I do my own highlights at home and whenever I'm tempted to be lazy/sloppy and rush it I hear your voice in my head saying "no no NOOoOO!"... so thank you. :)
Hey! How long do you wait until you touch up your roots? Going to highlight my roots at home, have about 2cm regrowth so I'm not sure if I should wait. Would it be easier to highlight my roots now before they grown out too much?
@@marge6581 Good question, I have found if I leave regrowth any more than an inch I get an awful muddy stripe... I don't use bleach though, just high lift colour. When I was bleaching I could "cheat" hot roots a bit better but it fried the absolute shit out of my hair... so if you're following Hair Buddha's lower volume more treatment framework like I am I'd say do it sooner rather than later. :)
Yeah I don't think anything in L.A would have helped after seeing how she performed! I noticed that she had a scissors tattoo on the back of her neck. Is she a hair dresser? yeesh.
@@monicaavalos9312 Optimistically, maybe she is a hair cutting specialist. But even then she should know better than to try an advanced technique with bleach. Maybe those are embroidery scissors and she is badass embroiderer or seamstress.
When will this woman ever learn? Oh well, it made for an entertaining video I guess. I died when you said "leave it for...six months?". You're so funny, this channel is a treasure.
She does have some really cute wigs. It's a good thing she loves wearing them. I couldn't imagine the shape of her hair if not. Although she has done some crazy stuff to her real hair.
Thank you so much for your hilarious yet compassionate commentary. I really needed a good laugh today and when you remarked about leaving the purple conditioner in for six months, that was so brilliant! 🤣
😂😂 your facial expressions throughout this video were priceless Hair Buddha. I think you were in shock at some point too! You looked completely defeated by the end too 😢 great video as always x
The expression of intense suffering on Hair Buddha's face when watching coconut oil applied to the roots or the patchy application of bleach with the fingers is hilarious
Oh, my favorite videos are the hair falls. Thank you for brightening my day, Hair Buddha! I love, love your reactions and appreciate your expertise. 🌞❤️🌈
It'd have been soooo much easier if she had just done a shadow root using angled sections. I'd say she could have even lightened her roots up first and then toned them but she would've used coconut oil and still messed it up. When I decided to stop bleaching my hair I did a shadow root and then toned the bleached lengths a couple of shades lighter than my roots and it looked beautiful. It made my hair not look so crazy growing it out.
I feel your pain! Not a hairdresser, but forty some years of box dyes and many hours watching you and Brad, I get the mistakes!! I cringe!! Keep the faith!! Someday, some of these folks will actually learn from these videos!!
So wrong to make Hair Budda so upset that pressure points are necessary😔😄 I shared your videos with my stylist. She smiled and took me back to see the different levels of bleach and the wall of color products. It was impressive! What Hair stylist professionals do is definitely an art, but there is A LOT of chemistry going on there to! I for one am not trained or gifted to do what you do, but I am thankful that there are people who have trained and know how to make beautiful hair happen😊 Thank you Hair Budda for the info and the giggle.
I think she is trying a reverse balayage/highlight or something like that, maybe? She said she wanted it to look more highlighted. Her hair is solid blonde, so that would mean she wants lowlights and a root stretch. Look at me trying to sound professional, LMAO. Seems like she shouldn't even touch bleach in that case. Just highlighting the regrowth and leaving the solid blonde lengths will look frightful. But the reverse method would be complicated using at least two shades of color to blend together. But then there was that big orange band that needed to be addressed. How stressful! I will meditate with you."Woooo Sahhhh".
Omg as a hairdresser this gave me anxiety, she looks about a level 2/3 very dark, the weaving stitching pattern was so bad, patchy isn't the word, and when will people realise coconut oil conditioner masks all put up a barrier, and only mix 1 scoop of bleach at a time so it's strong enough to break down the underlying pigments, she got spots like a cheta this is now an expensive colour correction
Don't need to be a hairdresser for this to give you anxiety...you just to have half a brain and a pair of working eyes to realize all of the mistakes she's making
Thats a good title for her video! 'How to produce expensive colour corrections'🤭🤭🤭😄 sorry girl...if your eyes are really that blue...why the hell would you bleach anyways? Light eyes and dark hair will ALWAYS be sexy as hell
Why mix up the bleach BEFORE prepping her hair for colouring? By the time she'd finished faffing about undoing her plaits, brushing it through, sectioning it off and putting coconut oil on it, plain toilet bleach would have had more power by then! Time is of the essence lovey! I'm watching this like....😵 EDIT+++ *I just wanna give my roots some highlights so I can continue growing it out* 12:40 so you bleached your ROOTS you say??? 🤔 That must be a black hairband I'm looking at then, round the front...? 😂🤣😅 Am I the only one singing 🎵"in the jungle, the quiet jungle, the TIGER sleeps tonight....wahhhh OOOOOH ooooohhh wee umm bumba way"🎵😁😁😁
That was a couple of years ago. She actually had a recent video of her with longer hair again and she was getting it done at the salon. Her hair fail that she had was using a relaxer over bleached hair which caused all her hair to fall out 😳
I laughed so damn hard at that technique like I can't even. I do my own hair with no help mind you with Blondme and all professional products (not Sally's crap) and it turns out flawless! I take my time and do better than most stylists!
I dyed my hair for 30 years and I’ve had it every color. I stopped dying it 2 years ago and let it go grey and I love it. I enjoy watching your videos because I’ve had a lot of hair fails.
OMG this one was hilarious. The girl is so endearing to watch as well which makes it all the more cute. Hair Buddha I love your videos, I just recently found you and I’ve been going through and watching all these old ones. Thank you so much for the entertainmentand information, not that I’m going to do this❤
I'm also a hairdresser specialised in colouring techniques and I get sick in my tummy watching this lol 😆 I'm at 11 min right now and can't wait to see the disaster
I think she's in beauty school. When I was in beauty school 1 of my instructors bleached my hair with double 40 volume and then permed it! She made my hair fall out- so there's bad cosmetologist out there!
WHO in the HELL thinks that PATTING bleach onto your roots will somehow be a good way of applying bleach????? Like a 12 year old child would probably have more common sense. "Anything is better than it being black and then just blonde" well we all saw that wasn't true 🤣🤣🤣 you want complex root highlights, you go to a hairdresser
A hairdresser on RUclips gave good advise said to use conditioner on the parts that are already bleached so you don't over lap. I also think coconut oil is good for your hair but not while bleaching. You can do a coconut mask for a hour but not while bleaching..
I love the hair fails I learn a lot from them! Thanks So Much Hair Buddha!Best Wishes for 2023 To you and your Beautifull Family!Love from South Africa🎆🎇🎉🎊💛💚💙
Maybe she had a hairdresser in storage because otherwise, girl, there's wasn't a thing you had in storage that was gonna help. She's the girl who used a relaxer, left it in for hours and her hair fell out. That's why she kept saying that.
She didn’t leave the relaxer on for hours. She put relaxer on already bleached hair. So it all broke off literally so she had to shave her entire head. That was a few years ago.
I have a feeling that even if she had the "tools and equipment" needed, it still would have looked bad. You would know what you needed. My guess is that she had it professionally done prior and trying to visualize everything they used. You can"t do this by yourself. It was a trainwreck from the start. The foils were not done properly so the heat would have never been trapped. She missed a lot of the new growth that was to be bleached (coating it in oil didn't help). She has the "tiger stripes" because she didn't avoid the hair on the outer perimeter. AND, she did get the calico cat effect, so she can add another feline to the mistakes. Poor thing!! She is so pretty and very calm as well. She can find some interesting hairstyles and have fun with it until she can get it fixed. / Edit: She has a pair of scissors at the nape of her neck!!!!! Lol!!!!!!
Happy New Year Buddha and channel fam, not only do we learn we also have fun here. When they say coconut oil will be applied to the parts to be bleached I say uh oh 🤣 She would have been better off going to a salon for highlights

It does. Something has to help her out.
Agree, I like her make up but the amount she repeatedly destroys her hair is ridiculous.
Her eyebrows are a train wreck
I agree. Her eyes are absolutely stunning.

What did her items still being in LA have to do with her doing a "DIY" color to her hair. Did I miss something? She had products, just not technique

Morgan Freeman, narrating: "But it was NOT better."
Ohhh Hannah! I'm really surprised she is bleaching her hair again. She had to shave her head from melting her hair before.
😳
I knew her face looked familiar, she has some cute wigs!

She appearantly hasn't learnt from the experience when she fried her hair off and keeps on messing with it 😵💫
Nothing is worse than the relaxer incident 😬
She never learns, she's on FB and is ALWAYS messing around with her hair. When it goes wrong she moves to Wigs........

Wouldn't it have been better to spend money on root touch-ups? Oh, she wouldn't have content for her RUclips channel if she did that.
