Here's the thing it's a personal choice whether you decide to forgive your spouse for cheating. But after someone cheats you know the likelihood is they'll do it again, especially if you just accept an I'm sorry instead of that person legitimately working on there issues with self. But I don't feel like making the choice to stay makes you a role model or strong or honorable....we really need to stop saying those things. The person that cheated for whatever reason made a conscious choice. And maybe I can even understand more if the person married young without much experience, but Jay Z was no spring chicken and had slept with more than the average man's share of women. He should've worked out his emotional issues before starting a family. He says it takes strength to stay in a relationship watching the hurt you caused someone you love, but I call bullshit. People do it every day because they're banking on that person loving them enough to forgive them. It takes strength to be honorable to the family you created and realize cheating is emotionally devastating in so many ways. And not only that it touches more than just the spouse. And this man has so many resources at his disposal. He could have flown out a therapist at any time if he was so in survival mode and emotionally detached. Just bullshit. At the end of the day we as women just have to learn how to toughen up. Let there be lasting consequences and stop thinking how much we love them and instead put the focus on how much they don't value us. And I do know women cheat and men forgive as well,but majority of the times it's this exact scenario.
