@@littleguystar Choosing shield gives 2 extra item slots, and sword will give 1 extra compared to choosing the staff (all eventually through levels) Staff eventually gives +2 MP though compared to the others (+1 initial, and then another exclusive one on levels instead of an item slot), which outweighs the item slots IMO

@@littleguystar Yeah, Sword in KH 1 is generally the worst choice You get some combo modifiers early, but you don't get defensive abilities early like with Shield, and you don't get the crazy MP boost like with Staff (which conveniently gets Hurricane Blast the earliest out of all three choices)
In my opinion, I think Sephiroth is the toughest, because he swings his sword to quick and I died in 2 slashes. As for Xemnas, I was at half pink and half orange. The only thing that stopped me was the Shock/Reverse move thing.

This boss handed my ass to me when I fought him on proud mode for the very first time, this guy does a decent job on beating him. That one attack where he catches you and you have to hit a random command can ruin the whole battle fast though.
The Final Mix versions are basically the same thing, but with a little bit extra canon content. Stuff like this, relating to either Xemnas or the Mysterious Figure(It's Xemnas, but one could argue the other point convincingly). It's important stuff if you're really into digging up the plot and figuring out all the tidbits and such.

I would say this is the harder of ALL the secret bosses of kingdom hearts. And if you dear to say that Unkwon, more recognize as Mysterious Figure, I need to say that he is actually easy in the game context, because in BBS there is an attack that if you do it properly you can do a -1HP bar and you know it.
When I first saw this video in 2011 i legit thought that this was a rare boss you get if you were lucky. It wasn't until I watched this video a 3rd time that I realized that this was a Japanese special copy.
Xemnas confronted Sora to test him, after he had defeated Ansem. This fight/scene takes place in Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix. Its a japanese version of the game that has more cutscenes, quests, keyblades and (as evidenced here) fights than the American version.

When he says "You look like him" That's the Xehanort part of Xemnas (Xehanort/Terra) talking about Sora looking like Vanitas. Vanitas looks like Sora but has Black hair and yellow eyes. Sora is an incomplete remnant of Vanitas, maybe because Ventus and Vanitas are connected or have been connected in that last fight someone.. and when Ventus passed on his power to Sora as a child, Sora may have picked up a Vanitas trait.
Why are all these noobs commenting on this video from 2006??? Look folks, That was Xemnas fighting Sora to obtain information to create a replica. Xemnas wants to get Kingdom Hearts to get a body. To get Kingdom Hearts, you need hearts. To get hearts, you need a keyblade. As a Nobody, Xemnas can't have a keyblade. So he used Roxas and created Xion, who was the replica Xemnas created from the data he got from this battle. The Mysterious Figure in BBS is different than this guy.

i agree with you on the difficulty level. even on proud mode the normal kh2 wasn't very challenging. if there will be a kh3, i hope they'll deal with the difficulty levels just like in the final mix of kh 2 (standard and proud mode are MUCH more difficult in the final mix than they were in the normal game - not to mention the critical mode).

@Kirblord23 Actually if you pay attention to the story of KN II, Xehanort was performing experiments with some of the pre-organisation members before they lost their hearts. Ansem the Wise thought it was too dangerous and cancelled the experiments. But Xehanort continued against Ansems orders, and an explosion occured which made Xehanort and the pre-organisation members involved lose their hearts. The heartless of Xehanort became Ansem and the nobody of Xehanort became Xemnas.
No, its based on an final fantasy char called gilgamesh, a 6 armed sword seeking swordmaster. And here he fights faster and you can not smash him away with an normal attack.

I finally beat Xemnas today. He was hard at lower levels, but I grinded up to level 100, got the One Winged Angel, equipped both Critical Boosts, and wham, he died somewhat fast. Still fun though, so I soft resetted so that I can fight him again anytime that I want.

Terra lost his memory when he was taken over by Master Xehanort but remembered his face, he is refereeing to Ven back to before Roxas was involved in the picture. Those in the organization who knew Master Xehanort also refer to Roxas as looking like Ven in 365/2 days
Actually that event has already happened. After sealing the Final keyhole the princesses tell you that an enormous dark power looms in the dark hole that has appeared in Castle Chapel. You go through the hole, you find Xemnas, you quite likely get killed. Notice the One Winged Angel keyblade, you get it from Sephiroth, but you can fight him only after turning into a Heartless and fleeing from the Hollow Bastion for the first time.
What that is suppose to mean is that Roxas was born the moment Sora became a heartless so Roxas and Sora coexisted but were incomplete without each other. Also Ven`s heart which was dormant within Sora transferred into Roxas.
Actually, it's the same deal. Point in question is Kingdom Hearts was an amazing technical achievement, with a balanced gameplay and very RPG-esque action, while Kingdom Hearts 2 flushed that down the toilet, making the triangle button what the circle button is for the God of War series

But Yen Sid in KH II says that the organisation is made of powerful nobodies that remember what it feels like to have a heart and remember their past lives when they have one. He might not say EXACLY that, but that was the point he was trying to make.

Which is Xehanort. He remembered his life before. And wanted to unlock the secrets of the heart. Thats why Xehanort became a scientist.

I don't have final mix, but I'd recommend fighting the Ice Titan until you are lv 100 if you can't beat him. It might be a cheap strategy, but you can go to any of the four corners of the arena and just block-spam his icicles back at him. Couple things to remember though, don't move around when he does the icicles that come from the ground, you'll only get hit by a couple. Also don't use any aero magic, he makes super unblockable icicles then (also have lots of mp rage)
He's just another freaking Emperor clone xD But honestly, I find that in fights like these, where the bosses almost instantly KO Donald and Goofy all the time, it's a lot like you're fighting him all alone. Honestly, what are those two good for if they always die -_-
Depends, the original Final Mix only came out in Japan, and it came out back in 2002, the new Final Mix for Kingdom Hearts II, came out in Japan recently, and they're still deciding if it should come to the States, and Europe, sometime this month most likely they will make an announcement

@deathbybees but you forget Xemnas was once Terra who knew Ventus. Terra lost his memory when he was taken over by Master Xehanort but remembered his face, he is refereeing to Ven back to before Roxas was involved in the picture. Those in the organization who knew Master Xehanort also refer to Roxas as looking like Ven in 365/2 days

Actually that event has already happened.
After sealing the Final keyhole the princesses tell you that an enormous dark power looms in the dark hole that has appeared in Castle Chapel. You go through the hole, you find Xemnas, you quite likely get killed.
Notice the One Winged Angel keyblade, you get it from Sephiroth, but you can fight him only after turning into a Heartless and fleeing from the Hollow Bastion for the first time.
I've always loved this video. Miracles are all over this fight.
What that is suppose to mean is that Roxas was born the moment Sora became a heartless so Roxas and Sora coexisted but were incomplete without each other.
Also Ven`s heart which was dormant within Sora transferred into Roxas.
Actually, it's the same deal. Point in question is Kingdom Hearts was an amazing technical achievement, with a balanced gameplay and very RPG-esque action, while Kingdom Hearts 2 flushed that down the toilet, making the triangle button what the circle button is for the God of War series
Kingdom hearts Collection should have all the 3D KH in chronological order!

@LionofDawn I apologise if i sound arrogant. I did not intend to sound as such. I know he doesnt mention any of the things that happened when he was a keyblade wielder. But Yen Sid in KH II says that the organisation is made of powerful nobodies that remember what it feels like to have a heart and remember their past lives when they have one. He might not say EXACLY that, but that was the point he was trying to make.
when he says "you look like him too" to sora, i bet he's talking about venitas
she is actually a clone of the real sora whom she gained the form of kairi from his strongest memory and Xemnas created her after the little encounter which you're all watching because he gathered the data from the fight
the character that sora is fighting is xemnas. i reconized the clothes, fighting style, and background music from him in KH2.
@LionofDawn Nobodies remember what its like to have a heart. Thus they must have memories of their lives before becoming nobodies. Also, Xehanort experimented with the ways of the heart to further his knowledge. Thats what scientists do. Also, Xemnas clearly says that he remembers his old name that he abandoned. Which is Xehanort. He remembered his life before. And wanted to unlock the secrets of the heart. Thats why Xehanort became a scientist.
if i didnt know any better, i would have guessed he would have said "I am.........YOUR FATHER!" at the end, with the star wars references, like the lightning and the lightsabers.
The fight with the Lingering Sentiment (which we pretty much KNOW it's Terra) is considered non-canon, so don't jump to conclusions just yet.
@ShyGuyJet After, that's when Roxas was born and Xemnas wanted to test Sora to see his Nobody's potential.
Instead of saying "I am a mere shell" he shudda said "I am nothing." It would sound cooler and still fits the descrption of a Nobody.

I swear that Desperation Move Xemnas uses with the orb and the laser beams flying everywhere looks slightly similar to his "All-Vanity" Limit Break on 358/2.

@peepeevagi its Xemnas, but i guess you haven't played KH2 since you don't recognize the red lightsabers and generally all the xemnas exclusive abilities he is using like the shield wall.

@Awesomeness1I He didn't travel back in time. Since Xehanort's heartless exists on kh1, Xemnas did,too. He came to see Sora after recruiting Roxas. He wanted to see how powerful he was.

I don't have final mix, but I'd recommend fighting the Ice Titan until you are lv 100 if you can't beat him. It might be a cheap strategy, but you can go to any of the four corners of the arena and just block-spam his icicles back at him. Couple things to remember though, don't move around when he does the icicles that come from the ground, you'll only get hit by a couple. Also don't use any aero magic, he makes super unblockable icicles then (also have lots of mp rage)

But honestly, I find that in fights like these, where the bosses almost instantly KO Donald and Goofy all the time, it's a lot like you're fighting him all alone. Honestly, what are those two good for if they always die -_-

Depends, the original Final Mix only came out in Japan, and it came out back in 2002, the new Final Mix for Kingdom Hearts II, came out in Japan recently, and they're still deciding if it should come to the States, and Europe, sometime this month most likely they will make an announcement
@SeanK1212 I don't know, but wouldn't it be difficult just to FIND that option with japanese screens? :P
