I actually went to Sally’s yesterday. …for shampoo, conditioner, hair spray, styling tools, and fun hair accessories for my five year old! 😂 We watch your channel all the time and when we saw the tub of quick blue, my daughter said, “Look mom! It’s quick death!” 🤣😂🤣
Love that! I was at Sally’s once just poking around and saw a young girl looking at Quick Blue and I told her not to buy it. She asked why and I told her to go home and watch Hair Buddha on RUclips and you’ll get your answer. I think she took my advice because I saw her leave and she did not have it with her, lol!
That was my first thought when I started watching.... well, when she started with the chopstick for highlights. Oh, this is a TUTORIAL!!! Seriously, no! God, no...
I see people in the comments talking about Schwarzkopf's BlondMe, and yes it's great, but PLEASE try it with 10 volume next time you bleach your roots or try to lighten banded areas. It will work slower, allowing you time to reach all sections of your hair, and it will cause far less damage because you won't be over processing already bleached parts as easily. Use small and thin brushes for these types of corrections, to avoid accidental spotting. I am not a stylist, but this is how I keep my hair color looking even and healthy, and my natural color is literally black, so no excuses! PS: Don't forget about your bestie Olaplex. Good luck to everyone!
There's a Sally's hair supply about 15mins from my house. I will have to go there just to see what products they recommend to go platinum blonde. I will die laughing if I get quick blue, t18 and purple shampoo - with coconut oil on the side 🤣😬😂 I'll have to take a picture and give an update on my visit
@@antzieisme I was offered quick blue and purple shampoo as a toner. And they recommended coconut or argan oil before bleaching. I guess it's good they didn't offer wella t18 LOL🤣
I cannot help but burst out 🤣 when I see your instant seizure at the first sight of Quick Blue🤪 I love the knowledge and advise you provide and also your humour 😄
Just last week I used your advice to take my hair from a darker auburn to a light copper brown. It was supposed to be dark strawberry blonde, but it's beautiful and I'm ok with it. I did a 20 vol bleach wash on my ends, to the light red stage, followed a while later by my roots. Of course the roots were still too light. They skipped the red stage and went straight to golden blonde. So I did a color deposit on just the roots then did the color over everything. It looks great. Thank you for giving your advice for free on all your videos!
I've always been very happy with my stylist, but after watching those hair fails and listening to Hair Buddha's comments, I have an even bigger regard for Daniel who really knows what he is doing. That includes saying no to some of my requests. I wasn't happy about that, but listening to Hair Buddha, I now know he was right and my ideas would not have ended well.
I'm so lucky my Sister is a hair professional. Jeez. I've been every color under the sun. And my hair was never ruined. His expressions are wonderful 🤣
Thank you so much for helping me see the beauty of my natural color dark blonde /brown. For years ppl call it dishwater or mousy brown but it really is beautiful and it is growing so shiny and healthy. It also suits my coloring better. Thank you hair Buddha
I have a similar hair color but mine is going grey as well, so it's a very blah shade. I didn't like it so I started coloring it again, but then my son said something that actually made me feel better about my natural hair color. He said it looks like "smoky quartz".
My hair is virgin again at 45. I call the color heavy metal bc it's golden blonde, copper and silver. I freaking love it!!! Hoping to be mostly silver as time goes on.... My dad and Aunt have white hair. I'll take that, too, if it happens, but I'd love for silver in my future!!! So, gold, copper and silver, heavy metals!
I went from middle brown to a nice goldblond in two sessions with my hairdresser. I love the color and I know that a platinum blonde would not suit me. As a child I was goldblond, so this is a blonde that is perfect for me I think. Yes, it is kinda "brassy" sometimes (on day two or three the roots are darker) so I use a toning rinse every other month 🤭
I have to say I have achieved PLATINUM hair! With very minimal damage, only a few split ends. Dark brown to Platinum by using… BLONDE ME and 20 developer. Thank you Hair Buddha!
I bleach and dye my husband's hair, but it's literally a couple millimeters to 1.5inches long. It comes out great but if I ever mess it up he can buzz it off. 😄
At the beginning of my journey....i too wanted platinum pixie then when they achieved it, i realized it wasnt AT ALL good for my skin tone. Now i have a medium to dark blonde with lighter on ends and it really is the tone for me. I was naturally dark ash brown but after my graves disease diagnosis my hair color changed to a light ash brown which works great growing in. Thank you thyroid for this one single thing u did good lolll
Yeah I went to completely white hair once because I loved the way it looked seeing it when it became really popular but when I did it on me I realized it didn’t look good for me! I went through all of that effort and wound up hating it lol. I feel more better with red tones in my hair or golden tones. Or purple looked good too. 😊
Thank you HB for your informative advice and actually making people think very carefully before bleaching their hair. I think most people change their minds after watching your videos and leave it to the professionals to have it done 👍
I went to her channel after the first reaction video. There are 4 parts. It’s from two years ago so you have to scroll a bit. She kept this color for a really long time too!
Thank you!!! Not all of us want to be platinum!! Nothing against it, it’s beautiful. ❤ But, so are golden-warmer blondes. 💗 I’m not in my 20’s anymore, but good luck finding a video on “old school” blonde
I love a good strawberry blond.. I go for colder shades. I think colder shades goes better with my skin & eyecolour, so thats why.. but i dont do platinum blonde.. waay to timeconsuming to mantain.. i have dark blonde hair naturally..
love the videos excellent information and please don't listen to the people that tell you to talk less, the talking is why i watch. Love the quick blue reaction
Poor one! I had to laugh out loud when I saw you suffering in cramps because of the quick blue! And I loved the expression on your face when she used coconut oil on top. Dear greetings
Well surprise surprise...a first where they didn't use the "Purple Shampoo" afterwards as a miracle cure to fix "all" issues with their hair!!! I enjoyed watching this, like all your videos. They're entertaining and educational. I enjoy watching a seeing watch ideas (usually wrong ones) people have about doing their hair at home by themselves. Thank you for doing what you do, Hair Buddha!!!🥰💖
I have waist length thick virgin hair, never colored or permed, and I was thinking about bleaching it, but now I'm not sure. I definitely wouldn't use Quick Blue or any developer over 20 volume or use T18, but I'm just not sure about it, maybe I'll just cut it instead, I can't do anything with it as long and thick as it is and I want a change ( O, and I have a little natural gray hair since I'm an older person ). My natural hair color is medium auburn/copper looking hair.
I was bleaching some regrowth this morning and all I could hear in my head was; “fine sections, fine sections!” (And no, I did not use quick blue…) It turned out great.
The struggle is real 😂very difficult wow yes .. not to start in the front… I learned the hard way in the past starting in the front.. that is a big no no .. difficult to do the back.. so true!!!!
After the quickblue reveal.. its like your eyes just glazed over. Lol i have to commend your commitment to watching these soul damaging videos with us!
People's natural hair texture is sooo IN right now, right? I really wish getting back to their natural color would come in style!!! I think it's coming. People are really into "healthy" hair right now, so hopefully more people will realize that their normal texture and color hair is beautiful!!!
I wanted to go platinum blonde & it looked really nice I'm blonde nautally but I guess I used purple shampoo too much and one day a few days later my hair like melted off it was horrific lol so i haven't dyed it in the last 4 years & I really like my natural hair now, it also went really curly after it was fried really weird 😹
I don't like platinum blonde hair. I stick with dark blonde to medium brown, boring maybe but I like it and my hair is not damaged. The summer sun will lighten it a little. 😊
Hair Buddah 3 fav coconut oil , quick blue ,and 30 VOL as a hairdresser myself I use the easy weave combs a game changer if your a slow foiler ,and I have never used quick blue
We have a 13-year-old daughter... her hair is down to her thighs 😍! She has natural highlights (virgin hair) with a base of med blond with light blond and strawberry blond natural highlights. It's BEAUTIFUL! I have taught her proper hair care her ENTIRE life. (It's her own choice to grow out her hair, btw) But most of all, i have taught her that dying her hair WILL ALWAYS have long-term consequences! I have taught her about clip ins, about permanent color, semi permanent, bleaching and toner! I have taught her that once dyed, she can't just remove the color to get her natural hair back! My husband, her father, has always joined me in praising her natural beauty! ❤ She also has our support (she's fully aware of) that IF she wants to dye or cut her hair, she is allowed to do so, BUT we have the rule that she must discuss it with us first, to make sure she will get it done at a good salon! I have WAY higher standards for my daughters hair, then my own, lol.
always enjoyable videos. You really are one of the best channels on RUclips. The fact that you advise and teach as well makes it much more interesting. Sending hugs to you and yo,ur lovely family from Scotland xxx.
Thankyou for another awesome video I love to discuss all my new knowledge with my hairdresser she is always happy to talk about colouring my hair but I have not done so yet maybe next year but because I have alot of natural red pigments we are going to have my hair lightened but more of a rose gold then a white blonde to start with then I can go lighter if I like because the goal is to eventually have my grey hair blend into my hair and with a rose gold tinted conditioner this should help keep those greys slightly tinted and blended I love my grey streaks but they definitely do age me a little so would be nice to cover them up with some Nice rose gold tints ☺️ sending you and your family love and light 💖 always
I am looking at this girl's RUclips and the blonde looks really good on her. She dyes it like a lilac later on with a shadow root that also looks good. This is just from peeping her page and insta. I don't even hate this golden color.
same- my hair is about a level 6 but very fine...I had professionals bleache it to white on accident (that was at a time before it was trendy) so I always give a warning that my natural hair lifts fast, so they only apply the toner on the regrowth for a few minutes to blend it with the length.
I use Knight & Wilson box Pearl Blonde hair dye. But I am already a light brown so it lightens just fine and I feel better knowing it has the Pureplex (like Olaplex) in it. Box dyes are ok for lightening if you have the right natural base. And I have BlondeMe 20% developer should I ever need to bleach.
There's still one other thing missing from this video....we've now got the T18 with all the other cohorts ...BUT...we're missing the "Purple Shampoo"!!! It could still make an appearance after the T18....we'll see!
Most fascinating thing about platinum blonde is that when it's born naturally from our follicles as we age, everyone panics and dyes it anything but platinum.😂
I have been to Sally's a couple of times, but only once for myself, i took one look at the amount of stuff and thought, no thank you, I didn't trust myself with that much choice, the other time was with a friend. I did pick up Directions a semi permanent conditioning hair colour, it was in an amazing sea green blue, I only applied it on tips and it was amazing, I do have salt and pepper hair tho so that helped, I would love to do all my hair but I am still sensitive on top of my head due to chemo which was about 2 years ago :(
I went to the hairdresser thursday to get my ends dyed.. and they added so much ash that it turned green. Thankfully it was at a good salon so they put more colour on it and now it looks good. But it was so hard to convince them to add warmth. In the end if they just did so from the start… they used 9.13 fist time and 8.25 second time.
I’m so glad you turned the client away from going platinum blonde. She would’ve ended up most likely bald or with a pixie cut. Since her hair was extremely damaged already. 😳
I bought blond me from Schwarzkopf. I've done 2 rounds now. One with 20 volumes, the second with 30 volumes and I think third will be with 20 again. But I have like 4 days in between. So far so good. Hair feels great and so far it's pretty even.
I did silver underlights on my 12yo daughter today. I'm a complete novice and they came out great. Granted, she's a natural level 7 with healthy virgin hair. I used Ion Bright White cream bleach, the matching developer in 30v. I used very thin slices and 1:2 ratio bleach to developer. 32 minutes of processing. Then I washed and dried it. I used a silver toner with 10v developer 1:1 for 20 minutes. It is almost platinum. No streaks or banding at all. I feel like having good help and following the directions makes a world of difference.
Love watching your videos, they are very entertaining and you learn a lot too, allthough I always go to my hairstylist for colouring and cutting. I was thinking the same, they must have a package deal at Sally’s with quick blue, 30/40 volumes devolper, T 18 and purple shampoo…because they all use the same products. And I do think I need a shirt or a mug with “ take smaller sections” 😹😹😹
I will never tire of his reaction to Quick Blue. It warms my heart.
Quick blue = Quick death 😂
Or coconut oil...or purple shampoo..or t 18..or fine sections lmfao 😂 🤣 💀
Every time I want to bleach my hair, I just have to watch one of these videos and it reminds me that I don’t actually want to fry my hair off 😂
😂
Lol, same. 😂
If you do it right, it won't fry your hair. None of the people in these videos do it right lol 🤣

Hahah youre reaction on Quick Blue is soo funny 🤣🤣
I have been to Sally's a couple of times, but only once for myself, i took one look at the amount of stuff and thought, no thank you, I didn't trust myself with that much choice, the other time was with a friend.
I did pick up Directions a semi permanent conditioning hair colour, it was in an amazing sea green blue, I only applied it on tips and it was amazing, I do have salt and pepper hair tho so that helped, I would love to do all my hair but I am still sensitive on top of my head due to chemo which was about 2 years ago :(
😂haha just came across this video.. loved loved your reaction when she present the bleach haha ❤
OMG! 😂I spat out my coffee when I seen your reaction to Kwik blue it was so funny love your videos
Sally’s quick blue t18 package hahaha magical product 🎉hahaha😂
I went to the hairdresser thursday to get my ends dyed.. and they added so much ash that it turned green. Thankfully it was at a good salon so they put more colour on it and now it looks good. But it was so hard to convince them to add warmth. In the end if they just did so from the start… they used 9.13 fist time and 8.25 second time.
I’m so glad you turned the client away from going platinum blonde. She would’ve ended up most likely bald or with a pixie cut. Since her hair was extremely damaged already. 😳
Well didn't Kim K have platinum hair? Because, as you know, most people cannot think for themselves and they gotta do what everyone else is doing.
So many never quit while they're ahead! 😊
I used a Box Dye on my hair many years ago, when the sun hit it, it was an unusual shade of Copper Green. 😳
