  • You never fully appreciate how much your pets mean to you until a moment arrives where they could be taken away in a flash. Today was that day for me.

Thank you, that’s very kind of you! I used to be a dog person until my wife convinced me to get a cat, now I love both 😆

We have a lot of cats and they are all indoor cats. It helps that we are at home as well. We inherited my aunt’s cat and he had been an outdoor cat and we thought he would always be wanting to go out…but no. He seems quite happy being an indoor cat now. He makes no effort to door dash. Ok, so we have to put up with cat litters. It helps that they are in a pack…group…clowder…pile…heap… Glad to hear your boy is OK.

We intended for Chester to be an indoor cat but we realised very early on he was never going to stay indoors 😆 to be fair to him he’s never once been an issue in terms of going missing or anything like that, if he goes out for the day almost like clockwork at 9pm he will come home… amazing really!

Situations like this make the priorities in our life so clear. Work often takes centre stage in our life but when it comes to it work means nothing without everyone in our life (pets included!)
Work should always be our last priority - something I’m trying to get better at.
    Glad Chester is okay!

It really does bring things into perspective. And whether it’s people or pets, it’s important to not lose sight of the those around us and take them for granted, because it’s so easy to do.
Thanks buddy, he’s resting up for now!

Please take him to the vet as that is a serious injury and it's your responsibility as an owner, there could be internal damage that you can't see. Glad to know he survived and doesn't look that bad, I hope he's not in pain, animals can hide the pain really well. The vet should be able to prescribe pain medication if needed. I wish Chester a nice recovery and I wish you and your wife some calm days. Pets really are family so I totally understand your emotion at the end. All will be well

He’s been taken to the vet don’t worry, all is good, no breaks or anything major, just a very swollen back leg. A week on and he’s almost completely back to normal and bouncing around like the crazy cat he always is 😁
Thanks for watching and commenting, I really appreciate it!
