Heck in California we can’t even get the cops to show up when someone is blatantly shoplifting a couple thousand dollars.
They show up to hassle a drone operator that's how it works.
Take it from an actual certified police officer in S.Florida We have no interest in chasing drone pilots around. We have plenty to keep us busy and that's not one on the list.
The FAA's mission statement should be changed to: "Do as we say, not as we do -- be prepared"
The FAA is trying to follow the directives of the law makers! It's like when stupid lawmakers make stupid laws then blame it on "Government"! All too often lawmakers use "GOVERNMENT" to shield them from their own stupid and downright controversial legislation!
I’m pretty sure that is our government’s motto lol
Took your advise a few years ago and printed out a "who am I and what am I doing here" conversation starter sheet, took five minutes and has saved me hours. Keep it on my flight/maintenance log and just hand it to people when they hassle me.
if its public info, it should be a two way street. If someone is "pinging me" and knows everything about me I.E Local, equipment, and so on - I want to know who's looking at me and there location as well. If something is ever a problem, will demand to know the "interested" party before any info is passed or cooperation gained. Its a two way street when Karens get involved.
That's a really good point and I agree!! If they get to know where I am I get to know where they are!
Har har wishful thinking
I read in a DJI forum that most of Dji’s previous models will be made remote ID compliant via software update by the September deadline
Russ, I love and respect your content, but I have to be honest here and the rest of the viewers.
All that about the FAA delaying the remote ID date? Is a lie. In fact, you should call them or write them a little letter. That's what another RUclipsr did and the FAA responded with a letter said that date is still in affect.
So, I don't know where are these people getting that idea, but yeah. I would double check with the FAA.
I personally don't because I could care less about remote ID. It doesn't scare me because the truth is, the only people that knows about remote ID is the FAA and everyone else in the hobby.
Thanks for sharing Russ. 👍👍👍
Yes, I saw Tim's video. The statement was that they are taking everything into consideration, and it implied that there would be a grace period, so "postponed" may be the incorrect term. Enforcement may be postponed would be a better statement.
No info and a bunch of ads. Well done.
Thanks! Appreciate you!
ARGH! Three weeks ago, I contacted FAA and explained that I could not get a module before the deadline and that the firmware update for my Mavic 2 Pro would not be available until the end of the year. FAA replied saying there would be no delay of implementation or grace period for RID. I sold my M2P and bought a DJI Air3. Oh well, now I am compliant. As for sub 250g drones, they still need to be RID compliant if they are flying commercially.
I have my Mini Pro 3 and Evo Nano Plus all gassed up and ready to fly! 🤣. I am not a professional photographer or video creator so what video I get from these drones is fine with me. Recreational flyer all the way!!
Thanks Russ for always keeping us in the loop with the latest news.
Love the content. Keep it coming. My question to the FAA & the sole arguement for non compliance is that when a drone crashes from the sky and hurts somebody because of the added payload, who is going to be liable? If the module is not installed by a manufacurer with proper engineering, why would the consumer be requireed to make the change and accept responsiblity?
Auto makers are required to do recalls when there are faulty or needed upgrades which are subjet to changes in regulations. Unless the manufacture recalls my drones, not changing a thing. Not worth a lawsuite.
FYI, Tim McKay just received email from FAA support. All they said was that they are aware of the situation and are considering options. It might be a bit premature to suggest that it might be postponed. Even if they postpone it, how long. 2 months, 3 months. It is still coming.
I’m new to flying a drone. My honest opinion, rid means nothing to me if i’m following the law the faa requires me to follow. States, cities, etc. for the most part, as long as i’m abiding by what’s required of me by the faa i fly as i want to, i don’t care how they feel.
Oh man,
I haven’t visited this channel since I was training for my part 107. Now I’m back panicking with this new regulation. It’s great to be back in the drone family
RID is a large bucket of unintended consequences. Rules that can’t be effectively policed always end up creating chaos. I wonder if the FAA is currently sitting at the table pondering the unnecessary work load coming their way if this goes forward.
There's a big misunderstanding here. The problem is not how to be compliant with remote id. The problem is how to make sure we don't fly anything with remote id. If DJI and others are installing remote id on their sub 250g drones you will have the same problem as you have with any other remote id drone.
New mini 3 and mini 3 pro’s are made with RID per a DJI press release. It may not show up on a scanning app right now, but all it takes is an update and then RID is enabled, even if it’s under 249g. One could speculate DJI is manufacturing all new models with RID, regardless of weight, because they foresee RID being expanded to all aircraft
The Mini 3 Pro I have is actively transmitting as is my Air 2S. The Air 2S wasn't transmitting until the last update. Using an older Android phone and a Karen app, the range is pretty much like Russ described. I flew it back and forth between the north property line and the south property line (650 feet) at various altitudes and stood about 50 feet from the flight path and the detection was pretty much a hit or miss proposition.
Thanks for your help, Russ. I've been looking at Drone Pilot School for awhile now, and with the steep discounts offered through Labor Day, they will be gaining a new student soon and it will be great for me to learn new skills soon. I'm retired and looking forward to flying my Mavic Mini 3 Pro recreationally only, but maybe I can offer my services to those less fortunate who need some footage for their businesses. I like the idea of presenting a professional image to anyone approaching. I'll also be subscribing to one of your channel services to get the advantage of those excellent documents and other services you offer. Mostly, I wanted to let you know what an excellent job you are doing for all us less knowledgeable and how much I appreciate your great videos!
Agree completely on all counts, Russ and @ccourtnier. I too have been looking at becoming a licensed *and professional* drone pilot for some time now, and the Drone Pilot School discount has pushed me to get out of my comfort zone and do this! During the Pandemic, the FAA testing sites were shuttered, so I would have to take my test in an isolated room with zero distractions, and be able to show the online proctor around the room with my laptop's camera... Just not possible in a 4-room 2 bedroom apartment, unless I was sitting on the toilet! Now, post-Pandemic, there's a new testing center only 90 minutes from home... score! I have already prepared a pre-operations checklist, settled on a business name, researched website domains and logo designs, et cetera. Just needed to hear about the latest FAA Remote ID news, and then this discount, to get me to move forward. Thanks again Russ!
@@aureaphilos..ONLY “90 minutes”? An HOUR and a half..from home. I debated it too, going Part 107..THEN the FAA started pumping out their chest and REQUIRING MORE and more Rules & Regulations beyond Registration, etc. Just got tired of the whole hot mess! ALWAYS a more money, not to mention I ALSO live in a rural area..CENTRAL Texas. Always a drive to get ‘somewhere’ of significance, like a “testing” location. I’ve decide I’m REAL happy being a Recreational/Hobbyist drone pilot!
Getting ready for my part 107 exam. Did a popular noted course but missed my first exam by just one question. One thing I’m utilizing is the King’s School practice exams, doing 60 questions and getting between 80 to 95 percent passing. The course I signed up for is good but it’s not covering a more complete airport operations section for the exam.

You mean.. “upload on them” .. right.? 🗣️⚡️🚫⁉️⚡️🚁
You are absolutely correct, RID will cause issues for every drone user
I mounted an arctic spider 3 laser pointer onto my drone. A motor attached to the button on the laser turns it on and off and I rc that motor. My laser causes things to catch fire...
Russ, thanks for the recommendations (and reasons) to get Part 107 certified. I had gone back and forth about that for 2-3 years, but your reasons here really made sense to me. I'm working through Part 107 training now (though i actually went with Pilot Institute for several reasons), and have scheduled a test appointment for 4 Nov with the testing center (to keep me focused on the goal).
If this is true awesome, I am not ready, and I am sure I am not the only one. However, I thought the FAA had already confirmed that the article that was circulating was fake and the remote id was still on track for Sep 16th. Fingers crossed though, I would definitely love some more time. 100% broadcast modules are way too expensive. There are too few companies making them so demand is outpacing supply, which is also drives up prices as well.
I do think it reasonable to allow individual controlled airspace airports to decide for their airspace as to whether RID or ADSB is a prerequisite to even request LAANC authorization for flight, and basically just drop RID requirement for UAV flight in G class airspace. Then FAA personnel can focus on enforcement where it actually matters, and in the area those FAA personnel are actually in to even be able to enforce such rules.
That would be amazing if it was that easy. Require it for controlled airspace, bvlos, or other restricted flying but open class airspace just leave it alone
I wear my part 107 around my neck with a lanyard works every time
What is the ultimate purpose of remote ID? Who does it benefit? Who does it protect? What is the practical range? These are the salient questions. Are these simply more policy decisions or real safety concerns?
The purpose is to allow Amazon and other commercial entities the ability to do drone deliveries and other commercial uses. If the drone broadcasts RID the commercial drone will be able to see it and avoid it. Not the official reason, but my best guess.
@@frankmoreau8847maybe closer to the mark. With all the "worries" about 107 certified PICs, can you imagine a sky full of Amazon and UPS drones?
I really need to start a drone business. I just don’t know where to start. I always appreciate your knowledge sharing!
I am a recreational Mini 2 pilot. (Mini 2 Bob's) on RUclips. I appreciate all of your info. I was worried that I was going to have to buy a module which I couldn't cost justify being a purely hobby flyer. All of a sudden my Mini 2 is gold. I'm pleased that it looks like the implementation will be delayed.
My mini 2 is still the champ🎉
Awhile back the FAA required all RC flyers to obtain a registration number. We did and we put it on our flying machines even our foamies. What positive/safety results does the FAA have that resulted from this action? Has RC flying been made safer? How do we know?
of course it hasn't and they can't prove that it had any positive effect. Just more government overreach. Tell you what show me where agencies are listed in the Constitution, they are all illegal already and should be busted up.
I am not sure why folks are slamming the original Mavic Mini but I still fly mine and like it very much. Does the job. I have not found any major cons. Any thoughts? Always a pleasure watching your vids Russ.
so the FAA is in fact in the same boat as they are with ADSB for aircraft - years and years behind as people won't shell out 1000s to install the equipment
Mini 3 Pro is already RID compliant and likely broadcasting. The Mini 2 at least is not RID compatible.
I have an idea. DO NOT COMPLY. Problem solved.
Some of us fly commercially and want to keep my ticket. Non compliance isn’t really an option
You can't run any serious business if you have to depend on FAA 😝
🤦🏻♂️ some people don’t have a choice. DJI drones you can’t even take off unless you are running old firmware
Fantastic! I understand things a lot better now. Thanks for making the video!
DJI told me my Mavic Air 2 will have a firmware upgrade to turn on Remote ID. We will see if that is true. I have my doubts. Nothing yet on their website.
And you trusted a Chinese company? Laughable.
It is on the website. The predicted date for the Air 2 (I have one) firmware with RID is September 30.
Thanks for the info will check it out.@@joeflyer1
@joeflyer1 I have one too. It's good to know because I just stopped updating both the app and drones fW. It's not like the updates have added any functionality
If the range of the transmitted ID data is limited, what’s the point? For ID purposes on sub 0.55LB drones, recreational use, I would think a printed SN or such taped onto the body of the drone would suffice. It would be lightweight, not use power, and would be observable by anyone if the drone got too close. It certainly could be photographed. Thoughts??
My biggest gripe with the mini 3 pro is you can’t turn RID off if you decide to fly recreational under 250g.
I have heard different things about this. I have heard there was a switch, that once turned on, couldn't be turned off. I also heard it was tied to whether you registered the drone and entered the registration info into the drone. I saw a comment on the dii forum supposedly from a dji rep that if you're in the US, it's going to broadcast rid, but in the case of an unregistered drone, it would only broadcast the drone serial number as that all it has, but nothing to tie the drone back to an owner. Are you confirming, from your experience, if you own one, that out of the box, unregistered or not, it's going to broadcast RID?
the $50 RID module suggested by the FAA is more like $125.00
69.99 at HH !!not available
hopefully that module is under 0.9 grams :P
My MIni 3 has Remote Id on it. One of the updates turned it on. It doesn't seem to work right, comes up with a error. But luckily it doesn't disable the drone from flying. I was thinking they put on for the part 107 people. But I agree with the other comments, I would imagine all drones will be treated the same regardless of the size in time.
The thing about 250 is that you have to exceed it to comply with the night flying rules. My Mini 2 with a Firehouse ARC-V exceeds 250
What are the options for flying a non RID drone without buying an external module?
I won't need a 107 license to tell a lay-person that I have an FAA certified license. The recreational trust license is enough. The 107 license requires you to register all of your aircraft and have standard remote ID. If you've built a quad of your own recently, can you tell us how you made it compliant to use for 107? A module is not going to do it.
The Part 107 license makes you look legit, people will believe everything you say after you show them the license lol.
Honestly, that’s the only benefit sometimes. 😆 Shutting down the Karen’s.
FAA doesn't want to roll out RID because they don't have all their ducks in a row. Thereby a slew of lawsuits. It's not a big deal to be either way.
It is a nightmare for the FAA to even try and keep track of all the hobby drones. I remember when they were RC aircraft, back before quadcopters. Heck I remember tethered aircraft we flew in circles and even kite dueling; gads I'm OLD. I do have a Mini 2 along with several others and do have a PT 107 license. The way I understand it is if you fly with the "intent" to take a picture or video of a particular event or landscape then you need a 107 certificate. That's addressed in my pre-flight under "Purpose of the Flight". Sometimes my purpose is merely Practice and I may of may not utilize the camera so that doesn't trigger the 107 compliance requirement. There are a lot of "grey" lines of rule interpretation so I got the 107 to eliminate the controversy and be a better drone pilot.
Thanks for the update info Russ. Will be looking forward to what the FAA does within the next few days. Hopefully a push back/delay. Appreciate the tip on the under 250; already have a Nano+, which gives some decent video imagery.
Cheers....
I am willing to comply with RID but buying a 150 or more module for a drone that isn't worth much more than the cost of the module doesn't make sense so while I don't have an issue with RID as a concept it doesn't make sense for an older drone.
I wanted to purchase DJI Mini 4 pro before end of the year, but now I think don't make sense anymore, because would need to be register anyway even if is under 250 g in weight. Same goes for Mini 3 pro.
Joined your monthly area, I can’t seem to find the form you hand out when you’re flying.
Thank you!
It’s there. 🤷🏻♂️. Scroll down a bit perhaps?
Also, if you own a current model DJI drone it ALREADY has remote ID up and running in all its models when in the USA, whether the FAA delays its enforcement or not. geesh.
The fact that the RID does not extend very far really makes less sense that the FAA has made this a requirement. There is better scanners that high-value sites such as airport, critical infrastructure, and military bases that is available can deploy and have deployed to catch anyone who violates drone rules. IMO.
They want Karen's to harass innocent pilots into giving up the hobby. Aka RID the airspace of drones. I wont give them the satisfaction
I commented before I finished watching your video...Thanks for the info on the capabilities of IPhone and Android...I wondered about that...Thanks again
Russ, thank you very much for the updated remote ID information. Also, thank you for providing your information sheet that you handout to those noisy pests. I’m going to convert it into a .pdf form for ease of use. As alway, thank you for your informative videos🙏🙏.
Heard this from Ken Heron, and now I hear it from you. I've been hearing this from my contacts too (off the record).
Yippy! I am so relieved. I love to fly fly fly!
Seeing RID detection ranges from less than 400 feet to over 6000. Choose wisely.
I think you're a little off on how remote ID works - your phone doesn't broadcast the ID. Your RID device (Which will be on the drone) is what broadcasts your remote ID from your drone. The range of these RID devices is limited - mostly less than a mile and a half. I agree with you that this limited range will lessen any negative interactions.
I know how it works. The issue is with the apps on peoples phones. A person carrying an IPhone will need to be very close to receive the signal from the drone.
@@51Drones Why does that matter? It has nothing to do with being compliant.
Nothing. I feel like we are arguing for no reason. All I'm saying is I am aware that the signal is transmitted from the drone and not your phone. Not sure why you interpreted that I thought otherwise. Also, the longest range any existing module has reached is 5000 feet, tested by Pilot Institute in their most recent video.@@steveborghardt
Law enforcement in my City didn't even know what RID is and could care less about it just as long as you fly responsibly
QUESTIONS...Thank you for making drone piloting easier for beginners. I have a Mini 3 Pro and have been practicing for a trip to New Mexico. I have the B4UFLY mobile app and have checked out places where I would like to capture some aerial images. My FIRST question is: Can I rely on the app for accurate information? If it says "Clear for Takeoff", is it really okay to fly there? AND Can I take off and land in an appropriate area but fly over an area that does not allow take offs and landings as long as the drone is in sight?
Wow, awesome news. FAA r gr8 in2 safety consideration, but not ready 4 widespread deadlines. Thx 4 sharing on Utube.
If the Mini 3 Pro is being flown Under Part 107, it does need to be registered. Any sub 250 drone, flown under Part 107_no matter the weight_needs to be registered. If being flown under recreational, it doesn't.
I been flying commercially for about a year now and I have been approached numerous time. But not once hostile, everyone was always "thats so cool" or were curious.
I can't speak for all DJI Mini 3 Pros, but the one I got about 2 months ago has RemoteID built in.
Both of the Mini 3 models have built in RID and are FAA compliant because of the availability of the Plus battery that puts them over 250g.
Is there a way to undo remote ID on my Mini 3 Pro?
Thanks for the great content, Russ!
I'm not sure it's such a good idea to get the certification. I only have one drone that I don't use for income but I have a lot of RC planes. I understand that if I get certified that I have to register each aircraft, even the recreational RC planes. If I don't get certified, I only need one registration to cover everything. Is this not correct?
To the best of my knowledge your statement is correct
Thanks, Russ…always great info. I think people are listing their Mini 3 Pro’s with the hopes of still getting some money back to purchase a Mini 4 or Mini 4 Pro….just a thought. I’m still rocking my Mavic Air 2….and still waiting on my RID module.
What a great video. So much helpful info man. Thank you 🙏
Hey Russ Thank you for the video. I had to sell my Mavic Air 2 well one reason I had to. I do plan on getting my part 107 need to gain confidence. I fly recreational but what you say about certification is true. Any word on the DJI ban bill? It's worrisome too. Again thanks Russ.
Been flying since 1976. I really don't care about this BS. Put me in jail for non-compliance. I have 40 acres to fly on. This whole idea and applying it to recreational flying is pure crap!
My question as a part 107 holder…how is recreational and professional classified for us. If I fly a sub250 just for fun, does that count as recreational? Or do I just never have the sub250 option for recreational flights since I’m licensed?
Nvm, you answered it right after I finished my comment 😂
I've got my mini pro 3, and the air 3. Maybe I should consider a part 107. Even if I do it recreational.
I have a question for US 107 pilots. As a Canadian Paraglider pilot, I need a HAGAR endorsement to use a radio capable of monitoring and communicating with airports and aircraft. I'm also a certified drone pilot but not in the advanced category (large commercial drones).Do you need a similar endorsement in the US if you are using a radio for advanced operations?.
Are you talking about using a radio to talk to planes and control towers while using your drone? Also what qualifies as advanced operation? Part 107 Remote Pilots can operate up to 55lb drone, above that a waiver is needed. As for operating a communications radio my understanding is any aircraft radio operated outside of an aircraft needs a license to transmit.
@justplanefred I am in Canada. You cannot legally operate vhf or uhf without a license and call sign. Advanced operations are anything in controlled airspace or anything in uncontrolled that involves proximity to people or infrastructure. Microdrones are a different story and legal regime.
Hey Russ my friend, what is the least expensive remote I’d that I can use that can switch b/t my Mini 2 and Inspire 1 Pro. I’m Part 107 as I use for my home inspection biz
Thanks so much for all the info
Yeah Ross, what about the ‘U.S. gov banning DJI” specifically..as to doing business WITHIN the country? I had heard it ONLY affected them..not like Autel. Great vid man..as always.
Personally, I'm waiting on the work-around or mod. You know they're coming.
Yep. There’s ALWAYS a way around. 🤔
I’m waiting too.
So I have a new DJI FPV and today I went out to fly (9-3-2023) and got the REMOTE ID message on my goggles and could not fly. I have flown here in the recent past. What should my first or next course of action be? I have done a little research when I first heard about this remote id thing but was under the impression that the new drones come with all the newly required hardware and I wouldn't have to do anything being a recreational flyer. I only fly for fun but is it a weight problem? Do I need, as you suggested, to get my 107 before flying again? I'm in Northern California. Thanks in advance.
Thanks much Russ! We love the way you think! ;-) T
I was ignoring the lead up to the rollout of RID as long as possible, 2 questions 1 older and 1 newer.
1. Do you recall a time when there was talk about RID requiring a connection to a third party site and a constant streaming of feed? If so what happened to that?
2. Has the FAA clarified if the data transmitted by the modules that we can't find or afford was going to be your takeoff point or current location?
Thank you
FAA, still has question #1 in it's plans to enforce still right now the guidance says "Not at this time". They plan to slowly enforce updates to RID rules.......
@@AlpineHiker seems like yet another huge overreach by a federal agency...
So I have a DJI Mini SE and I ended up registering it because I added a mini safety strobe which brought it over the 249g. Do I now need to get a remote ID attached to it because I registered my drone? I was new and just wanted to comply with all the rules. I do not want to buy a remote tag that costs the same price as the drone…thanks!
Will even the DJI Mini 3 Pro broadcast RID info with the latest SW/Firmware update?
Thanks for the videos Russ, I’m fairly new to drones just want to know will remote ID be a firmware update on newer drones and the add on modules just be needed for drones that are older and not be updated by manufacturers?? Thanks in advance
The solution is simple, DO NOT fly near people and there will not be any issues. Of course, it is always good to also comply with the FAA regulations, particularly flying within Visual Line Of Sight, Not flying over gatherings of people or trains, don't fly over traffic, and a host of other things. Yeah, don't hover over my house either (had this happen once). So just not being a D!CK whether it is legal or not is just good common sense. If you don't want to get harassed, then don't do things that irritate people.
What about park flyers? I have two micro airplanes, a P51 and an S.E.5A. They are way too small to carry any kind of added module. They weigh less than 1 ounce. They can only be flown by line of sight visual observation. I never fly them ore than about 100 feet from myself or more than 100ft high.
How would the FFA know that you are flying in air space that requires authorization like in class D ?
What do you hand them when you say please read this?
Do you have something we can print out?
Love the channel.. I'm really on the fence of getting a license and you my friend are pushing me on the side of getting one. So i probably will this winter when i have less outdoor activities going on. THANKS!
Thanks for the update, do you know if I can fly my sub 250g drone recreationally without remote ID if I have registered it under my Part 107? or will I have to unregister and re-register as non commercial?
I am trying to verify this, but I am almost certain the drone would need to be unregistered as a commercial use drone.
@@51Drones that’s what I thought also, but was hoping anyway, let me know if you find out otherwise. Thanks again for your help!!
Good Advice. Also, someone mentioned that Remote ID would have "crowdsourcing". Sounds like a good idea to me. Snag the info from RID, add a comment, send it directly to the FAA for investigation. Go any thoughts or comments on that?
Australia awaiting for FAA final outcome. Drones of this kind has never caused any death and destruction like they are so worried about. Maybe the court are the place to fight this, get FAA to present proof of their fears, they have nothing.
If you have your 107 do you have to register your sub-250g drone?
As usual there are pilots commenting on a few sites about giving out information which hasn’t been confirmed. This may be some rumors or speculation based on your connections but at this point but I believe it is true for several reason of which some you mentioned. There are a couple reason why I believe it will be delayed. I just try to use common sense and and deductive reasoning and my two reasons make sense to me. Anyway, enjoy and fly on my friends.
1- My Air 3 has RFID and it is enabled and working as indicated in my Airdata log on take-off. However, it is still not listed as approved in the FAA’s Declaration of Compliance. I’m not grounding my drone in 10 days just just because the FAA hasn’t been able to add it yet.
2- According to the actual DJI RFFD statement on 07/01/2023, my MA2 among several others will have a firmware/ software update to get it compliant. However, the MA2 it is slated to be completed no later than 09/30/2023 and some others won’t be updated until maybe December so well after the deadline. Even if my MA2 is updated by 09/16/2023 I doubt it will be added to the FAA Declaration of Compliance since my Air 3 isn’t approved yet and it has been out for awhile now.
My DJI drones like the Air 2s mini 3 pro and mini 3 already have it. Even though it’s not required since I am not flying under part 107. But my FPV drone is not compliant. But the problem is I can’t afford the module. I paid a little over 300 for the drone I can’t pay 300 for the module. I will be compliant with my DJI drones but not with my FPV drones. I am still flying my FPV drone regardless
Your fpv was never even faa compliant since it's impossible for fpv to be Los to the pilot
Greg Reverdiau says he has heard nothing about a postponement.
So I think I’ve completely misunderstood this requirement. My DJI mini 2 is sub-250, so I don’t have to register or have RID? I’m working toward my 107, but I’m not there yet.
I would like to know as well. I'm not clear. I sold my mini 2 to avoid the hassle.
As always, you are right on.
Ken Heron really got the community buzzing with excitement, when he said RID would be delayed. You made some very good points in this video, thanks for sharing, Russ.
I have a Mavic Mini and I registered it because I have my Part 107.
If I don’t want to get Remote ID. I want to just fly this drone recreationally. Because this a sub 250 drone, is there a way to UNREGISTER it from the FAA?
You let your registration lapse like I just did. You have to renew every 3 years. I was naive enough to register it on day 1. Tbh I never even put the drone reg id on the drone Like ur supposed to.
Super informative video, thank you. What letter do you hand out to people when you’re approached?
I tug up on My shirt revealing a holster
Just as said ! Conjecture pure speculation. I’ve been told that no such thing has been stated as fact. It’s possible but not fact yet !!
