The ability for self-reflection and self-criticism is particularly important. Rammstein do this much more drastically in "Deutschland" than in "America".
A reaction streamer who even watches the making offs must also be a fan. Unfortunately, there are too many people who only do clickbait with Rammstein. But here I also sense a real interest from the streamer. 👍
I'm gonna quickly mention it. Because you where talking about that with Richard He lives / has lived, depending if that has changed, in the USA. He knows what he is talking about and as a german living in the USA atm. He is not overreacting, my god does he speak the truth
You really have to understand the context when this song was written: during the Iraq - USA war. Actually, if you watch the documentary called Rammstein in Amerika - which I highly recommand! - you will see that the song and video was Rammstein's answer to that war. Previously, their video for the song Ich Will was banned in USA because it had the misfortune to be published in september 2001, a time of huge anxiety and paranoia caused by 9/11.
Hi, great reaction! Thank you 🙂 You are right: other countries have Santa Claus, too. But the way, we picture Santa Claus (red fluffy coat, white beard, etc...) comes from America. The widespread image of Santa Claus has been strongly influenced by Coca-Cola's very successful advertising. The first advertising from coca-cola company with the Santa Claus we all know today, was from the year 1931! Did you know, that Richard lived in America for 11 years ?
Well, to be perfectly honest, it's not that simple that countries will say "No" to expanding American culture on their lands. Because it's not simply a matter of culture but rather influence, big money, and politics. The American government will do a lot to maintain influence in strategic regions because it is profitable. And it can do this in two ways: soft power (business) and heavy power (military). Very often it is a form of sophisticated blackmail: we (America) will give you something that you need the most at this moment (mostly military protection or guarantees) but in exchange, you will give us something that will be worthy of our efforts, like special business deals or so. That's why the USA invests so heavily in the military - if you are the guy with the biggest gun in the room others will have to listen, whether they like it or not.
Problem is There is this thing called Nuclear that MANY countries have, so all of our Guns are the same size. Because with Nuclear it does not matter if you have 100,000 bombs or 5 , you only need 1 to destroy an entire country (with radiation included) Also I dont think our Government really gives a crap if Mcdonalds is in France or Russia or China or not, unless we start thinking crazy like...but wait the more money Mcdonalds makes the more USA makes from the Taxes? lol I dunno....
@@ReactionsbyD I'm perfectly aware that many countries have nukes. But there is a certain paradox connected to the nukes - they work only until the first use. Their main purpose is deterrent potential. If someone uses one it means that the psychological barrier was crossed and others can do this as well. And if that happens it means that all parties lose because no amount of benefits will overbare the havoc. Believe me or not but governments are aware of that and none of them want to lose. And US influences are not only McD. These are high-tech companies, IT, engineering, finances, and so on... But even if we only concentrate on Mcdonald's... This company, like many others (at least in the EU) benefits from a double taxation avoidance agreement, which means that the company gains benefits from foreign markets and foreign labor forces but most of the profits (if not all) are transferred to the US (taxes are paid in the US). If we take into consideration that McD is one of the biggest brands in the world, which builds its revenue on its global recognition and brings a lot of money to the table, I think I can risk a statement that the US Government does care ;) Interesting fact: I believe that in 2015 there was a case in Luxemburg about abusing the double taxation avoidance agreement by McD. Another case is, for example, Amazon that, by using artificial accounting and legal tricks, can avoid paing taxes in the EU completely. And it's only a small part of the bigger picture.
The Original Pizza came from Italy there are similar Versions without Tomatosauce in french-german Elsass (English: Alsace) called Flammkuchen (literally translated Flamed Cake) but the American Version of Pizza like from Pizza Hut or Dominos had nothing to do with italian Pizza which has a way thinner dough and less but high quality cheese, less sweet but hearty tomato sauce, high quality toppings, while the bottom of American Pizza is basically thick bread with loads of cheap cheese. In Germany we differentiate between italian and american Pizza because American Pizza has nothing to do with Italian Pizza and is totally american, just like "Burgers" / Hamburger have nothing to do with the original Bouletten-Brötchen from Hamburg, Germany anymore and are totally an American food.

You're right with your food chain comparisons, but let's not forget: If a country sa NO to McDonalds, that might also mean they're getting sanctioned by the US/Dollar and degrade into a 3d world country like Venezuela or North Korea. There are radical consequences to saying "No" like poverty or military invasion on a grand scale level.
I guess it is the same around the globe - war is not made by the people but by governments. Rammstein always takes the piss. It is not just America. They are making fun of themselves, their fans (calling the fanclub Lifad (Love is there for everybody) sounds nice but is a song about a peeping Tom), they mock football (which is a religion in Germany), of course they target Germany and everything else. I'm not entirely sure of the timing, but the band was in the States either during or shortly after the attacks. And they have noticed the change in the population very intensively (it is understandable that this does not leave a nation unscathed!). But everyone has their own background, how and where they grew up and what values they represent. It was probably difficult for them to understand the extent to which people have changed. They suddenly had the feeling that they were among completely different people, everyone wanted to shoot someone and everyone was very hostile towards strangers. The band described it something like this in the America documentary. I don't want to judge this at all, I wasn't there, it didn't happen to me and it didn't happen in our country either. I don't know how our people would have reacted. All in all, this must have been a pretty extreme experience for the boys as people and especially as artists! Richard was living there…he said in their In Amerika documentary that a friend of his called and asked if he was okay, and she told him what was going on, so he left his girlfriend’s apartment and walked down the road to get to the corner where he could see the WTC and he saw the second plane hit…and the others were on their way when their flight got rerouted to Canada, I think Montreal. And Flake was so freaked out that he ended up leaving the tour early and going home. (Can’t blame him, honestly.)
Yeah, that part was also in the documentary, I think. I know that I heard it directly from the guys themselves, but I can’t remember for sure if it was in the documentary or in an interview.

Dude, any government that said NO to US commerce, met US military right after, or an aviation accident, or a "sudden internal rebellion", and is therefore no longer in government. So I'd rather have Mickey Mouse and McDonald's 🤷♀ But yeah, governments are the same all over the world, more or less ...
Unfortunately, it is not so easy to simply say no when a few powerful and power-hungry people decide over many and then change the environment in such a way that you have no choice but to say yes. Of course, the American is exaggerating, but that's in the context where the normal for someone personally lies. Americans, of course, don't see their exaggeration, because that's standard for them. For outsiders and other cultures, the standard elsewhere is less that you can good live with. For these people, the standard in America is exaggerated.

@@ReadingOne Thanks. I didn't know exactly anymore. But the flake thing sounds familiar, I remember that.
Yeah, that part was also in the documentary, I think. I know that I heard it directly from the guys themselves, but I can’t remember for sure if it was in the documentary or in an interview.
You guys in the US are weirdness incarnate, this is so bizzare I just had to watch this.
The Christmas trees came original from Germany. We have No satanclaus... Her we have Nikolaus and Christkind... Litttel Side Not. And sorry for my German accent 😊
It is a funny thing about the pizza. The pizza chains in Europe are mostly American like Boston pizza etc.And American pizza has nothing to do with Italian pizza according to Italians.
There is even a reflector on the moon which can be used with a laser.
Gaddafi was in Libya 😎
Yes Flake! :D Love the reaction ^^
But: If a Country say`s no to an American intrest, you`re gona see the Military bringing "Democrazy" and McDonalds to this specific Country.
And yes the Us has some good Places with European etc. food but heavely "Americanazed"
Do you know this skit about the USA and the Middle East from the comedy show "Die Anstalt"? Everything he says are facts, things that have really happened, since the 1950s to today, orchestrated by the US government to get the oil that's there in these countries, and how things ended up to be how they are now (it's got English subtitles):

These are very simplified depictions of geostrategic events.
@@haraldmax9685 yes, it's a comedy show, not a historical documentary... But people can look things up for details.
Dude, any government that said NO to US commerce, met US military right after, or an aviation accident, or a "sudden internal rebellion", and is therefore no longer in government. So I'd rather have Mickey Mouse and McDonald's 🤷♀
But yeah, governments are the same all over the world, more or less ...
Brilliant, right?
great sarcasm 😎
The color of Santas clothes m8
Unfortunately, it is not so easy to simply say no when a few powerful and power-hungry people decide over many and then change the environment in such a way that you have no choice but to say yes.
Of course, the American is exaggerating, but that's in the context where the normal for someone personally lies. Americans, of course, don't see their exaggeration, because that's standard for them. For outsiders and other cultures, the standard elsewhere is less that you can good live with. For these people, the standard in America is exaggerated.
Santa Claus is from Germany. The Coke Santa is from Amerika.
The look from Santa is invented by Cocacola, who took an Inuit fairy tale or tradition as a model. This is how Santa got a red/white suit... As far as i know

I also played as a kid cowboy and indian same as robbers and cops...pew pew :)

Es ist nicht alles, wie es scheint 🙂
but now lemme think about WHO put the U.S. flag on the moon . . . . Klingons ? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
sorry flake, you lived in East Berlin and had access to the western media including the American Music Radio station AFN and you are telling us that for the GDR citizens america was a rumor, which is not truth, because American Music was very popular in the east and west. The East German Indian films were also very popular in the GDR and the Indians probably did`nt live in the Societ Union or on the moon but in America.
That was a joke, or irony. That's how he always communicates. You have to watch his book readings, the content is a single sequence of absurd incidents presented with self-irony.
Omg don't cry
There's a saying in Germany that if you drive big cars, you want to compensate for the little things in your pants.😂😂😂😂 D.? What kind of car do you drive?😂😂😂😂😂
I drive a 4X4 Ford 350 with huge monster truck tires and 8 American Flags flapping in the wind from the Bed - I mean obviously right because I dare show my flag in my profile lol. oh wait....that's right - I drive a Model3 Tesla Performance lol
@@ReactionsbyD National pride is a must, you should never keep quiet and stand by where you come from😉👍
I come from East Germany and live and work in Switzerland. Germany is my home country and I stand by it.
But at the moment I'm ashamed of my country for the current situation. We have the same problems in Germany as Oliver Antonie sang about in America.
I hope for better times for my country and for your country too.
As a turkish never understand europeans complain about Usa. They literally owe their existance and all the wealth since last 70 years. This is kinda hypocrasi
Yeah I too have wondered why Americans, especially white Christians, think that their God and their way is the best and only way? If another country does not ask or want your offers of help then leave them..us what I believe ❤
Don't forget, during the time when the land was stolen from the Native Americans, they weren't yet Americans, back then they were still Europeans if I'm not mistaken!"
nope
as a german i would tell the trash food chains to eff off but unfortunately money rules and if 90% say eff off to them... no chance.
about us-government, last time i checked usa called themself a democracy - yes i know, just two parties in the same direction, democracy? good one :D - but in the end elected by bobs and karens.
Please react new video by alffy rev "ekspedisi Wonderland Indonesia, episode 1" because i like to see the way you react the video
Did your goverment fall out of the sky? 😁
The US shouldn't go to Ukraine, but your government should still support it… it's a country which is actually defending its' independence and sovereignity from Russian imperialism!
Yes you have chains over chains including chains from france or italy.
We didn't. There were no chains before american chains, there was no hypercapitalistic culture overwhelming us before... it is not the mac "food" it is the foreign culture demanding a space in our lifes to make money from us. We learned it is here to stay, but I personally still do not like if it feels pressed on me as a system, I don't asked to live in a coast to coast shopping mall like americans prefer.
.there is no flag in the Moon..
so all 5 flags from 5 different countries dont really exist? hmmmmm
@@ReactionsbyD Where the hell did you get this Fairy Tail story from 5 flags from? .. In less than 10 hours viewing youtube videos about this " hoax " , you find it obvious.. ..conspiracy theorists , vax deniers, cbdc, have nothing and be happy, 9/11, etc..every time i hear that, or right extremists, i know that governament is afraid that truth comes out..
C'mon man, did you take seriously?
You pronounce Flake wrong. But it’s not a big deal. It’s pronounced Flock-uh.
Flake
yes I know, that video was older when I still made the mistake :P
