We agree that the strategy is not the easiest to pick up as a raw beginner or for those who cannot initially day trade lower timeframes (whether that be due to their job or starting skillset).
So we are currently working on a full refresh of the Trading Plan module to provide a progression of trade plans that start off with a simplified Swing strategy. This will allow you to trade around a job, as well as develop the higher timeframe knowledge that is first required to successfully progress to lower timeframe entries (if you wish to do so).
I'm confident this will continue to improve the learning curve and success rate of our members.

I think the hardest module is the market strucure and utilising multi timeframe analysis. Matt makes it easy to understand but seeing it for yourself is hard and needs slot of practise. I have only been wit photon for a few weeks but definitely think once u master it, you will have no limits. Anyone here funded with photon yet ?

He is a great teacher and he has mechanized the strategy in a way that you always know what you are looking for. I've tried learning SMC on other sites and it never really made sense to me until now.

His teaching style is awesome.
I was with Phantom but left when Albie left the group. It was my first SMC mentorship group so i genuinely thought it was the best. But I watched a couple of photon's videos, I thought this guy is so much better and clear in his teachings. I am still struggling with SMC and would definitely join Photon hopefully by the end of the month. I only request him to make more public public videos.
He's focusing on the community content from what Matt answered in one of the comments

phantom is good but photon just has that extra edge and I like both.

Thanks for reviewing these. I was gonna join phantom but they doubled the price. I only really like blackwatch who is one of there coaches but considering he’s not the main guy I might go with photon. I don’t like the idea of a bunch of different coaches. Thanks again for the review.

SMC isn,t just taking entries on 1m if your full time you can just end your analysis on 15m or even the 4hr but we use multiple timeframes to increse the probabilty and RR but SMC is a strategy that uses S&D (refined s&D with market strucutre or liq ) Market Structure liquidity

Photons course, not only teaches how to trade but also to have the right mindset to make money, how to handle expectations, how to handle money, and psychology and many more. I have watched many courses like traqfx and mentfx, but what i have noticed is photons teaching skill and planning he had taken to make his clients feel 100% satisfied

Do they share the MT4 screenshots right after they just placed the trades (while still running) OR only after they've closed the trades/hit tp,sl?
Not being rude bro just wanna make sure they're legit because I've seen everything. From fake gurus who are super good at photoshop to those who use their software engineering skills to manipulate backend stuff or even creat something of their own
They post their trades while they are running, close to hitting TP. I 100% trust them because I know one of the coaches, and he has shown me proof time over time

I agree. It’s very comprehensive, but I think one must master it completely before going out on one’s on. I agree with Kimmel’s assessment regarding already having discipline and have practice with this strategy. Should backtest it until you can execute in your sleep. Contradictory to this statement, I wish I had it as a beginner as I just wanted a clear strategy that I was shown how to execute reliably. I just needed guidance and that’s what photon is, even regarding psychology.

You'll have a good understanding of the strategy fairly quickly if you put the work in as you are saying. You could be looking at the market in a totally different manner after 3 months

Photon trading focuses on 3 sessions only, Frankfurt, London and NewYork but mainly Pre-London and the London session

Only thing left for you to check out and study is ICT's strategy.
I myself have been watching some of his RUclips videos. Only problem is ICT no longer has open mentorship. Learning two diff strategies and trying to copy others has confused me. It’s also prolonged my career. I got into Trading 1.5 years ago. Had I learned about Photon then, I probably would’ve been a funded trader by now. So I will be joining Photon for month and just follow that. I do want to add one thing from ICT.

Blackwatch is an amazing coach, couldn’t tell you a comparison because I don’t know blackwatch personally. But I agree that he is one of the best coaches

Are the strategies taught in photon fully backtested and profitable? I just want an already working system. It’ll be difficult to backtest the 1 min chart you know. Do they have a back tested data spreadsheet or something

Yes it's more of a rule based system. Matt had definitely changed the way I see the markets in a good way.
His teaching has also taught me many of different things, like how to create a plan and stick too it, choosing the right timeframes, i no longer use the H1 anymore and actually only use 4 timeframes now. Matt is changing the game for me. Love him.

Im gld to see this review but the price keeps me out.... Its very expensive and bigginer traders probably wont be able to sustain a monthly payment. Im very curoius about the course but the price man.... just to high. How can you convince me its cheap?
Value is worth paying for . Determine how much you want this trading as a career vs what you currently doing soonest your vision is clear you'll realise the price is cheap for the progression curve you'll have vs time spent on other mediocrity out there. I'd take this course even if it was £200 a month . This will change your life now value that.
I wont try to convince you. Because I know where you are coming from. I believe that it is fairly price, mostly because I know how much work goes behind the scenes. It also filters out people that don’t want to pay that kind of money, and since you pay more, you give it more value too. All the rest is personal opinion. What is expensive for me might be cheap for you, and vice versa, I consider it like buying knowledge. Always good to have more knowledge

@@gucci9381 I've been in several communities. The entry rules I learned from vertex are ingrained in my trading. I do like checking out different discords, though. I also like helping out his videos stats by asking questions that I think others may want to know.

my issue with photon is that I have never seen Matt, the founder, take live trades. his RUclips is full of videos teaching trading concepts but none of the videos is him and his trading platform, with him actually taking trades.
How am I supposed to trust him with teaching me if he never displays his aptitudes on a live account?
The best criticism ever and I'm very impressed with your break down. Photon is special a great site to be at I just started following them end of last month but damn it has changed everything I thought I new about trading.

Yeah I think forex is barely popular in the USA because you have to trade in the middle of the night to get London and NY open. Literally midnight and 4am start times! Those times work for me but it's pretty rare that's just how I sleep. I could never make a normal job work because I can't sleep at night! Haha so I'm very into learning forex now that I've discovered it

Hey, I'm wondering the same but I see guys who trade SMC with crypto on twitter, from what I have understood just trade the the top 50 coins in market cap, SMC doesn't apply as good to small altcoins, that's all.

Photon took the phantom trading course content, copied it exactly then put it on RUclips. He may be good at making videos, but the fact is everything that he teaches is from Phantom.

@@KimmelTrading It can't be an opinion, it is literally exactly copied, I will send a link, it might get deleted by yt but if you have taken Phantom course and watched Photon youtube videos I'm unsure how you can't see things that are exactly copied.
But he did better job to explain. It feels that phantom core course suck if you are new to the concept. There are things that are game changing which the don't have video on their website. Such as equilibrium premium and discount, flip, choch.

@@AW-wc7zd phantom has a hundred videos in their course, they aren't well-organized and half are terrible A/V quality. Besides that, every smc course is similar.
Never been in phantom so I can't confirm, but everything these days can be looked at as a "copy" or "iteration" of another strategy. It's not like phantom invented SMC. In the end the most important thing in a course is how well it teaches you to trade and Photon does that very well.
Too hype too many to say, but it is also a generic trading community and trading course/workshop nothing special, and expensive too.
