    It matters not how a person dies, be it in fire, sea, blown apart by a bomb, squashed by a massive rock, minced up by a harvester, buried in the ground, etc.. The physical body is of no consequence once a person dies as it turns to "dust" regardless. The soul is what really matters. At or after Jesus returns, all will be resurrected to receive new bodies to be judged regardless of how a person's dead body was handled. Those whose names are in the Book of Life will be judged to receive rewards, while those who are not will be judged guilty and thrown into the Lake of Fire as per Revelation 20:15. As Jesus says let the dead bury the dead. The Word of God says nothing for or against cremation. The decision to cremate or not is a personal one and no one else can make a judgement call as to whether it ought to be allowed or not. Let each individual make up their own mind as to how they want his/her dead body handled.

      @@TheGreatSkull123 The same as anyone else. Their physical bodies turn to "dust". Now if you are referring to their souls then that's depends. I'm not God so I can't say where their souls go. Ecc.12:6 Or ever the silver cord be loosed, or the golden bowl be broken, or the pitcher be broken at the fountain, or the wheel broken at the cistern.
      7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it.
      We have 2 bodies flesh and spirit,
      ( 1 Corinthians 15:40-44 ).
      Once the flesh dies we have no need for it again,we have a much better body that never ages..
      We know if we belive the bible the spirit goes to God as soon as we die..
      Christ teaches this in Luke 16:19 forward..

      I have been a minister since 2004. You are confusing those in ministry with the funeral home directors and those who offer the services of actually handling, burying, or cremating a body. I don’t even charge for my services as a minister to offer support to grieving families. Most ministers don’t. The funeral home at times will build in a cost and ask the family if they would like to compensate the minister. In my area of the country that ranges from $50-$150 dollars.

We can't put our human limitations on God. I don't believe in giving greedy funeral homes $15,000 and we often hear reports of them doing inappropriate things with the body. I want my descendants to use my life insurance for something more beneficial. I want to be cremated and scattered over water (preferably the lake I got baptized in). God says, “Ashes to ashes, dust back to dust” Our bodies were taken from the ground, and shall return to the ground- whether by burial or cremation. A true Christian does not see decay. Jesus said to the man on the cross, “TODAY you will be with Me in Paradise.” They did not take their bodies with them- we have proof of that. Jesus needed to preserve His because, lol, He needed it back. That will not be the case for us. SO WHY would you leave your family with a financial burden they can’t afford? The population today is much different than then. The land should be for the living, not the dead. “I’m sorry” says mom, “we can’t live on that land, or that one, or that one, no schools or playgrounds because that land is reserved for burying the dead.” “Then where do we live, work, and play mommy?” “We can’t sweetheart.” Do you see how ridiculous? You can still have a funeral with ashes, and remember the love of that person. “If you surrender your body to flames, but have not love, then you gain nothing.” I’ve lost my childhood teeth, some nail clippings, and cut hair, I even have my umbilical cord reserved just for you. I give you my body parts so that you can remember me. (ridiculous) We are not our bodies, but rather IN our bodies, and someday when we die our souls will come out of our bodies- just as we come out of a car it truck. Our bodies are just a temporary vehicle in this life. (Read 1 Samual 31:12).

    So....what about believers who have perished in so many house fires and fires of all kinds, those who really had no choice in the matter of non-cremation. They may have chosen burial bodily, but this fire accident occurs and destroys their plan. Something is not right about this necessary burial thing as we know also that God can do all things as He is God. If He (God) can not reconstruct a human body, if He wants to, who is He really? Do not tempt the Lord. What Paul says about the rapture is quite literal and should be accepted as it is written, do not interpret the Word. If it says we shall resurrect then so be it. No reading into the matter of the text. You will have to do better than this to convince me that their is a genuine concern here especially when it is considered that we now live under the Grace program of God and not under the Mosaic Law He gave to the Jew. We live by the law of Jesus Christ according to the cross and His program elivered at the post stoning of Stephen. Thanks for the opportunity to respond.

    • @BibleAnswerMan
      @BibleAnswerMan  3 года назад

      Angels on the needle is a categorical error. Angels are non-corporeal. They never really occupy any coordinate point in physical space. The needle is a physical object, and the head of a needle is a particular area of physical space occupied by the needle. To ask about angels dancing on the head of a needles confuses categories. It is like inquiring about the color of taste, wherein the categories of color and taste are being confused.
      The resurrection is a little different. The question has to do with the correspondence between the present body and the future resurrected body. Our bodies do succumb to disease, death, and decay, but God can resurrect the body immortal, imperishable, incorruptible. Even though the remains of myriads of deceased have disappeared over time for various reasons, God can reconstitute whatever has been lost. The dead will come out of the sea, Death and Hades to stand before the judgment seat of Christ (Rev. 20:14).

      Nothing in Scripture hints to the burial at sea as having any precedence among the faithful in Old Testament and New Testament times; though there is an acknowledgement that many ancient mariners perished in the sea, but even the sea would give up the dead at the resurrection.
      Christians are to do all that is possible to have their remains handled with respect and that even in their death they would give testimony to the hope of the resurrection in Christ. That is the most important thing, to let your surviving family, friends, and acquaintances know that though the body has died, your hope is in Christ, and that Christ will raise us up to eternal life.

      God has nary a problem with reconstituting corpses lost through predation. The main point is for the Christian to honor Christ even in death, so many believers who go on to be with the Lord will make arrangements for their corpses, and burial is a way to symbolically testify to the hope in resurrection.

    I have a question 👋 I don't see any place in the Bible that says a body should be embalmed ??? Why preserve the body because when we are called up it won't be these bodies going to heaven !!!

    • @BibleAnswerMan
      @BibleAnswerMan  2 года назад

      @Deborah W Both Jacob (Israel) and Joseph were embalmed (Gen. 50:2-3, 26). The fact of embalming never precludes the Christian teaching on burial.
      Jesus was never embalmed per se, but His body was wrapped in linen and covered w/ spices (Jn. 19:40). For Jewish people to do this presupposes a corpse - they were convinced Jesus was dead. The witnessing of the living Jesus on the third convinced them the resurrection took place. This parallels the Christian practice of burial in anticipation of resurrection.
      OT still participate, including Israel and Joseph, are part of the “all” who arise and participate in the future resurrection to everlasting life (cf. Jn. 5:28-29).
      All this follows the pattern of Christ. He died; He was buried; He rose again the third day. Thus, the Christian dies; The Christian is buried; The Christian will rise to everlasting life.

    Our bodies are just a vessel on earth. When the new system comes, Jehovah will restore us to when we were our healthiest. Usually @ 33yrs old, the same age as Jesus was, when he was killed for our earthly sins. The bible doesn't say burial or cremation is the proper way. Unfortunately, most folks today, cannot afford funeral/burial costs anymore, hence more families are turning to cremation.

    We all turn to dust regardless of what happens. People dead and buried in Christ’s day will likely be dust by now. It literally makes no difference it’s only speeding up the process. People buried underground without caskets years ago have now become trees and grass and are completely not the body they were at death anyhow. I don’t think that stops the resurrection. It’s foolishness in my opinion for people to argue about. We all become dust again.

      @imaliveinjesus Are not the two examples mutually exclusive? How do you respectfully handle the remains of someone whose death resulted from incineration? That’s one thing. How do you respectfully handle the remains of a Christian who dies sans any destruction to the corpse, well burial is a good way of testifying the that Christian’s hope in his/her future resurrection from the dead when Jesus returns to judge the living and the dead? So, Jesus died, was buried, rose again, why not when the Christian dies, he/she gets buried, because we know what happens next? • @BibleAnswerMan
      @BibleAnswerMan  Год назад

      @Roger Dysert The Christian testimony is that Jesus Christ will appear again, the dead will be resurrected, and the righteous will be resurrected to everlasting life but the unrighteous to everlasting condemnation. Christ was buried and rose again on the third day, so the Christ follower follows Christ in baptism, burial, and resurrection.

    Cremation??: The Lord has complete control on the day you were conceived and the date n time n circumstances of your death. So, burned in fire to ashes, on the titanic, etc the Lord knows how He in those particular deaths that was directed by God in their walk...He will deal with it. There are/were many born again Christians who were brought to the stake for death because they would not recant the Word of God and Jesus Christ and those martyrs death by fire, etc brought Glory to the name of God and of "whom the world was not worthy."
    3 thoughts ....that orginally cremation was/is a pagan practice, the Bible study of just who was cremated and under what circumstances, AND the last thought that it was Hitler who used cremation to dispose of Jewish masses/millions....gives a long pause to a major thought... does God have to specifically, in black n white, forbid cremation for a born again Christian?
    If you say "Lord, Lord...What IF u chose the roll of your dice/decision for cremation....it may be His response will be "I never knew you."
    How would you know if the rising cost of burial is the world's/Satan's way of detering what pleases the Lord and making it easy for you to decide for cremation to save $$. Quite a quandary for a born again Christian's walk or is it???
