Yes BTS along with many other kpop artists train for years before their debut and even after debuting. Bts has been around for yearssssss and finally got the chance to perform BECAUSE of the many US fans and yes along with Asian fans as they are also HUGE in Asia.
Yes Selena hasn’t trained extensively as much as BTS so of course it will be harder for her to sing and dance and that’s totally fine because as I said things are done differently in the western music industry compared to the Korean music industry. Because bts has had the training to be able to sing and dance they can do as the same time. They also play their music in the background for the same reasons western artists do. And I personally do not think they lip sync as many of their live performances have proven so.
Me, personally, I love bts and Selena for their own uniqueness. I don’t compare because the situations of how they each made it and their music is totally different. I don’t understand how so much disrespect and hate has gone around, music is something that each artist or group does in a unique way that shouldn’t be compared to someone with a completely different rise to fame and back story. Everyone is so upset with this performance and is so quick to judge but put yourself in her shoes sometimes performing it not easy, especially after her surgery. I KNEW IT!!! Remember radio disney when 5H performed Worth It? it sounded like it was lipsynced because radio disney messed up the audio and posted the video with the track vocals rather than live. Now since Selena used the backtrack and most of the other performers didn't, maybe the AMA audio people got confused and messed up what audio was beeing sent thru television.
