I see people in the comments talking about Schwarzkopf's BlondMe, and yes it's great, but PLEASE try it with 10 volume next time you bleach your roots or try to lighten banded areas. It will work slower, allowing you time to reach all sections of your hair, and it will cause far less damage because you won't be over processing already bleached parts as easily. Use small and thin brushes for these types of corrections, to avoid accidental spotting. I am not a stylist, but this is how I keep my hair color looking even and healthy, and my natural color is literally black, so no excuses! PS: Don't forget about your bestie Olaplex. Good luck to everyone!

Just last week I used your advice to take my hair from a darker auburn to a light copper brown. It was supposed to be dark strawberry blonde, but it's beautiful and I'm ok with it. I did a 20 vol bleach wash on my ends, to the light red stage, followed a while later by my roots. Of course the roots were still too light. They skipped the red stage and went straight to golden blonde. So I did a color deposit on just the roots then did the color over everything. It looks great. Thank you for giving your advice for free on all your videos!

I went from middle brown to a nice goldblond in two sessions with my hairdresser. I love the color and I know that a platinum blonde would not suit me.
As a child I was goldblond, so this is a blonde that is perfect for me I think. Yes, it is kinda "brassy" sometimes (on day two or three the roots are darker) so I use a toning rinse every other month 🤭

We have a 13-year-old daughter... her hair is down to her thighs 😍! She has natural highlights (virgin hair) with a base of med blond with light blond and strawberry blond natural highlights. It's BEAUTIFUL! I have taught her proper hair care her ENTIRE life. (It's her own choice to grow out her hair, btw) But most of all, i have taught her that dying her hair WILL ALWAYS have long-term consequences! I have taught her about clip ins, about permanent color, semi permanent, bleaching and toner! I have taught her that once dyed, she can't just remove the color to get her natural hair back! My husband, her father, has always joined me in praising her natural beauty! ❤
She also has our support (she's fully aware of) that IF she wants to dye or cut her hair, she is allowed to do so, BUT we have the rule that she must discuss it with us first, to make sure she will get it done at a good salon! I have WAY higher standards for my daughters hair, then my own, lol.

I used Ion Bright White cream bleach, the matching developer in 30v. I used very thin slices and 1:2 ratio bleach to developer. 32 minutes of processing. Then I washed and dried it. I used a silver toner with 10v developer 1:1 for 20 minutes. It is almost platinum. No streaks or banding at all. I feel like having good help and following the directions makes a world of difference.

There's still one other thing missing from this video....we've now got the T18 with all the other cohorts ...BUT...we're missing the "Purple Shampoo"!!!
It could still make an appearance after the T18....we'll see!

I am looking at this girl's RUclips and the blonde looks really good on her. She dyes it like a lilac later on with a shadow root that also looks good. This is just from peeping her page and insta. I don't even hate this golden color.

I’m platinum but I wear a buzzcut so my hair is never damaged. And I’m 80% gray.
What I don’t get is WHY are they buying quick blue? Sally’s sells everything. I have to shop at Sally’s because most beauty supply store will only sell to licensed stylists. I’m a Ion crème lightener user for life. Never burns my scalp.

I bought blond me from Schwarzkopf. I've done 2 rounds now. One with 20 volumes, the second with 30 volumes and I think third will be with 20 again. But I have like 4 days in between. So far so good. Hair feels great and so far it's pretty even.

Why does everyone want blonde hair? I have naturally blonde hair. It's a pain in the .. everything leaves stains on it. Hard water, swimming pools, the wrong shampoo, a cheap hat, etc. Upkeep on blonde hair isn't easy. In my younger years I dyed it darker just to make it easier. My suggestion is, enjoy the hair that grows out of your head.

I’m so glad you turned the client away from going platinum blonde. She would’ve ended up most likely bald or with a pixie cut. Since her hair was extremely damaged already. 😳

Whyyyy would anyone want a bluish hue to be in a powder lightener?? YOU CANNOT SEE THE COLOR OF YOUR HAIR with a baby blue mixture on top of it!! Even some hairdressers use this BS! it’s literally the reason I started bleaching my own regrowth. A licensed hairdresser used quick blue on me because, according to them, “it tones while it bleaches”. It does NOT 😂 L’Oreal really needs to stop making this product. I’m convinced that they must really enjoy trolling their customers. I’m sure that their stocks do not depend on Quick Blue 😫

I have been to Sally's a couple of times, but only once for myself, i took one look at the amount of stuff and thought, no thank you, I didn't trust myself with that much choice, the other time was with a friend.
I did pick up Directions a semi permanent conditioning hair colour, it was in an amazing sea green blue, I only applied it on tips and it was amazing, I do have salt and pepper hair tho so that helped, I would love to do all my hair but I am still sensitive on top of my head due to chemo which was about 2 years ago :(

I use Knight & Wilson box Pearl Blonde hair dye. But I am already a light brown so it lightens just fine and I feel better knowing it has the Pureplex (like Olaplex) in it. Box dyes are ok for lightening if you have the right natural base. And I have BlondeMe 20% developer should I ever need to bleach.

I know you said "Her husband came in my salon" but this is my first time watching you so your accent is still new to me. I thought you said "Her husband came in my salad" at first and I had to replay it to make sure that wasn't what you said.
I'm glad no one came in your salad

Said it once, will say it again - Ibused to die my mid-blond hair dark brown, when I decided to go back to blond I did it In steps and I was various shades of orange for almost two months. Because I was making breaks, using treatments In between, and In the end Ibwas blond with minimal damage. And it wasn't platinium, because that's Just not practical In the long run.

Why always platinum? Because of two reasons- it’s en vogue again, and people often don’t realize that there is no one blonde color. I roll my eyes at people saying “I have brown hair” when it’s really just dark ash blonde.

I have a grey streak on the top of my head since I was 12, for work I couldn't leave it like that and dyed my hair dark brown for many, many years. Five years ago I decided I wanted a redish blonde, a light ginger, something on that realm. My hair is fine but I have a lot of hair, a lot. I bought enough products for 4 sessions, 20 volumes cause I was scared I'd be bald after that. I bleached my hair 3 times. I bleached once, waited one week, did it again. Did all the treatments to hidrate the crap out of my hair. Waited 2 weeks to do the third time and was glad with the base. Waited one more week, did the roots and then I put the color I wanted. Since then I had to take a break to treat a cancer 2 years ago and now I continue to dye it red, more a copper blonde but I don't bleach it anymore. Too much work.

I went to the hairdresser thursday to get my ends dyed.. and they added so much ash that it turned green. Thankfully it was at a good salon so they put more colour on it and now it looks good. But it was so hard to convince them to add warmth. In the end if they just did so from the start… they used 9.13 fist time and 8.25 second time.

Sally's also have ion oil bleach which usez 3% or 10 volume developer and works wonders! It's really gentle and lifts fast. I think it's the gentlest bleach. However, I only tried it on one strand of hair because I wasn't sure I wished to go that blonde, and I'm happy I didn't. I changed my blonde color to copper and can't be happier. If I ever go blonde again, it will be a nice honey blonde, something natural and easy to maintain. I don't understand this obsession with platinum and white hair.
