Just wanna say thanks for the no-nonsense videos. I have watched many of your vids and always appreciate your brevity and get-to-the-point kind of work you do. You don't waste your viewer's time, and that is genuinely appreciated. Thanks!
Great video. I am a one pickup man as well. Thanks Leslie West. Lol. Your tip on using the middle screw to act as alignment was good info. thankxx and cheers!
@@youarenotsafe2215 ive not had much chance to try it out sadly. i decided to refit the neck with threaded inserts, but one of them chewed up (crappy zinc) so i'm waiting on some stainless steel replacements in the post. once i have that fitted, i'll report back!
@you are not safe I really like this bridge now it's all installed and working. Its really adjustable. Lots of intonation range, I can set the string spacing exactly as I like it. The bridge sounds great and it's very comfortable under my hand. The only criticism is the rollers move very easily when you are changing strings so you have to be careful not to move them out of place. But otherwise I love it.
Nice choice on bridge. I think next to G&L's Saddle-lock, these are the best design on the market. I like your designs. Would be very interested in doing a hardtail Strat collaboraboration with you.
Hello, I see you put this bridge on a left handed guitar. I'm building a left-handed telecaster and want to put this bridge on, but the Schaller site says it's not suitable for left-handed guitars due to the boot grooves on the dials facing right-handed guitars. Can you tell me where you got the left handed bridge or can those wheels be removed and turned for a left handed guitar? Thanks in advance for your reply and help
Please tell me what is that type of bridge called that you removed??? I have one, and I’m trying to find a tremolo system that will work with the three screw holes. I want to avoid any routing. Thank you! This is the only place I have found a bridge like mine after hours of searching...
This is exactly what I am trying to do with a 72 tele deluxe reissue! I heard the shop that these come from do shoddy work and the bridge may not even be properly aligned to begin with! need to restring to do a rough check, but I would like to learn how to mathematically know for sure....
You'll need to measure the scale length as accurately as possible. Measure the distance from the nut to the bridge, where the string contacts the saddle. That measurement should be 25.5" for a tele. If you can't get that measurement to work out, you may need to move the bridge forward of back to correct it. This should be only in extreme cases though, typically if you can't get the intonation correct and the saddles are bottomed out either forward or back. Hope this helps.
Hi pal. Id like to ask you something thats been running on my head since im planing to replace my Bridge. Im not english native speaker so maybe you already mentioned It on the video and i didnt get It. In a certain moment on the video you Talk about putting the new Bridge in its place. I always thought the Bridge needs to be on a precise spot (not far nor closer to the headstock than it has to be) un order to keep the instrument proper intonation. You seems to be placing It by eye with little to no worries about this. Did you do previous messurements or am i wrong and you dont need to be that strict about distance?
I cannot find the answer to this anywhere on the internet, so if you could help I would appreciate it. I have a Squier Bullet Stratocaster Hardtail that I'm upgrading. it's the 5-screw fender style top-loading hardtail. Do you think this Schaller will fit in the existing holes or will I have to drill new holes? this is gonna be a deciding factor for me.

Perfect! Just what I needed to learn
Thanx, been trying to find more builds with this bridge.
I've been using these bridges for a while now and really like them. They're very adjustable and the quality is great.

I've just ordered one of these bridges for an upgrade and it should be here tomorrow! This is just what I needed!
Awesome. I think you'll like the bridge. They're good quality.
Adam Pleasance how was the bridge?

Thats a top loader bridge
This is a top loading Schaller bridge. Its a hardtail bridge so doesn't have any tremolo.

This is definitely not a direct replacement for a 5 Screw Strat Bridge.
