I just wish one day we can snap foundations on top of each others, and to walls or ceilings.. so you can continue building the support structures on different elevations.
@@HandsOfSt0ned I dunno about the new ark but in survival evolved at least you couldn't snap foundations to walls or ceilings, and you couldn't build them on top of each other. Well, unless you had a mod for that... So basically it is exactly how it has been copied to palworld. Same thing with foundation reach. Palworld is still missing pillars tho, hopefully get to see them one day as well.
@@1110jesse in ark you pillared off a ceiling or foundation or connected the points with stairs to continue the foundation support . Pillars and snapping to the bottom of stairs is all this game needs
@@HandsOfSt0ned Yeah something like that would be enough to fix the building. I can't remember exactly how ark vanilla was with building, as I used S+ for years.
You can get "closer" if you glitch through the mountain and build inside. Get really close to the side of the mountain and throw a flying mount into the wall, press ride, profit
I wasn't sure if this video was just going to be another simple "foundations are support" video or if you'd go more advanced, and teach some tricks I could use to make a bridge across a decent gap between two plateau bases. I was quite pleased to see you doing just that, building across a canyon! I will be surveying my build location very carefully, to find the best place for a solid foundation... literally.
A good trick to use (if you cant get foundations in straight line) is to place 1 wall high at edge of foundation. Then build 2 stairs down. Then you try to make a new foundation under those stairs as close as possible. If you line it as best as you can, you can still make it took like its totaly in line with the line (you will have a small gap that your pals can pass no problem). However you can also make it that way that it looks damaged by earthquake :P
@@priqe Maybe on some online only server. Problem is when you angle something and try to make a line next to angeled foundation you will hit other side and cause building issues. @@confounded_feline damn I appreciate that a lot, seriously! @priqe hahah wow ironic isn't it. But yeah... thats the esoteric youtube algorithm for ya! But yeah man! Go for it if you enjoy it. I'll be here watching 👀 😁
problem is never building the bridge its laying the foundations. many times there is no ground to put the middle foundations on which is why you want to build the bridge in the first place. sometimes there is ground but one end is much higher than the other and requires you to place foundations to meet in the middle so that you can extend the height of one of the sides.
know what would be nice? If you could build a foundation over any valid surface connected to any other building piece you are currently working with. Like building a foundation off of a roof that is just barely sticking off a cliff face but is close enough a foundation could be seated.
The what foundation to break part I will disagree on, keeping only the middle one would most likely be the best in that case, since you can build walls on all the platform with that, but not with 1,2,3,4 broken
I agree, it would definitely be best and would enable a lot more with the structure! This was just a visual tool to put emphasis on how it actually works for the people who might not understand, since you would need connecting walls to keep the middle foundation
yeah absolutely, height wont matter regardless and distance will only matter if you do not have foundation at the bottom level underneath, if you do you can build the bridge for as long as you are able to build connected foundations!
Nice can you make a video on how to make bridge over water body i cant join the both side they are uneven and leaving gaps, My location is the earliest palbox near the waterfall the river flowing
yea I got u, that was something I was actually working on a while ago, u can pretty much build a full actual connected bridge across any body of water that can be fully built around, if u understand what Im trying to say lol bit confusing thru text so yea Ill make an update to this vid for sure, thanks!!!
@@priqe the main problem is you can't build foundation on water, and when build foundation on edge of land near river you can only join two blocks of rock to foundation block after that it says structure unstable 😅
for sure! I figured out a little “work around” (pun) and you can actually build real bridges up to 5 blocks long over water - all connected, no gaps, uneven floors, etc.
Number 1 problem no clipping and everything is square but our base is a radius it is all a mess.No matter what anyone says the pathing is messed up I had my pals not going to stations with ceilings two high. IDK when the game was released but it has been at least 7 months and nothing done to the building tiles or lack of architecture instead they made a new zone that just rehashed all the same assets reskinned. Another thing I would like to see is the ability to randomize the worlds if the puny team in Valheim can do it anyone can.Bottom line building is not fun at all I have never been happy with any base.
I just wish one day we can snap foundations on top of each others, and to walls or ceilings.. so you can continue building the support structures on different elevations.
yeah that would be cool, or at least some other way to add support, maybe some kind of scaffolding or something!
The entire game is a mash up and of other games systems they need to basically just copy arks building mechanics.

Build a bridge connecting all the islands. Then make a highway. :)

I just wish you could create foundations under water. That open up a whole new world of building in Palworld!
100%! I can kinda see how it might be a problem for raids and pal AI maybe? but we should definitely be able to build in shallow water 😂
There's ways to glitch through the water with Elkydeer and build under water
Solid explanation.

I know you died at 7:08 you were in build mode😭
maybe, maybe not 😂🤫🤫🤫
Nice video... Thanks..🎉
and thank you!
Saw a vid of a guy building a giant helicarrier base
oh thats sick!
If the structure is not in your base ,it will deteriorate? Meaning eventually will break down?
You can turn that off in the world settings- change structure deterioration to 0 and it will stay up!
Can you connect two bases built like a skyscraper if placed side by side with a bride like this one ?
yeah absolutely, height wont matter regardless and distance will only matter if you do not have foundation at the bottom level underneath, if you do you can build the bridge for as long as you are able to build connected foundations!

Building in Palworld is like playing Dark Souls on hard mode. I think that I will just stick to boring boxes on flat land.🤣🤣😪
nothin wrong with that, we love efficiency 😂 my farming base is entirely flat too haha
