Can't believe no more praetorian?!... I dont have a full blown Ti, can't swing 2k for a knife but my praetorian T I bought from DLT 12 days of Xmas special a peaks and valleys magnacut tanto is my grail....my most expensive knife in the herd. I liked it so much a week later grabbed the DLT exclusive praetorian genesis in s90v !.....might need to grab a micro to complete the set now.....
I am sort of sad lol. Really love my praetorian T-been saving and looking for the Ti but thats one i can't just pull the trigger at that price. Do you think if i order one now in the mkt site itll still get made?
Ya because I ordered one that night and it went through. Then talked to Amy yesterday about a change I wanted done. I know a guy that has a pretty sweet like new one for sale for 1100 if you want me to put you in touch
@@ScotchNThings appreciate the info! the options left werent cutting it for me. guess itll be fun grail to ave/search for!! you should do a MKT only video soon
There’s likely a financial motivation- whether it’s built up inventory (he alluded to overproducing with the production manager) or they take too much machine time. Or could be a slight rebranding. Who knows.
It makes sense greg wants to freshen up the line, but also they may be seeing a slow down in dealer orders e.g the $$$$ of medfords dlt trading has sitting in stock is insane!
I have an ongoing mini-argument going with Greg (100% respectful) but I don’t own knives, guns or watches that are discontinued - it’s just me. I commented on Greg’s video that I ordered a Praetorian Ti from the new website with the Dominance coin - over $1,300 as a retirement gift to me and am anxiously awaiting it but now I have no interest in owning and no connection to a discontinued model - something that was seriously exciting was crushed in his whim to cancel an icon (he’s the boss and I respect that) but now I am out over $1,330 for something I have no connection to and don’t want. He told me to stop whining. In any event, my other favorite knife the Midi Marauder was cancelled so now I am effectively not a customer. I didn’t appreciate his joke - this is serious money.
Ya I really don’t understand why they sunset stuff only for the reason would be slow sales on those models. But with a flagship knife like the praetorian ti it doesn’t make sense. If that’s the case he should do like strider does with his custom XL’s and just make a handful a year. I think he’s trying to make a buzz around the knife
Many guys and gals don’t mind, I don’t like the instability which is why I have always owned Chris Reeve “status she goes” and Microtech which is crushing it lately - I am adding their OTF’s to my collection at an alarming rate.
@@DavidV4444 ya Im a guy that if its not broke don’t fix it. It took me awhile to warm up to the 31 but now I love it. Not as much as the 21 but still love it. And I’m the same with Microtech I love that they’ve upped production
Not too sure why you're so upset about it. Those discontinued models have potential to become collectors items in the future. Why sit back and whine about it when you can capitalize off of Greg's stubbornness in the future?🤑🤑🤑
Agree 100% - Praetorian is the knife that comes to mind on Medford.
Ya I don’t like it but I get his reasoning for just to many of them out there sitting on shelves

Ya I’m still wondering why you’d kill the knife that made your name.
I’m guessing the aftermarket options for the P Scout show side is going to explode since that will be the only model available
It will be cool to see I just don’t see much out there for Medford

Totally agree with the fact this is so much not like Benchmade Axis lock. Crazy Medford news.
Ya I think if people think that they might stay away from them. And I really can’t understand taking away your flagship

Hope it’s not like new coke

Ya it a lot of stuff all combined together I think. But seems weird to kill off the flagship
