I have driven these cars most of my driving years and it's a totally different experience compared to the newer cars of today ( 2023 ) . I would take these oldies in a heartbeat .
Pobrecito Buick estaba solo abandonado y falto de cariño. En cuanto se lavó quedó como nuevo ojalá hubieran muchas personas así que salven y rescaten autos.
My late aunt and uncle always had a buick model, up until 1994 they had a marina blue '78 lesabre 4-door that probably had less than 40,000 miles on it.
My dad bought this same car new in 1978 but in brown in and out. The 231V6 is WAY underpowered for that size of car. My mom refused to drive it because it was too slow. He had the converter removed which helped some with the power. While you were driving it was like hitting the turbo boost when the AC compressor cut off.
These late 70's-mid 80's full size cars are getting popular as a donors for Hot Rod Frame swaps because they are full framed, more often than not have a small block V8 and they are dirt cheap. I'm in the process of putting a 53 Olds Holiday Coupe on a 1980 Delta 88 frame. Why? because it was cheap.... I paid $1200 for the 53 olds and I paid $200 for the Delta, the Delta's 307 runs and will move under it's own power, plus I can part out the parts that are still salvagable so another car or 2 or 3 can live, it's a win-win-win, maybe a win-win-win-win-win-win-win by the time I sell all the parts.
I had a 77 lesabre very similar to that was a very nice riding car
