    Great video. No talking, no cheesy music: just straightforward professional work. Love the techniques I hadn't seen before. Particularly, the cutting of the worktop with the plunge saw before cutting the mason's mitre with the router. Great way to save on expensive router bits. I'll be adopting that method going forward. Thanks for sharing.

      Thanks so much i just do it that way just because i wasnt in private property that was an empty building site where no one living otherwise i will do it the other way since it still needs 3 passes with router in bothe way just the traditional one can be done with more dust being collected dispite the fact that takes longer to be done

      @@CAVjoinery just got myself a ts55 however I do think some bits on my old makita seem better like motor is smoother and seems more powerful. I think usability of the festool is better overall however its not as much as improvement over the makita as I thought. Have you found the same thing?

    • @ThisTall
      @ThisTall 5 месяцев назад

      @@James-dv1dfI’ve had both as well. The Makita is better value for your dollar. But that rough feel of the Festool motor is actually intentional. I thought it was an issue when I got mine, but it’s actually the torque regulator, so you get less burning like the Chinese saws do when they just blindly power through everything. The cleaness shows up between the 2 when you start cutting hardwood slabs. You get more blade deflection and burning when the saw just brute forces itself through. The Festool is supposed to provide a better finish cut, and so far in my experience it definitely has. And the depth change on the TS is so quick, I don’t miss the score cut button on the Makita.

      I used m5 52mm drywall plugs and the reason I used hammer drill was because I needed more space for m5 screws plus to go deeper into wall. Wall had a cavity enough for the plug to expand but not enough for screws to go inside,thanks
