Hi Natenda loved your vlog SP Day all made sense Thank-you well explained I loved your meals looked delicious. Well Done your my inspiration 👍 😀 Sue Meekums x
You are so so right. I agree on reducing carbs by cutting out bananas, mangos etc but to then allow chocolate and crisps doesn't make sense to me. Surely a banana would be better than crisps, biscuit and chocolate which are high in carbs and nutritionally of no benefit. I love SW but I like to question things 🤣🙈.
@@marvellousencouragement you are right they are, but they still allow you some syns so you don't feel totally deprived, and thus help with your cravings xx
@@annsmith2992 so true, if they didn't allow syns, it wouldn't be sustainable. I am still enjoying SP meals and think I will carry on until miss carbs.
I was size 22 in my before and size 14 in my after. Currently I am a 16 due to recent weight gain but I am working to lose it...so hard but will keep trying x
Thank you for explanning it for me ,I've had one or 2 sp days but struggle abit.I hope you have a great week. You would make a very good consultant . X.
You are welcome. I think SP days are great but a little common sense goes a long way...surely a banana is a better option than chocolate and crisps. Thanks for the compliment. Maybe someday I will become a consultant
If I want a banana on an SP day, I just syn it, using the 20 cals=1 syn calculation. A big banana is about 100 cals, I think, so that would be 5 syns. And I do that with other Free foods, too. I don't bother counting Frylight, though perhaps I should.
Hi Tatenda, I loved this video, the way you went into detail explaining the SP days. You’ve had a great 2 days and more no doubt. Is your weigh day tomorrow? Mine was yesterday, I lost half a pound, I’m fine with that and even though it’s takes me 4.5lbs under my target but I’m fine with that. Absolutely love your channel, stay safe and cool lovely xxx
You are amazing 👏🏾 ❤️. My weigh in day is today but I don't want to weigh in. I have been so disappointed lately and fear going through those awful emortions again. I hate scales at the minute so I decided to give myself a break from the anxiety and negative emotions
You are welcome. It's a great plan to get things moving but listen to your body too, when you start not to enjoy it go to the normal SW plan. All the best x x
Love your meals they look so yummy! I didn't actually try sp when I did slimming world. Your video explains it really well. It does seem made that you can't have a banana and it be sp. 😊
@@marvellousencouragement the spiralled butternut squash with the bacon and veg was my fave haven't thought to spiralise veg do you have a special tool for that? A medium size bananas is around 80 kcals and a large one around 100 kcals on the nutracheck. 🥰🥰🥰
I use a peeler. Will shot it in tonight's video for you. Thanks for the info on the banana. I suppose if I syn it it's a out 5 syns which would still be in my SP allowance 💃🏾
Hi - Is it ok to have 60-70% protien and fibre (e.g. lentils, chickpeas, chicken, eggs, etc.) and remaining 30% speed through fruits and vegetables on SP days? (No rice, pasta, bread or potatoes ofcourse)
If you go to the Gym or exercise a lot to build muscle then the protein 60-70% is ok but if not, stick to half protein half speed. Speed has less calories than protein so you want to make sure you get the balance right
I love bananas.. The button mushroom tastes good? I always see them in the shop. Am used to the long stem mushrooms 😆. I love your olive top my favorite color 😉.
I always assumed you could have what you wanted for your 10 syns on an SP day, only just realised that you cant having watched your vlog. It does seem daft that you can chocolate but not banana or mango etc for your 10 syns. Still, you live and learn. XX
I would have thought a banana would be a better choice than chocolate and crisps. I guess sometimes we just need to use our common sense. The plan is amazing but not 100% perfect I suppose.
It really is a daft rule because the rhubarb is still the same thing stewed or not and especially if you eat the same amount. Sounds like you are applying much needed common sense on this journey. SW is amazing but no plan is perfect that for sure. I have personalised my SP plan, banana is allowed and that's final🤣
Food optimising is 3 extra easy steps, 1 unlimited free food. 2 two hea, one heb. 3 5 - 15 syns a day or whatever your consultant advises. Extra easy SP is 1. Choose only foods with an S and P as you explained. 2. Two hea and one heb. 3. Only up to 10 syns as you said. I find it easier to do than extra easy sometimes, until I really really fancy some pasta 🍝 or potatoes 🥔. I agree with you over the banana and the chocolate doesn't always add up but it keeps it simple I guess. I'm like this with rhubarb, I don't want 500grms stewed as a heb, so I often syn it.
Well done. I completely get what your saying about the banana. In the past I’ve done similar had all day SP but for my evening meal I’ve had some free food like rice or pasta as it stopped me snacking later as I need to feel full and veg and meat didn’t do it for me that time.
It surely makes sense go eat a bit of rice than opt for chocolate. The plan has some major flaws. I guess some SP meals are good but some free good is ok if it stops us from reaching for junk food. Well, that's my opinion anyways x
I lost 4lbs. I enjoy SP, not just for weightloss but I felt so light, no bloating and felt really great seeing so much healthy foods in my plan. I will do it again soon
Hi you explained Sp days so well.I understand it much better now .
Good luck with your weight lose x

Well done and congrats on your weight loss, keep the meals coming ❤

Hi, an sp day is actually reducing your carbs, and a banana is a higher carb which is why they say no to bananas. x

Great video Tetenda thank you ❤️I've done sp days enjoyed doing them🥰
Hurray! Well done you. SP days make me feel so healthy. My downfall is the free banana I can't resist

Thank you for talking through the sp plan I need to try more days like this to kick start a bit more loss as it’s gone a bit stagnant lol 😆 xx

I love all types of mushrooms to be honest. Best to try a few and then pick but it good to try out new things
@@marvellousencouragement I'll try them too. But here these ones are so expensive. I'll try and look for them in the market.
If they are that expensive, I wouldn't bother tbh, they are not that flavoursome

I struggle to include a hexb unless I use it for cereals 😩
Good thing it's not a must. Just eat enough veggies to prevent constipation
Yep the banana thing sounds stupid same with Rhubarb. Meant to syn it if its stewed but I don't because its a daft rule

Now there is solid evidence. Well done you!
You explained the SP day well, except it is called SW SP day, their normal plan is the Extra Easy Days otherwise you were spot on x
Thank you for the correction. Please confirm again, so the normal plan is the SW extra Easy plan and the more restricted plan is SW SP plan?

You still have an SP day, you just have to sin the banana 👍
Thank you. I wasn't sure how to syn a banana as its free on SW. So would I estimate the syns, if a banana is 100calories then it would be 5 syns?
