There's something very satisfying about seeing that old and abandoned vehicles coming back to life, I discovered your channel a little while ago and already saw all videos, keep it up man, love your content
Me to, my grandpa bought a 1977 dodge power wagon w200 7-8 years ago for 500$ and drive it home. It had surface rust and a rust hole in the floorboard with 84k miles on it. He changed the fuel tank, carburetor, fuel pump, and it runs AMAZING now. He gave me the truck last year so I brought it to my house sanded it down, and painted it black. It doesnt look like the best paint job, but it's better than it was. And I personally am very happy with the truck.
He has the camera on a tripod pointing at the car approaching, then he lifts it off and keeps on filming without any jitter, super smooth, masterly done. And it's not like he can have done multiple takes on a car that is barely working!
This is a little trippy to me, I remember very well going to the Chevrolet dealership in 1981 with my parents to buy a new car. I was 11, trucks just like this one lined up on the lot brand new. And now, they are sought after classics and some are derelicts like this one disintegrating in a field. I am old, man.
Love your channel dude. Hilarious how persistent you are to get some of these old wrecks running. Btw that Bavaria you had a few episodes ago may be worth something.
Thank you I didn’t know if it was worth much probably going to get it where it drives and stops and put a turbo on it seems like a fun car to keep around
Man I had one of those awhile back I bought for 500 bucks (No bumpers, no seat, no tailgate, no problem). 75 bucks and a trip to auto salvage and a 6 pack to a uncle with free time and I had one hell of a road runner. The best part of my day was looking in the lkq book all day to see what I needed lol
this video makes me feel a lot better about my truck. i inherited my grandpas old 86 c10 just like this one but red. it had been sitting up for several years before i got it. slowly working on it to get it running now
Why do I find these episodes so satisfying knowing nothing about car mechanics? I enjoy the moment when I even seem to understand at least part of what he's explaining/doing, which sure enough it's just an illusion, but it works for me!
I love your place. Everything so nice and tidy. I bet the people in your neighborhood are proud as a pickle to have you for a neighbor. Keep up the good work.
Love these old classics I use to own a 1980 Chevy Silverado with the 4.1l inline six 250CI it sure had the power for a inline straight six that's a 2WD 3 speed manual 3 on the tree
I got an 1988 chevy pickup I bought from a farmer and worked on it enough to get it back on the road. I love those old chevy trucks. Great job getting your truck up and running.
I had a number of the old chev's and GMC. Those where great trucks hope you keep it and drive it I know I would. Great job on all the work you do to bring that history to life and not destroy it.
I can't undertand a word of this man's language, but I like to watch him yabber on while he fiddles with old vehicles until they start working again, Great Job!
The oldest that truck could be is a 1981. The 1980 C-10 has a grille similar to the '73-'79, but with headlights that were slightly more square. In that regard, the 1980 C-10 was a one-off model.
I also have one myself 1981 been setting in my parents back yard 12 years now just got had it in the paint shop and mechanic shop just got it out the shop last week Wednesday
I have watched several of your vids and love them all. I especially liked this one as I had an 80 model swb that I drove to work and back for many years. Keep 'em coming!
One thing I've thought of while watching a lot of your videos where the vehicles have something that isn't frozen/seized up or in "better" condition than it should be otherwise, is kids and young teens periodically playing in them trying to crank them over, mashin' brake, gas peddles etc. I spent a lot of my childhood summers staying with my mom on the families old farm property and doing those same things with old forgotten vehicles in the woods with that childhood hope of being able to drive them, being young. Just a nostalgic thought, I know there are innumerable factors but you never know, that could one of them.
Seems like there should have been a lot more oil inside that valve cover; it was practically dry. Maybe that’s related to the lifter problem? Good job getting her running.
I came across your channel recently and I'm amazed with how you can get these old beauties running again! I look forward to seeing more of your work! I love seeing old cars run again, you're doing a great job bud!
@@morganevans7269 Absolutely. But some of his are in REALLY bad shape, like the Starliner. Ya MIGHT get em to START, but they'll never be a roadworthy vehicle again. And that's ok. Yard art!
Dude I love how that sounds with the messed up exhaust. Sounds awesome still lol. I’m definitely subscribing to this channel. Only channel that actually shows them and gets them running, plus you can actually see what’s going on unlike other peoples videos
That old square body Chevy truck is a highly desirable model for truck enthusiasts. I'd hate to see it not get rescued, would be a nice truck with some TLC.
Amazing how you get these ole motors working. Do you ever restore any of them . As it would be great to see a full restoration project. Love your channel. All the best from here in the uk 👍🏻
The packrats probably ran out of lifespan trying to fix the engine. It happens easily when you only live a couple of years. They did try their best, though. Probably.
I’m not sure why but early 1980s Chevy trucks like this on my top 10 list when it comes to pick up trucks Man I wish they would reproduce trucks like this.
That was one of the dirtiest vehicles I have ever seen, I wouldn’t have gone near that cab. But you have managed to give it some love an it came back to life. Amazing. You are a vehicular miracle doctor, lol
I got a 78 C20 Squarebody, in red. The 350 is blown, but I only paid 200 for the whole truck. And it came with an Edelbrock intake & carb, a brand new gas tank, and 3 real good tires!
"But I guess rat was trying to start her up, to see what spark plug's rotten" got me laughing hahaha, he's a true car mechanic with enthusiasm, that's what I like, he makes things work 👍
Just stumbled by your videos! All i can say is so glad someone else is getting these things going again! Quick question though any of those cabs for sale possible a 37 chevy or ford?
I had that exact truck. chopped and made a short bed, Put a 350 Oldsmobile Rocket. and Eagle mags. Bright red people were always trying to buy it. it was a sweet ride.
Thank you for the leaf blower inverter and the remote starter switch they are going to come in handy getting all these old cars running again Thanks again very much appreciate it
Lol the optional 4 cylinder to save half the gas. I love these videos and the way he thinks of things is funny how he sees the funnier side of things lol

Something about the charm of old Square bodies i just can't deny. Whether you are a chevy man, ford, gmc, or dodge, you appreciate the look of all square bodied rides.
Are u really gonna not continue working on the 29 GMC and get it driving and fixed up again? I think most people are really wanting you to focus on that, because that's quite rare a truck that sits that long fires up again. I suggest you focus more on that. I think the views speak for themselves.
I am going to get it driving waiting on parts video should be up next week going to fix the cab and hopefully find a set of tires I have gotten the brakes mostly working

The fact that you’re perfecting someone’s work that was done 10-20 years before you were even born is truly breathtaking.
I love seeing an old beast come back to life. Driving out of its grave under it's own power.👍
