My wife used to travel to Dubai a lot for Business, and I went out with her once and we went Business Class, I dont fly often and I thought it was the best flying experience I ever had. I had a well cooked steak at 40000ft! Im not much of a drinker but absolutely loved the bar, where I found myself the majority of the flight, just chatting to other passengers and it was a great atmosphere. The staff couldnt have been nicer and more chatty with us. I think they would have worked out you were a RUclipsr which might have made things a bit more quiet, no one likes to be filmed when they're at work. Try it again without the camera, enjoy the flight and embrace the bar. I hope one day to return to Dubai, its beautiful there.
Hello Tim , after watching your Chanel for sometime now I’ve come too this conclusion, watching your adventures is like traveling with your best friend all over the world 🌎, thanks Buddy !
In 2022, I traveled by plane from Phoenix to Idaho to see my sister who had cancer. No choice of any kind of class. I had not been on a plane for 44 years. It was a different world with so many regulations. At 79, there are no more trips planned. Thanks for letting me fly with you in luxury. Awesome.
I like the Emirates aesthetic with the rustic wood features combined with the modern tech. It gives a '70s vibe. The staff are dressed sharp and professional which is something I always admire. Thank you for the great content as usual, Mr. Tim!
I fly emirates Business Class from Australia to UK and back again regularly. I have always found the experience enjoyable and comfortable. I look forward to the flight, highly recommend.
@@donnatrevithick1318 hi donna. We are travelling to Melbourne from the uk with emirates business class. Can you advise re seats near to the lounge. @@SueMcCarthy-p4u Hi Sue, I have always flown by myself. My preferred seat would be by the window. Thus giving me space & no-one near me. It feels more like a first class seat. If you have to sit separately I would pick one of these seats about a third way down from the lounge. The lounge and those toilets get busy and you will find it difficult to sleep. So I agree with the other folk, avoid if you can. You can eat, sleep and watch movies and when you want to meet up... visit the lounge bar. You can see a great seating plan when you're on the Emirates website. Enjoy a great flight and safe travels.
@@donnatrevithick1318 thanks for this. We’ve decided to book separate window seats further down the plane. It’s a 9 pm flight so will definitely need some sleep. Dubai is certainly an impressive airport. I also understand that the newer business class has improvements. Taking all into account, it is worth it if you are able to do so. As always, appreciate being able to share an experience that I am unlikely to do.
I got a Free upgrade from Dubai to Brisbane. 14hrs in business class for nothing. Flew over Australia at midnight new year's eve. Celebrated at the bar at the back. Was amazing . Could not fault it. Amazing plane. Remember all Free..
I've only ever flown economy so this whole experience looks like a dream come true to me. I appreciate if you are used to the better things in life it may be a little disappointing, but for us normal people who can only every imagine of travelling this way, we really appreciate seeing a trip like this. Thank you.
I was upgraded to Business Class on a Qatar flight from Doha to Bangkok once. The difference was amazing! The seat became a fully-flat, full-sized single bed, and I had endless champagne and smoked salmon. Oh, and the voucher for preferential immigration at Bangkok!
The Emirates full toiletry kit seems to be reserved for the true long haul flights. They are quite nice too, full of Bvlgari stuff. The seat widths are the same as economy but the leg room is magnificent. We love the door to door chauffeur service, lounge and lay flat beds. Once you go business on a decent airline you're spoiled.
You get the amenity kit on the shorter flights (like Dubai to UK) as well, but only on night flights. The slippers and eye mask are a relatively new feature and on flights over 9 hours you now also get PJ’s (they call them ‘lounge wear’) in Business class.
The goodie bag from Auckland to Dubai was good a few years ago i got the female version for my sister, no problem at all from the cabin crew. I never used the male one, i have a draw full of them from over the years but the female one has some nice stuff etc.
Flew Emirates business class from Manchester to Dubai last week en route to Singapore. Brilliant experience. Premium economy from Singapore to Dubai was also very good.

I’ve only travelled business class once with emirates from Dubai to Melbourne en route to New Zealand from Glasgow. It was amazing as it was a free upgrade! Being able to lie down and get some decent sleep was so worthwhile on a 14 hr flight compared to being crushed in Economy class seats for that length of time! Food and service was amazing! If I could afford it would pay for that luxury every time! Total flight time Glasgow to NZ was around 35 hours not counting connection times! Such welcome relief in a long journey!
@@maureen14👋My first ever flight at aged 21was 23 hrs. JAL, stop over at Alaska, best ever airport! Rows and rows of fur coats! At eyes watering prices.... This was back in 1980 times have changed. Massive Boeing 'state of the art' (at the time) 747. My second flight a year later was Monarch😬(held together with duck tape round the windows). On the return flight an engine caught fire and we made an emergency landing at Rimmi (spelling?) Italy. It was still a military base at the time... any other first time or long hauls out there of note? ....🙃🇬🇧
we got an upgrade last August for our trip back to New Zealand. We were pushed onto an earlier flight due to problems at Heathrow, so we took the option. We found out that the A380 on that trip did not have premium economy which we had paid for. I asked about why , there was only business and economy no prem on that flight. I thought okay and was told that we could claim back from Emirates, so I sat down . A moment later my name was called and we were upgraded to business class. Now we had done the prem/economy NZ to London. The NZ leg to Dubai was on an older A380 and was not good, in fact it was quashed up may as well have been in economy. The UK leg was on a newer aircraft and much better. Anyway business class was great although my wife and I were separated but in seats divided by a center consul, never mind it was great, we went to the bar this night flight was full, all the Dubai locals going home and a number of men sat in the bar drinking I mean drinking, we had a couple of drinks and went back to our seats. For the money on long haul business class will be our next thing when we head back to the UK.
My experience of Emirates Business Class was very similar but the main difference was that the staff were wonderful - on all four legs of my journey return from New Zealand to UK. I obviously looked like I wasn't their usual clientele but they still were charming and welcoming. Even in the bar, they chatted away and offered to take a photo of me behind the bar with them - their suggestion. The other difference was the bed was quite spacious - not cramped as shown in this video. Even though the rest of the set up was almost exactly the same as my experience. So perhaps it was built into to a more cramped part of the aircraft. I was most impressed with the huge catalog of music, movies and TV series available. If I could afford it, I would always fly Emirates Business. Unfortunately my clients aren't always willing to pay for it. Another great video again, love your channel.
Wow. When I walked into the bar, everyone just kinda looked at me. It was awkward and felt unwelcome lol. Maybe because I was dark? I was the only brother in business class. Im surely they are not use for seeing people like me there lol.
First class on the A380 is on my bucket list. I only have about 4 or 5 things on that list, but that is definitely one of them. It’s great to see this-you’re always so honest with your travels
@@gertjanvandermeij4265 yeah with all engine covers falling off , windows blasting away as in movies Boeing is great 😂😂. i don't think u can name any 1 good Boeing expensive or worthy quality flying experience.
I like the lounge. Yes it was quiet but it gives people a chance to sit down and chill or think of all the things you forgot to bring. Flying this year business class on Virgin Atlantic and can't wait. I read that the lounge at Heathrow is fantastic. Safe travels.
Thanks for this Tim a great insight into business class! The lounge looked lovely and a nice little area on the plane. The meals looked good too! Great to virtually travel with you when I would probably never see these things otherwise! Keep the great work coming!😊
Hi Tim, I look for your channel most times on utube because you give a unbiased opinion on your experiences, and basically keep it real. You give a very polished commentary and seamless chapters. HOW are you not on tv I will never know. I presume you do all this yourself which makes it even more amazing, especially with a family aswell. Just want to say thanks for all your advice and expertise on travel.keep up the excellent work.
Fan and fellow Norfolk boy here (well originally Lowestoft Suffolk, but nobody is going to admit to that 😊). Love your work and was really happy that you paid Dubai a visit again - I’ve been living here 6 years and was great to see you reviewing our staycation spots. One of our annual treats (after scraping pennies and miles) is to fly Emirates business class and I would absolutely recommend trying the refreshed cabin - look out for any plane offering premium economy and you’ll be guaranteed the new cabin 🙂. Also, try Qatar Airways’ Q-Suite business seat, would love to see what you think of that. Keep up the great work and doing Norfolk proud 😊
I love your honesty and openess and seeing past the facade of selling it. I fly economy and spend more money when I go out to places once I have landed. I really enjoy these videos. I never got the Dubai hype experience and still don't. It's refreshing to see someone not doing this for clicks and it's why I try and watch as many of your videos that I can. Keep up the excellent work, Sir! Skagness next weekend in a trailer park?
I've done this on Emirates and loved it. Great seat, friendly FAs, good food, lounge access and limo pickup. Best part was the bar on the A380 - just socialise with other pax. You almost forget you're even flying...
I’ll be honest I’ve travelled a few times on Emirates and have been lucky to travel on business twice. I’ve always had a great experience on there and have never been treated any differently in business than anyone else. Love flying with them.
some free advice as ive ungraded twice in the last 2 years (from London to DXB) , if you want to get a discounted emirates business class seat book economy ticket first , wait until like 3-4 days before (or sometimes they usually send you an email to say you have been selected and offer you a far cheaper ticket usually when BC isn't full ) and upgrade on the app which usually on offer for between £500-1000 each as an upgrade. Where by if you buy a business class seat directly one way could cost between £2500-3500 depending on the time. Most economy tickets are roughly between £500-700 from London. (Only thing you’ll miss out on , if it’s an upgrade to BC is lounge access and chauffeur services)
But when you don't get the email from them and its full, you are sat there in economy travelling to the Far East asking yourself why why why did I not just book BC. 😀 Ask me how I know.
We just come back from Dubai, and been a few times and booked economy , we tend to find heading to Dubai, BC always full, but you are correct, we when flew back and checked online 48hrs before hand there was at least 10 BC available at a price of £990ea me and my wife I was so tempted, as it was around £1900ea, However even at £990 just couldn’t do it for a 7 hr flight,
@@marks7471 I get you it is a risk of course , but seems to work for me on the 9:10 morning flights from LHR as it’s might be because it’s more expensive EC as it’s the earliest you can leave , its probably harder on afternoon or evening flights departures
First flew on emirates in 1996 on their first Boeing 777’s out of Heathrow to Dubai, the first airline to have seat back tv,s on all planes in economy It was then, state of the art. Flew on their business class in 1997 and it was still old style bucket seats that reclined about 45 degrees. The food was excellent.
I flew business class with Emirates in 1999. Melbourne to Heathrow. It’s certainly changed from then to now but it was a wonderful flight. The only upset was the flight attendant hit my glass as she put my dinner down on my table and the drink leaked into my lap. So spent about 12 hours with wet pants. We did get moved to two other business class seats as my seat was wet. No upgrade to first unfortunately.😂
Your shared experience and information was very interesting. Not many of us can allow to have such an experience and therefore Much appreciate it 👏🏻Enjoy your trips.
I recommend try Lufthansa First Class at Frankfurt airport they have a First Class Terminal and you get driven to your aircraft worth it for the experience Tim!!!!! hope u take note ✍️
Can I just vent? I HATE HATE HATE big airports. I know … they are the reality of today, but I can’t help hating them. I don’t travel much but when I do I try to choose places with small airports - the UK thankfully has many. Newcastle airport is my fave (thanks to its easy access metro line) ❤🤣
Great video. I did the same in February, Emirates A380 Heathrow to Dubai return. Agree on all your points, loved the food onboard, cream tea was lovely with a proper cup of tea too. Emirates business lounge in Dubai was so disappointing. Couldn’t put my finger on it, but you are spot on, soulless. Food not great either. Heathrow lounge on the way out was fantastic. Breakfast buffet was so good, was late boarding because of it! 😆
I just want to let you know Tim that i enjoy your critics of your travels...you are very honest and have a lovely warm manner..so thank youfrom Melbourne..❤
I like these videos on planes. Really calming 😊 I like how you show the menus and the items at the buffet as well (I would've tried that pea soup out of the available options 🍵) The lounge did have a slightly stark look (reminded me a bit of Bradford Central Library in 1985) but I imagine it had a kind of cooling effect which might be just right in a hot and busy country. Looked like a nice experience anyway
Hello TIm, loving your videos. Always look forward to the cost at the end. It might help to equally state the cost of a regular/economy ticket for comparison. Cheers.
My funniest business class moments. We travelled often when we lived in the Middle East mostly Business. We got on the plane one day and the 6yo male had the boarding passes. The lovely steward instructed him towards economy and he looked straight at him and said no we always go that way, pointing to business class. A moment to treasure forever.
Tim, I flew Emirates from Miami and back last September, in Economy. 14 hours trips, however, I will do it again. Anything from Emirates is great! BTW, love your videos, when you check the mattresses, the cleanliness, the Hotel de Paris, Circus-Circus, Luxor hotel, the Burj Al Arab has been my favorite so far. Keep it like that, please!!!
Thanks Tim. The hard product is now quite out dated for Business , even BA have cabin suites on all but there A380's , time for a refresh. They also forgot to give you an amenity kit it should have been left on your seat. BTW speak to @simon wilson he is a master of getting into all lounges 😂
I was a marine engineer in the merchant navy with BP. Joined my first ship in Dubai in July 1978 after staying in a hotel for a week (the Ambassador Hotel which is still there but now 3*). The airport was big in those days even though the UAE had only been formed 7 years earlier. Flew into and out of the airport around 5 times but also stopped there twice on my way to joining a ship in Singapore. BP used Gulf air or British Airways although I did fly first class once with Lufthansa to join a ship in Gran Canaria on Christmas eve as it was the only flight available
Your criticisms of the inflight experience are absolutely hilarious. The quality and offering of Emirates Business class is absolutely miles ahead of the majority of other airlines. I feel they've almost reinvented it. "The food was better in first class": Of Course. "There experience was better in first class": You appreciate how ridiculous these comparisons are, right? Can't speak highly enough of what Emirates offer versus the competition
I suppose if I was super rich I would fly business class or first class, but not normal me. I've done normal economy on Emirates and I thought it was great- so why pay more.
was on Emirate business class on A380 from Dubai to Shanghai a few months ago. Impressed by the wine list and the food! The space and equipment are all really good to me (obviously, have not been in the first class before that!).
@@poppyland74 that doesn't make sense. I've been many times and it always has been busy, relaxed and mixture of different people enjoying their time there. No crime or idiots makes it even better. Tim was talking about the lounge (which was just quiet and not busy, hardly souless lol)
Hello, the cups in the business class toilet could be for bidet use after using the toilet. Use tissue to wipe then rinse with water from cup then wipe dry washed area with tissue again. Have the cup ready with water before you sit down to do your business though.

Having lived in Dubai for many years and I have been lucky enough to travel business on Emirates a few times, loved it! But you are correct about the cakes, we always found them quite tasteless even in the malls/ hotels, nice and light but just tasteless!
Hi Tim, try flying business class out of Terminal 3 at Heathrow, so that you can experience the Cathay Pacific Lounge, it's one of the best! You could just book a cheap intra-european club europe flight (circa £100 each way) with British Airways and that would allow you access, just make sure it's a BA flight that goes from T3. Love the videos!
Hi Tim, saw your video about the first class and now the business class. I think you should have started with business class then the first class. This way you can appreciate more the difference of the two classes. Last Sept 2023, I flew to Paris on A380 in business class. And now am looking forward to flying first class this coming May to New York on Emirates A380. Am so excited to this adventure.

Yes I do this flight often just went nz to Glasgow buisness class all the way on the new A380 it was amazing. ❤
Tim, always love your airport and flight videos especially when you do upper / first / business class. As always, fabulous video.
Glad you like them!
It's definitely worth it. So nice to sit in the onboard bar at 39,000 feet. The staff I experienced were super friendly.
Wow!
Airport is massive!
1780 Pounds!
I like the bar on the plane reminds me of the old days in the 747 upstairs..
@@gertjanvandermeij4265 [sigh]
Yes, I remember those days. Now I travel like cattle.
@@gertjanvandermeij4265 tell that to their atrocious quality inspection 💀
🤣They both make good planes.
@@GizzyDillespee nope, this ain't the early 2000s anymore. Just lookup the Boeing 737max for the latest news on their company
But Boeing have a habit falling out of the sky or having bits fall off.
I like the lounge. Yes it was quiet but it gives people a chance to sit down and chill or think of all the things you forgot to bring. Flying this year business class on Virgin Atlantic and can't wait. I read that the lounge at Heathrow is fantastic. Safe travels.
That airport looks like my worst nightmare!
I definitely get the 'hospital ICU' vibe 😂. Looks like they can do your blood pressure and put you on a drip 👍🏻😂
Lol
😂
Dubai is just a show-off museum for billionaire oil money.
I've done this on Emirates and loved it. Great seat, friendly FAs, good food, lounge access and limo pickup. Best part was the bar on the A380 - just socialise with other pax. You almost forget you're even flying...
Wow!
Piano 🎹
Got to be fit to use Dubai Airport! It’s massive!
But when you have done first class, It's quite the step down lol As this man found out.
Cream tea in the air , sounds good to me .
It was probably the best I've had

Thanks 👍
Will try this, nice one 👍
But when you don't get the email from them and its full, you are sat there in economy
travelling to the Far East asking yourself why why why did I not just book BC.
😀 Ask me how I know.
We just come back from Dubai, and been a few times and booked economy , we tend to find heading to Dubai, BC always full, but you are correct, we when flew back and checked online 48hrs before hand there was at least 10 BC available at a price of £990ea me and my wife I was so tempted, as it was around £1900ea, However even at £990 just couldn’t do it for a 7 hr flight,
Thanks for the tip
@@marks7471 I get you it is a risk of course , but seems to work for me on the 9:10 morning flights from LHR as it’s might be because it’s more expensive EC as it’s the earliest you can leave , its probably harder on afternoon or evening flights departures
I started watching your work fee weeks ago n loving the way you do the details..I'm hooked now.thanks for
My favourite is when Tim says "cup a tea" or coffee" then takes a sip. Love it 😂
Just needs to do "the slurp" followed by ahh! that's good
We flew Business Class, a few years ago on A380. Lots of babies in cabin. Bar was like a nursery.
The plane ride looks fairly cozy there.
Kicked back with a drink & a good movie.
That's not a bad way to travel.
I'm flying to Thailand biz class with them in the summer, so this will be interesting to see
Your shared experience and information was very interesting.
Me and my partner loveee watching your videos! You are our comfort creator
Both your 1st and Business Class videos made me so hungry.......thanks a lot !😋
I know so much food
I love the airport and flight videos. Dubai is massive and beautiful. I couldn’t believe how quiet it was.
Absolutely spot on 💯 Tim. Soulless lounge foid not amazing restricted seats. You hit the nail on the spot. First class comes top with everything
The hospital bedside looking thingy… i cant un-see it now!
I was enjoying the video so much, I was sad when it was over! Great review!
Look out for Sunday 😁
i enjoy living through your videos with all these experiences. great vid tim! thanks for taking us along :)
With all them sockets and small bed it looked like an ambulance
Just needs some hooks for the wine IV bags. 🤣🤣
Sleeping like Count Dracula, Tim was 😀
....but with added plastic fake wood panels, which look very cheap and tacky.
literally what he said
@@pffyespfflooks fake, is real though
Loved this tripreport. Food was lovely.
Hello TIm, loving your videos. Always look forward to the cost at the end. It might help to equally state the cost of a regular/economy ticket for comparison. Cheers.
I have flown Emirates business class 3 times to and from Dubai from London. Always found them very good, the lounge is huge.
Thanks for your honest review. The cream tea looked lovely 😊
My pleasure 😊
I am so enjoying your videos, love sharing your joy in certain things & disappointment if things are a bit grubby. Thanks Tim.
I love your comments. Very useful for someone who hasn't traveled but is planning to do traveling soon. Thank you.
You should have been arrested you committed a very very serious crime JAM FIRST THEN CREAM sorry couldn't resist 😂😂
I thought the same thing 🙂
How do you even put cream on first? Bonkers
I always ask for a butter portion - then I can do butter, jam and cream on top!!!! Theres no right or wrong way just YOUR way!!
Must have butter under the jam!!@@markjohnson182
Does it really matter? Still tastes the same 😂
I love Emirates. My favorite Airline. Will be traveling to Dubai in June.
Great vlog Tim 👍 You needed 2 hours to get to the right gate!! 😂
Amenity kits are not available on day flights... Only flights which travel overnight
Curious to find out what differences there is between Business & First class on Emirates.
Great video! Fabulous commentary and all very educational. Excellent work bro! The 1st class trip sure topped that one.
Hi Tim, out of curiosity, do you have a paid sponsorship with Hollister?
Hi tim I did fly first with my mum and it was the best birthday present for her . Yes it is a Lot of money but well worth it.
Tim is definitely not a plane Spotter. You don't play music over the engines roaring down the runway and lift off.
Thank you do much for showing us this impressive airport..
Can't speak highly enough of what Emirates offer versus the competition
i’ve only travelled business class on Singapore airlines from heathrow and back that was really good
I suppose if I was super rich I would fly business class or first class, but not normal me. I've done normal economy on Emirates and I thought it was great- so why pay more.
Is it better than economy on other quality airlines?
@@pran8145 really you know my life ? You don't.
was on Emirate business class on A380 from Dubai to Shanghai a few months ago. Impressed by the wine list and the food! The space and equipment are all really good to me (obviously, have not been in the first class before that!).
1500 watching less than 400 likes. Smash like everyone. Adorable channel and family
I love your content, you talk about everything in details
The description of the "soulless" Dubai business lounge could also be said for the rest of Dubai
Not really, Dubai is really vibrant
@@olbapoli4074 Sure but a superficial kind of vibrant. Hence soulless.
I'll try cstch it, but can watch it later if i don't thanks Tim loving all these vlogs, keep them coming, hope youre well 😊xx

Hiya Tim, wow that airport is huge, we are hoping to go to Dubai next year. It looked a bit small in your seat in business class . The food looks good. I like afternoon tea. And noticed the little bird flying around in the business lounge. I prefer to fly Manchester airport as it is closer for me.been once to Heathrow airport coming back from Florida . I'm surprised you didn't get an amenity kit especially when you paid a lot of money for your business class seat, thanks for sharing.have a lovely weekend.
Dont you newer get bored to travel around all the time and (almost) never be home?
I travel abroad maximum 1 times a year because i really love my home.
Right now i’m lying down in my supercomfortable guestbed and watching your video on a 110” 4k Elite screen and enjoying the life.
Well anyway, another good video from you, and i wish you and your wife (and Casper) a nice weekend.
Still well outside of my price range but good to see how the experience differs from us economy plebs! Great video, Tim.
You looked a bit dejected at the end of the video, you have the right to be in Business Class the same as anyone else, the staff look for their favourite passenger's by the looks, your money is as good as anyone else's Tim.
Having lived in Dubai for many years and I have been lucky enough to travel business on Emirates a few times, loved it! But you are correct about the cakes, we always found them quite tasteless even in the malls/ hotels, nice and light but just tasteless!

HAHA
thank you for your honest review as always ! you are such a nice person!
Flying with Emirates next April. Upgraded to business class for both flights.
Hey Tim really interesting your video I think the airport was very clerical and not really inviting but thank you for sharing hope you had a great stay ❤
Thanks for watching
A great honest review Tim.
Just what I needed.
Thank you 🤓❤
Your right about the Lounge, loads of better places to eat and drink in Dubai Airport
