  • Hey guys and gals! Here's my latest update on the search for a new tool bag... Spoiler alert: it's not a bag.
While this video is NOT sponsored, I want to thank Completely Cordless for giving me the idea. It's a great idea, and I'm glad he did the R&D necessary to design it, so I don't have to.
I want to point out here that I used 1" inner diameter pvc pipe, but any 1" ID pipe would work (it just might not fit like this). The pipes are 4" long, but you can make them longer or shorter if needed (I would go to 6" if you have any tools like 18" Channellocks that are much longer than 12".) I used hot glue to assemble the parts, but you can use something else if you like. Hot glue is a great tool though, and the (again, not sponsored) Ryobi hot glue guns are amazing. The ingenious part of this is that while it is plenty solid, it actually has no attachment point to the box itself, just friction. That allows me to clean the box if I need to, and to change things up whenever I want to.
Also, for anyone wanting some of the accessories I mentioned, go see Stack Smarter online. They have all kinds of cool stuff, and it's amazing what you can do!

how did you get the pvc pipes to stay up straight without having the fall out?

Hot glue. Glued along the lettering on the side of the pipe, then set the pipes on a table and pressed them together (that way they are both parallel).
If you mean, how do I keep the tools from falling over, I just count on the friction fit.

1" schedule 40 pipe? How length did you cut them to?

is that the ryobi diamond but driver set? I almost picked that up at home depot the other day on sale under $10. I just liked how small the case was and wanted it for my other bits in my tool bag.

Yep. That's it. Personally like the Dewalt security bit one better. Bit bigger case, but better if you don't need the belt clip on the back of it. The ryobi bits are junk. One PH #3 had all the diamonds flake off where it contacted ONE screw. It held for a while, but then it let go, and so did all the diamonds. Would be a cool tool, bit if it's that cheap, and only the Phillips have the diamonds, that's the last case of them I ever buy.

@@woodworkerroyer8497 Thanks! glad I didn’t get them. I’m looking for a good case that is around that size.
