    All power and passenger cars are MTH Premier.
    The F3's are older MTH models upgraded with new electronics. The new electronics are provided by "SoundTraxx" using their Blunami hardware. Additional information is in the video.

    Awesome! I’d almost say Blunami is sacrilegious, but I’ve been seeing more and more engines with the upgrade. Very cool, Donald. Hope you are well.

      Thank you very much Jason. I am hanging in there, good days mostly! For me, a PS1 locomotive is a shelf piece. You can do other upgrades but I feel Blunami is the best choice. Thanks for your comment. Hope all is well with you too!

      @@josephphillips9692 Hey Joe. I agree. A Blunami conversion is by far the best way to rejuvenate old PS1 locomotives. My F3 is 30 years old and runs like new. I am impressed.

    So cool, Don! That is one gorgeous passenger train, for sure. I really love passenger trains and enjoy running them on my layout. Blunami is interesting. As you know, I'm a post-war, conventional guy, but if I ever get some older Command Control units, it might be a good option. If I change my yard around for switching, instead of just storage, it would probably be the direction that I would go. I took time off during the holidays, so I could be out East with my family and friends, but now I'm getting back to the layout. An excellent video, as always.

      Thank you John. Yes, Blumani is an excellent choice for dead MTH locomotives with PS1 QSI systems. They run great, the control is better than Legacy!

    Great pull away shots! It really helps to put in to perspective the size and scope of your layout. The still shots from your articles don’t do it justice. Great content

    That’s really cool. So you can run both powered a units off one decoder?

    • @DonaldKeiser1981
      @DonaldKeiser1981  26 дней назад +1

      Short answer. NO. You need one decoder per powered unit. I was going to do both powered locomotives but found 1 is more than sufficient to pull all 10 cars. I removed the PS1 guts in the 2nd one and now it is a roller. I can power it in the future. With the tether between the ABA intact, I can control the headlights in the rear unit. Hope that helps.
