19:47 Interesting fact about the Sears Tower (or Willis) it was the tallest building in the US for 22 years in a row. Also technically it's the second largest building in the world currently (weird right), apparently the O.W.T. is not considered it's actual height because the spiers are made from a material they don't count in the systems
The thing is it's not the tallest in America, but Guinness world records (or whoever does the records) doesn't count the signal spiers because of the materials they are made from. Look it up (I don't know the specifics)
12:47 Fun fact, the fontainebleu has actually been in development for over a decade. Also the strat is taller (and litteraly down the street from it) but is not included due to it being "an observation tower"
The KPF First Hawaiian Center is very well done! Makes me appreciate the building more especially when compared with the blocky international style skyscrapers
Our building in Atlanta really is a giant pencil. I found it absolutely bonkers that up until last year I thought Atlanta was a big city since I only visited surrounding cities in the southeast like Charlotte, Orlando, Daytona, and Panama City, and then I went to New York City and San Francisco last year and this year respectively and realized how tiny my city was. My jaw dropped seeing how big the One World Trade Center was from the Newark Airport realizing it was basically half a building taller than ours in Atlanta 😅
Part of my family lives in Boston, and whenever I go, I drive past the Clarendon Street building. You did an amazing job representing that! Also, as a NYC liver, the World Trade Center (Freedom Tower) looked EPIC.
As a Florida resident, I personally don't know much of Florida outside of my city and was curious what ours would be, but seeing the vibes and the rooftop pool- checks out
I’m one of your Idaho viewers! Thank you so much for the compliments you gave to our tallest building, it really means a lot! And here are some fun facts about our state’s tallest building, our tallest building 8th and Main is named after the two streets it is at the corner of which are of course 8th and Main street. It is 17 floors, and it’s only the tallest in our state because of the spire on the southeast corner of the roof. Also the spire on the roof of that building today is not the original one, the original one was taken down only months after the building opened on February 15th 2014, because people were mad that the original spire was a spire used by the church of Christ. And the building is on a lot that was vacant for 27 years before it opened! From 1987 to 2014 the lot was empty and vacant after an old abandoned building burned down in 1987, the old building was called the Eastman building. And the 8th and Main building is not the building with the most floors in Idaho, in fact the U.S. Bank building is 19 floors but still shorter than 8th and Main even though 8th and Main is only 17 floors because of the spire on the 8th and Main building. But before 2014 the U.S. Bank building was the tallest in Idaho. And the 8th and Main building is only an office building and parking garage. Not an apartment building. And my mom actually works in 8th and Main on the 8th floor. And one last thing the 8th and Main building won’t be the tallest in Idaho for much longer because of the new building being built on Idaho and 12th street in Boise it will be 27 floors and will open in 2025. And it will be called the Idaho and 12th building.
As a Pascagoula, MS native I can tell you that Rivage ( REE VAJ ) is correct. Been inside the Beau many times, job WELL done. The interior would put your to your test though. Very Versailles type 😊
I work in Philadelphia all the time as a union carpenter. That comcast 2 you made is pretty damn spot on! The top portion where it gets smaller is actually a hotel.
Coastal Alabama native here! I work in the RSA Battle House tower and the “Battle House” part is named after the historic Battle House hotel. The RSA tower itself is connected to the main wing of the hotel and the first seven floors of the RSA tower are an expansion of the Battle House hotel. The rest of the RSA tower is just an office building owned by Retirement Systems of Alabama. It’s a weird setup but it’s really interesting. Also the second pronunciation of the Beau Rivage is correct.

My mom works in the ConocoPhillips building, I didn’t realize it was the tallest building we have in Alaska, so it was cool to see it built in this video.
As someone from New Jersey, I did NOT expect our state to be the 9th tallest. I live in a boring suburb that’s nowhere near the city and most of the buildings where I live are very short, so that’s surprising lol

Resident Virginian here, amazing job on the Westin! I actually had no clue it was the tallest building in VA lol, I would have assumed it was something in Richmond. Great job with it again though, I pass by it every single day so I instantly recognized it
Thank you for these cool building ideas! I am likely never going to build such a scale, but I noticed certain design details that I really liked and will implement in my own builds. The indenting of windows and ledges I think add a touch of depth into tall structures that I never really considered.
As a Virginia Beachean who sees the Westin every single day from the moment I wake up and look out the window to right at bedtime, (what I mean to say is I know the Westin very very well) incredible job!
@@wolfnoggin2165the twin towers… were literally… 2 tall rectangles… apart from the new wtc 1 design, it has more structural strength, in the twin towers you could feel the building sway, with the new wtc 1 it didn’t sway
Freedom Tower as a moniker was discontinued long ago. New Yorkers rejected the name, along with Feedom French Fries. The Building is World Trade One. The buildings actual height is 1,792 ft tall to the tip of the spire. Marketing was outlandish but maybe for an understandable reason. The "height" of World Trade Center One sort of cheats Chicago's Willis Tower whose roof height is 1,451 feet vs WTC One whose roof height is 1,368 ft. The tallest building in NY, and the country for that matter, is the Central Park Tower whose roof height is 1,550 feet and looks significantly taller than WTC One when viewed in person. Not to say that WTC One isn't significant or impressive. I obviously have a preference for roof height. Not everyone does. Note: there are plans to dwarf all US Buildings. The Legends Tower is a proposed skyscraper in Oklahoma City would be 1,907 feet tall. Earlier renderings suggested that its height was based on its roof; however new renderings show a substantial spire or antenna. I guess we'll see if or when it actually gets built.
As an Oklahoma native, I had no idea the Devon Tower was that tall. Also Compared to the rest of the towers in OK it is by far the most unique. I knew it would be hard but I’m glad you built it!
In response to the definition of "tallest building" requiring habitable space to qualify, Maine just finished their new tallest building. It's still shorter than St. Joseph's, but narrowly. 201 Federal Street in Portland, ME. I just built it in my build and I'd love to see your take on it if you ever do a second round of these! Loved seeing all these builds 🤘

Yea crazy thing is if the sears and wtc didn’t have the antenna/spire the Sears (Willis) tower would be the tallest building in the US. Actually without the spire the WTC would be the 3rd tallest, with the Trump tower in Chicago taking second

It would be the tallest in America if it was the highest habitable floor
Edit: I have been proven wrong
The thing is it's not the tallest in America, but Guinness world records (or whoever does the records) doesn't count the signal spiers because of the materials they are made from. Look it up (I don't know the specifics)

we simply dont have enough people in vermont to need a tall building

Our building in Atlanta really is a giant pencil. I found it absolutely bonkers that up until last year I thought Atlanta was a big city since I only visited surrounding cities in the southeast like Charlotte, Orlando, Daytona, and Panama City, and then I went to New York City and San Francisco last year and this year respectively and realized how tiny my city was. My jaw dropped seeing how big the One World Trade Center was from the Newark Airport realizing it was basically half a building taller than ours in Atlanta 😅
Atlanta is still a large city... yes New York and the bay area outdo it, but 6 million in the metro area is still a lot
Part of my family lives in Boston, and whenever I go, I drive past the Clarendon Street building. You did an amazing job representing that! Also, as a NYC liver, the World Trade Center (Freedom Tower) looked EPIC.
This is pretty cool seeing all the different buildings, gives me some ideas for my own downtown city. Thanks!
As a Florida resident, I personally don't know much of Florida outside of my city and was curious what ours would be, but seeing the vibes and the rooftop pool- checks out
I've been to the capital and it was not that big compared to the building he said lol

12:50 why is the stratosphere not a building?
It’s a hotel. I agree with you.

Thank you for these cool building ideas! I am likely never going to build such a scale, but I noticed certain design details that I really liked and will implement in my own builds. The indenting of windows and ledges I think add a touch of depth into tall structures that I never really considered.
