250 Bar but in the pressure gauge the green color zone goes exactly until the 200 bar after it is red up to the 400 Bar, buy a few days have not yet filled the air cylinder. Anyone who understands these things can tell me if I can safely fill up to 250 Bar ???
Will this rifle shoot 150yds accurately with enough fpe to penetrate a deer skull ???
You seem to be snatching your shots. Follow through on the trigger mate :)
exactly not to mention that when he checked his trigger pull he pulled all the way back bottoming the trigger out which in no way would allow for a correct poundage check. Most of those air rifles have a breakdown on the trigger around 2 lb to as much as 4= it should no way be approaching 8 pounds.
When do u guys think you will be doing a review on the benjamin trail np2 .22?
have u guys ever looked at the black ops sniper rifle??????
All that money and you can only use are relatively light and short pellets. Anyone come up with the idea to increase the width of the magazine to accommodate heavier ones?
Two things you always hear when looking at an Evanix or an FX.. "Wow" and "How much?!"
Ernie Stars always to much lol
Refurb on Amazon for 800 right now though and it's. 357
Lol!
nice review .. the stand called " Triax Stand " ??
Tri-X-Stand... can be found here: ewcalls.com/
Imur Huckleberry thanks :)
how well does the .35 cal shoot those 105 grn flat nose air venturi
hey I orders a gun and you guys didn't take the money out of my card its the weekend do you only get orders on weekdays
How about in 50 caliber ? What’s the FPS?
That rifle should still be able to move those heavy slugs a lot closer to 800 fps. It's just too slow. The trigger weight is absolutely horrible.
Nicely wrapped review video. must subscribe this channel. any review on Evanix Rainstorm 3D?
Any reviews on this gun in 25cal 30cal or 35cal
Why does he keep breaking his cheek weld after every shot?! It literally doubles the size of any group...
I sat watching the video thinking much the same. Interesting video all said and done.
He was reading his chrono.
I think I want one.
4:46 it looks like the under amour logo
Can heat mess up a daisy powerline 901 ?? Anyone
Is it really so loud you have to wear plugs?
I would not say it's SUPER loud, but it's loudish. And certainly if you break the sound barrier by shooing very light pellets it will crack pretty good.
@@pyramydair Thanks.
Nice !
WOW 7lb trigger pull is brutal and even down to 4lbs is kinda sad tbh
You cant shoot good groups with a 7 lbs trigger pull 4 lbs would be very hard ideally 1lb 8 oz max
Anyone wondering how to calc muzzle energy?
*Velocity² x grains of projectile ÷ 450240*
I bought one of those Lyman gauges, *I hate it.* - Want a 2lb trigger? Pull it quickly. Want a 7lb trigger? Pull it slowly. I prefer my old-skool spring gauge by Wheeler Engineering
how much it cost?
I get why they make this medium game air rifles. but it's a lot cheaper just to buy a 22lr for 150 instead of this 7-8 hundred. now is it really worth 500 extra bucks for a quite gun. unless your hunting in a illegal time or place you should be ok
I understand your point, heck, I just saw a Savage Model 95 .22WMR for $200.00, new. As a novice-level airgunner, I can honestly tell you that it's more about the challenge of getting in close to your game/target. With air rifles, you have to be so much more precise with your shot placement, if your aim is a clean, "humane", one-shot kill. The ammo's a lot cheaper, too. Just my humble opinion... Safe Shooting!
Noob
@@bonsolid933 don't know who. But my opinion has changed to agree with Rene now and I too think that airgunning us fun because of the difficulty of the hunt to get close.
Native Joel Apples & Bowling balls It’s just not the same
aqui no Brasil 15 mil reais 👀👀👀👀👀👀
Great video Paul. I almost went with the .45 but choose the .357 instead. I was thinking the same thing for the cheek piece. I am loving the .357. First time I took it out I was able to hold a 1" at 50 yards. I have a new Hawke sidewinder 30 on it now so I may be able to get tighter groups. Here is my video review

Panting that wood changed the rifle so much wounder why thay didn't do it
Will it kill deer
Absolutely. And elephant calf too.
wow YANK that trigger!? ,try squeezing and not pulling so abruptly that was like 35# of pulling force all of a sudden ? ,use the pad of your finger not the corner of the finger joint ? , slowly squeeze straight back while exhaling , just saying
btw that stand is flimsy aluminum piece of shit , and why is it so catty wompous can't you level it out with the legs ?
Mit so einem Gestell kann jeder das Ziel treffen
Bad accuracy at 50,75 yds.I don't like big bores.
peter MCD keep in mind hes poppin a 5" target @75yrds. Thats pretty decent.
Your barrel movement is too much to be doing an accuracy test. The end result is the grouping is disgusting at 35yds.
a 45 cal with less power than the Benjamin bull dog 9mm ....uughhhhh
shit!
how well does the .35 cal shoot those 105 grn flat nose air venturi
