Bought one near the end of 1995, had a leather bracelet and used til the end. Got a stainless steel and looks the same today...24 years....Will buy a rubber or the one above and will change when I feel like. Have the watch almost 27 years and never had a problem
Jesus that is a stunning combination. I love nato straps that match either the dial or the bezel of a watch. I wish it didn't have an ETA movement but it is chronometer certified at least and 500m water resistant is really good
NATO straps really is an affordable way to inject a different feel and style to a watch indeed! I guess if this watch carried an in house movement, the price would be double what it is! I must add that Breitling really makes subtle improvements to the base ETA movement to bring it up to chronometer certification. The base movement is the top end quality and you can tell from the finishing if you open the caseback,
These discontinued entry level Breitlings are a bargain and often overlooked, if you like em, buy em. I actually am happy with the ETA movement and believe it or not for everyday wear I actually prefer ETA movements for its ease of maintenance.
I agree with your take on ETA vs in-house, whilst I do appreciate the craftmanship of in-house movements and own a few in-house movements, for everyday wear I actually prefer a simple ETA movement. Easier and cheaper to maintain. Also, these discontinued Breitlings like the Colts and older Superoceans are actually good value for money, I bought an older A17360 Superocean last year and as someone who owns other brands like Rolex, Grand Seiko, IWC, these older Breitlings are a bargain for the quality they provide.
Hi! When I say independently owned I meant it’s not part of a watch conglomerate group such as LVMH and Richemont who own multiple watch brands under their portfolio.

Independently owned? What does it mean when the owner is a huge investment company CVC Capital?
