I animated madness combat before. The thing about the time it takes is so true. I had plenty of time to animate so when I collaborated with another quite popular animator on a scene for a fan animation. We managed to make a whopping of 10 seconds in a little over of 9 hours. I would say the most time taken is when you need to add all the effects, animate bullet casing falling or animating the feet
I remember emailing Krinkles some fan mail when I was around 7-9 years old. I can’t exactly remember what I said, but it was along the lines of how it was made, what were my favorite parts, how many frames per second he used. It must have been super obvious he was emailing a little kid but our email chain was at least 10-15 emails long. I remember he was super helpful and gave me tips and recommended easy to use stick figure animation programs to get me started. Pretty wild.
50:24 fun fact! He actually answered this on a live stream. I’m guessing the reason he didn’t answer it is because the one thing that could permanently kill hank is actually lore related. Not just that, but that things existence is a spoiler for MPN. So, if I had to guess why it was left blank, is because of that. If you’re wondering what the answer was, it’s "If the machine didn’t have a use for Hank anymore" or something along those lines
ah yes, the story of Hank "Too angry to die" Wimbleton, Jebediah "Self Proclaimed Jesus" Christoff, Tricky The "Unstably Demonic Power Addict" Clown and The "unreasonably angry and powerful" Auditor. my favorite series that i grew up with. being a 90's kid, this shit hit different then what it does to most kids these days. Madness Combat is so incredibly unique that is has stuck with me since i first laid eyes on it almost 20 years ago. it is so damn unique that if you know about it from back then, you would instantly recognice it if described, as Madness Combat cannot be mistaken for something else if it was to be described as is. that is legit of unique it is, and how much of an impact it had one those fortunate enough to get to grow up with it from the start.
Man, that stuff about animation really hit its mark with me. I'm not an animator but I have made a few gifs and the only way to get gud is to just play around with the software. The usage of squash and stretch added more life and fluid movement to what I was making. Need a character to reach the end of a room quickly? Ehhh, let's just stretch him out a bit and use 2-3 frames. Might throw in a blurring effect with the paint brush.
While I'm not a great animator myself, I LOVE learning more about the process, then watching animated shorts and movies and just sitting in awe of the skill and artistry needed!
You unlocked some forgotten memories by showing Thing Thing & Bunnykill, Krinkels work ethic and commitment to quality of quantity is inspiring, excited to see part 2

Funnily enough I remember when Weasel said he was going to work on the Dashkin game, which is now considered a NewGrounds thing when Weasel was mainly sponsored by CrazyMonkeyGames, a competitor.

i really enjoyed the video and you absolutely should do a video explaining the LEGIT lore of madness because its really interesting LITERALLY NO ONE on youtube has made a cohesive all in one video you can watch to learn EXACTLY whats going on and your way of making videos would be such a good thing please you should
Btw no hate but their is a LOT of lore you missed, but to be fair you really only can find that if you read everything in both games and spend months discussing with beta testers and bigger madness combat fans
Little sneak peek, hank wants to end reality, hanks is only strong for a go2, go1s are hella stronger but all died out, jeb and sheriff probably are the only “good” guys
This video was more of a cursory glance at things, sharing broad strokes - combined with how the lore is generally mapped out, and Krinkels' own opinions on it. There's enough there to easily be an 60+ minute video all on it's own, so I decided not to try to dive too deep in it for this video. Maybe I should retitle that section to make it more clear that was my intent?
@@2leftthumbs 100%, so far their isn’t a single person on youtube who has made or has said they are going to explain the current lore. I wasn’t trying to hate on the video, it’s more of showing people what you missed 👍 (also so far your the closest to the actual lore)
Not taken as hating! It's clear you have an enthusiasm for the lore, and I imagine it can be frustrating to never see it discussed at the depth that you'd prefer to engage with it. The outpouring of comments wanting to learn the lore is really motivating!
46:43 But you do, you just got the answer lmao. The "J" stands for "Motherfucker", and I think it's befitting given the general edgy-yet-silly tone that Madness so wondrously tiptoes the line on.

If you want to start animating, use Krita or Blender - free, open source, and pretty intuitive.
Does that mean that hank can be killed for good since Krinkles didn’t answer
i really enjoyed the video and you absolutely should do a video explaining the LEGIT lore of madness because its really interesting LITERALLY NO ONE on youtube has made a cohesive all in one video you can watch to learn EXACTLY whats going on and your way of making videos would be such a good thing please you should
Fr, he said he might to my comment but he wants to take a break from madness
Btw no hate but their is a LOT of lore you missed, but to be fair you really only can find that if you read everything in both games and spend months discussing with beta testers and bigger madness combat fans
Little sneak peek, hank wants to end reality, hanks is only strong for a go2, go1s are hella stronger but all died out, jeb and sheriff probably are the only “good” guys
Oh yeah tricky was a scientist named hofnarr and got infected by dissonance which made him go crazy
Isn’t Derpixon a 18+ content creator 🤨
46:43 But you do, you just got the answer lmao. The "J" stands for "Motherfucker", and I think it's befitting given the general edgy-yet-silly tone that Madness so wondrously tiptoes the line on.
Fuck is youtube autoplay bringing me here for
Hey, where’s the 2nd part of this vid?
Where's part 2? Did you say next year? I can't remember, I'm not rewatching 2 hours to find out lol
I know this is a long shot. But man it would be awesome if the sequel talked about Xonico
