I risk 1.5% per trade, with a ratio of 1/3, I only need 2 good trades! I have done this for more than 3 accounts, and now I have about $400,000 under management, which allows me to make good money. Just not hurry and everything will be ok!
I Risk 0.5% per trade. When I am at a 3% profit, I increase my risk to 1%. However, if I lose that 3% profit again, I revert to risking 0.5% once more. This seems to be the most effective way for me to not lose the challenge and complete it quickly.
how many trades you take a week ?
I only trade D1, and trade 4-6 trades a month .. i use to risk 0.25% still haven't pass the challenge from past 1 year .
now planning to increase to 0.5 and planning to increase 1% , what's your thoughts about it ?
Should I risk 0.5% of the funded account size ? Or 0.5% of the total drawdown?
For example - if i have a 5k funded challenge account having total drawdown of 10% that's 500$ so should I risk 5$ per trade or 2.5$ per trade? Or 1% of 5000$ ?
@@vihaan2308 its 1% of 5000 .. that is 50$ in risk.. that is .. if you hit your SL then your loss should be 50$... so you are -1% of your total account balance

Great video mate, thanks. I know this is a bit of a late one so you might not see it, but how about you take us through your trading setup? Those monitors in the background look great. I've seen you use a tablet as well, how do you fit them all together into your integrated trading experience?
Cheers and keep at it.

I live in a 3rd world country so what this means is low wages and weak currency compared to usd, basically failing the challenge without retry would be a terrible scenario
I'm doing like this
account
< 0 or between 0 ~ 1% - 0,25% risk
1% ~ 2% - 0,50% risk
2% ~ target% - 1,00% risk
what this management allows you to do is to get to those 2 or 1 last weeks with a lot of drawdown available even if a lot of negative trades in a row came, so you can risk the amount you need to get a TP that would put the account above BE and then just wait
I'm on the third retry, this is working
I use a lot size that ensures, if I trade 15 times and lose all consecutively, then I lose the account. I don't plan on losing 15 trades in a row so this helps me manage my risk and emotions. I generally do 1 trade a day. I'm considering making it that i can lose 20 trades instead but first gna see how this plays out. so far I've passed a live account and scaling up to try the next level.
i.e. on a 10k account, with a 20pip stop loss, I used 0.40 lot size. I'm tightening this up to 15 pip SL now so that will be 20 losses in a row before the accounts gone.
Isn't this almost the same as using a percentage of the account
@@hectorsherry585 same principal. but with prop firms, you can only lose 10% of the account before its blown. we don't have access to the full 100%. so risking 1% per trade or per day doesn't work here. so instead, i look at it as how many trades can i take before i blow the account.
I needed this,,
Man this was a great idea thank you 😂
This video is greatttttt!❤️
thx bro
Only thing I’d point out is that how you apply everything mentioned in the video should be largely dependent on your strategy’s RR ratio and win %. If your win % is high, you can afford greater capital exposure (higher trade frequency and higher risk) because the likelihood of high drawdown is much less. RR also factors in because you need to use that alongside winrate to calculate expected capital gain % across x amount of trades, which then should determine your level of capital exposure based on how many trades on average it will take to reach the challenge target %.
Ohhhhh my Earssss!! Cant take this much High quality Knowledge at Once
I had a 6% capital exposure with 3 trades (2% per trade as per stoploss), but ended with a 10% gain in 3 weeks. Never had more than a 1% equity drawdown. BUT, i do only trade the strongest trends and compound on 4hr retracements.
Yea if your trading these challeneges with a 10% profit target for a 30 day period..take your time. dont over trade. I placed 3 total trades in a 3 week period, I actually hit a 15% unrealized gain when price hit a new low.
Great vid Kimmel.🧿
My approach is to risk 0.5% per trade no matter what, if I'm 4% up on the last week, I'll be aiming for 6%, so I'll get an extension, no need to rush things
I’m very similar, I scalp and take quite a lot of trades and risk .33-.50% per trade. 1% or 2% risk that people commonly talk about is a LOT if you’re taking 5, 10, or even more trades a day.
I don’t want a string of bad trades not going my way having my entire account down 10% or more in a day or two.
On say FTMO what % do u have to make before the month to get an extension is it 6%?
doesn't ftmo need you to have 10% gain by the end of the month?
@@azazaelmaher6468 yes but if u hit 6% before the challenge ends, they give u 2 extra weeks to hit 10%
That’s actually a horrible risk strategy. Your supposed to put more risk on your A+ setups. Like (1.5% - 2%). Risking 0.5% is a sign of insecurity.
Nice content!

what is your maximum daily loss? for example if you risk 1% and lose, close the charts and come back the next day?
Thank you guy
💪🏿
IMO the starting trade size should be small enough to keep that size even if you have a string of loses when starting. What can happen if you lose full size on several trades to start then you lower the size and your odds even out & you have a series of winners but it's at 1/2 the profit of a full size trade would be. Start smaller than you think you need to and have your account larger than what you think it'd need before you size up.
wow interesting video, and very useful.
Durante teste sempre movo para BE. Stop loss de 4-8 pips TAKE 1:5 RR
What kind of camera do you use ???🔥🔥🔥 fire quality brotha
Keep in mind. 1% is 10% in prop firm. You don't have 100k when u pass. Your Max drawdown is your actual trade risk. Which is 10% you should be risking 1% of 10k 😂the cluck…. this is a slow grind y'all. Trust me you won't fail prop firms with this. These guys are risking $1000 on per trade😂
obrigado pelo excelente conteúdo amigo. DEUS te abençõe... IN BRAZIL
Good info bro. So we should have a perspective about our avarage trades in a month?
So if it's around 15 trades in a month we shod take 1.4% risk per trade in evaluation phase?
Great Video 🖤👁
Thank you! 💪🏿
I am a newbie in prop firms, kindly lemme ask, is the 1% risk per trade or 1% in all trades
Thanks ! background music please ?
This makes perfect sense. And pretty much the way I am approaching it.
I am risking 0.5% per trade, and I aim for 1:1-1:3 RR depending on conditions.
With this, even 1 trade per day will allow me to pass a phase 1 in a month. And this will carry over to when it’s live as well so you don’t need to suddenly change your approach because that can mess it up as well.
I should be able to make 10% every 2-3 weeks provided conditions allow.
Same here, 0.25-0.5% per trade. Mainly scalping.
@@nicktradesmta to be honest, I have not yet, not because the strategy cannot work, but because I keep getting in the way of myself. I am still following the same setup, but I now have new rules for the actual trading I am implementing which is going much better. I’ll let you know once I have done this👍🏻
10 in 2-3 weeks you’ll be a millionaire
Appreciated
🔥🔥
When you talk about challenge then verification.. do you mean phase 1 is the challenge and verification is phase 2 in the challenge ?
ICT also talks about reducing risk when going into a losing cycle instead of going into panic trying to make back losses with bigger risk. I prefer to risk 1% consistently and for higher risk trades I risk less and higher probability trades I would max risk 2%

The very best money management I came across is the "ICT Forex - Money Management That Works" video. Since there is no time limits to prop firm challenges there is no reason to rush to pass any challenge. What any trader need is a very strict protocol to follow that put in place responsability and good habits that garanty success.
That f u approach is something to aspire to....
Best idea here, if a prop firm gives you a 100k account but has 8 or 10% max drawdown, that means you dont actually have a 100k account. You are only given the drawdown amount %. So in this case you only have 8k or 10k to trade with. risking 1%, you put your prop firm challenge at a much larger chance of ruin. dropping risk to .5% although it will cut your wins in half, itll preserve your capital to the put of 0.005% chance of ruin! best of luck traders.
The time pressure is where they get you. Trading with 0.5% is not a problem but you need alot of trades to get that 10%
0.005?
"you only have 8k or 10k to trade with" Perhaps the right one is "you only have that amount to lose". You still have 100k to trade with, it's a matter of purchasing power. With 100k you can purchase what 10k can't.
@@Tradex420 Not really… if you avg a 1:2-1:3. I mean it’s just my data that’s proven to work for me, but depends on the person. Just for an example, I made 6% in 5 days on my challenge only risking 0.5% and max 1%

If you're account compounds by 1% a day it will take 132 days for your account to reach $5,700 which is how much you need to make to make your first withdrawal. How long is the average successful prop trader take to get through this process?

This thing is easy!
Anyone who knows a risk management tool for risk management on us30 and nas100?
We need content like this... Informative.. keep going bro
Thank you! 💪
15 x 1% it's less than 15% because after every 1% loss you have less money, so 100 x 0.99^15 = 86% you risk 14% and not 15% 😉

Trading on smaller timeframe is very risky when we don't have proper money managment . plz make video about the money managment on smc method.
How much series of losses is okay and we still trust our strategy(smc or ict)?
How much RR is effective to make good money?
How much risk per trade should be on smc method( for both personal and prop firm challenge)?
How much drawdown of account is normal when we are trading on smc method?
How much % return every month is good?
sometime Staying negative at the end of whole month is okay ?and still trust the strategy to boune back next month?
These are the common question of lots of traders even experienced traders. Plz make video on it with detail.
Thanks ♥️

great
im currently 17 but can I day trade in a prop firm? I don't think I need to open a brokerage account or anything like that
I believe you can also only trade prop firms once you are over 18
To pass the phase challenge is very easy
are we talking .05 to 1.0 is where the stop loss should be placed per trade? Or is that .05% to 1.0 the amount that should be allocated from your entire balance, or finally, is that the amount that should be allocated from your drawdown amount? I'm a bit confused.
From entire balance
is it 1% of the maximum drawdown allowed or 1% of the account size which you are trading, that you risk?
Account size
Thanks brother, needed to hear this 👏💪🔥💯💥
💪💪💪💪
Maybe i can add a little clarity to the question on whats your lot size 🤔. I believe he asking for a blueprint for no confusion. Example on a $500 personal account having a stop loss 📉 of 200 pips and a lot size no more than 50 cents per pip.take trades on the hourly chart in the direction of the trend for maximum success during the london session.

Last approach, I know some prop firm will ban traders using f u strategy. Basically it's like gamble where you go all in. If its win you make big. Lol
If you go all in, yes, but risking 2% is not going all in, and if a prop firm bans one of my accounts, I am quickly out of there and onto a new one. F that one

@@a1pwn I’m only 13months in trading. I’ve only recently been showing profitability while making silly mistakes every so often. 5-7% is the max I’ve reached and that’s on a really good month. 1-3% is a good month. Breakeven on a harsh month
Lambo comes in the future haaha✊
@@alexandreturcotte950 step up. This isnt a game. Go get it! There are 6 stages of development. 1. Lose allot. 2. Lose a little. 3 break even. Your more then half way now! Does not feel great though. 4. Win a little. 5. Win allot. 6. Win allot consistently with low /reasonable drawdowns
Here is my take: Backtest your performance and see how much risk to reward you can get. Lets say you win 10 trades a month and lose 15. but you get 5 times reward per trade. This is 35RR.
Then I calculate 8/35 = 0,22. I could risk 0.22% per trade. But then I would rather risk 0,4%. Which also gives you the ability to lose 30 trades at MFF. Are you confortable with the ability to lose 30 trades? I am. I am not with 1% risk. That is personal. the first part is logical.
Yup! That's the way to go! I wanted to expand on the math behind it, but the video would get even longer hahah

How many lots should I use 😂😮
Both firms have higher failure ratio. E8 and the5ers are recommended.
All firms have high failure ratio
i use stinu app for lots size calculation its so easy, also in my opinion risking 0.5% is a good sign that your strategie is not enough powerful its better to risk 1-2% on quality setups by trading less and with a RR of 5 minimum, thank me later.
My system has pretty low win rate. So I risk 0.25 for 1:3 rr. Still figuring out the better win rate then increase % risk
Wow.... great video. Capital exposure hmmmm
