For an inspection test, fly up to some high voltage lines or a substation and, using the thermal camera, see if it shows any hot spots on the insulators that would indicate a potential issue.
I work for a police service and we bought a few of these drones when they first came out. I already have over 200 hours of flight time on one and you are just touching the tip of the iceberg of what this bird can do and just how rock solid it's been since we purchased them. With it's thermal capabilities we saved a missing persons life in the first two weeks we used it. You can definitely go into the menu and slow the pitch, yaw down to your desired speed to take out the "jerky" quality. I also find it much easier to use the roller to adjust the camera when it's zoomed in rather than yawing the drone. Check out the Panorama feature, it's pretty cool... Happy flying :)
@@brunrodrigues I work in Canada were we haven't enacted those restrictions. I believe the Chinese ban is the US is mostly restricted at the Federal Agencies mostly, as I know of a lot of US police services still utilizing Chinese drones.
The drone is such a stable camera platform. I have a part 91 commercial pilot license and have been wanting to become a commercial drone operator. Your shared insight is invaluable and impressive.
I've had my M300 RTK for almost a year now. I mainly use it to support a $35k LiDAR payload (non-DJI) to produce topographic surveys. One of the things I really appreciate about it is the high IP rating. I live and work in the pacific northwest and I can fly in a torrential downpour if I need to.
Since you're using a 3rd party LiDAR payload, do you make use of the PSDK port? I am trying to find a way to map the customizable C1 and C2 buttons on the back of the M300's remote controller to two digital I/O's on the drone, but I'm finding little documentation on how to do so.
@@kevin_wolf From what I understand, the DJI L1 will work with the M350. The drone itself doesn't have LiDAR capabilities. It still needs a separate payload, whether it be DJI or a 3rd party.
Makes you really appreciate how much they’ve miniaturized the Mavic and Mini lines. Wasn’t expecting this video to show how much we take those for granted.
Hello Billy. I got up this morning telling myself that I'm going to sit back today and watch how you break down this impressive drone. Of course I received the notification a while back, but didn't have a chance to watch it then. This drone is a man's drone and has many features one could ever want. This drone stuff is one of many of your gifts Billy Your opening and introduction on these first flight and first impressions videos are so informative from a learning perspective. Have a good one.
This video is great! I’m head of our Drone team at the Fire Department I work at and we are having this delivered next week. We plan on using it for search and rescue on Lake Michigan. I’m excited to see what it can do!
i am sure you already do since you work with emergency services, but make sure you paint your UAVs bright orange or red and include some reflective elements. Thats one area where DJI seems to have no understanding of professional users and always paints them the wrong color. Bright colors are much safer, and if it crashes you can find it.
Someone is mentioning line of sight a lot all of a sudden haha. In all seriousness, that thing is remarkable. The laser position thing is madness. So very cool. Thanks for showing us something we will never own!
This is a very impressive drone, and seems perfect for search and rescue missions and inspections. Great first look at what this drone is capable of. And the zoom ability of the this drone is amazing.
Billy , Congrats!!, Super nice Review. im in love with that Drone!!. I want to tell you that i speak spanish and you are the youtuber that speaks more crisp clear english i ever see. So is real easy to understand you ! Congrats 2!! Peace!!
This is definitely one of the best drones on the market right now for commercial use. We have integrated it into our intelligent drone solution, and get great feedback from our customers on the features of the drone!
I have an M300, he has the camera on the right side, not centered. It will not have any issues with the propellors. Hopefully, he shows you guys the Zenmuse P1 camera as well, it's unbelievable for 3D Modeling and drone surveys. M300 comes with a center mount.
So the last video I watched of yours was the mini SE. Super affordable tiny, not intimidating. Today you get the beast mode one out that I'm sure cost half as much as my house. Very cool.
Thanks Billy! It would be nice to have the chance to see in the foreground all telemetry instead of the actual footage. Or at least a combination of both. Now please let us know how much this thing cost. I bet it should be a test unit. Best!
Ok, the shopping cart says 25.5 K that’s a lot but it worth for such a monster aircraft! Definitely adding all other accessories would be nice to see. What about a 360 camera to see and listen the power of this beautiful machine? Cheers
Love seeing you figure everything out as you’re filming the video. Reminds me of the time I had to teach someone to fly a P4PRTK as their first drone. Congrats on stepping up in the drone “weight class” so to speak! 😂
Thermal and IR are not interchangeable words btw. Other than that looks like commercial is 20 years ahead of the Marine Corp. We're using the R80D which is a little over 100k for a worse system.
Our local law enforcement was flying this drone as an eye in the sky over a community festival this weekend. Almost no one seemed to notice it was up there. It hovers in one spot quite nicely.
Can I use this DJI300 DRONE to MAP and overhead aerial Landmass And Sea boundaries, by imputing specific GPS location number of many inputs and let it FLY autonomously to pick and simulate in total the imagery and detail MAP of the expected Area in the shorted given Time..? For proper Aerial Mapping.
Great Video Billy. Can’t wait to see the inspection content. We have just bought the M300 ourselves and are getting use to its huge spec. Would like to see the set up of the slave controller and dual operator operation. Thanks for the informative and useful video
Yeah this vid was Great and I can’t wait for the other ones. But I think maybe find a Videos from a an actual industry professional who has experience of using those features for inspection etc to allow you to make the most out of your purchase and to efficiently create and maintain your workflow
What's the pricing including camera? Why is it better than the Inspire II? Is it really not possible to get the props out of the footage? Awesome video, by all means!
It's a beast! I would be interested in knowing what redundancy features and hardware it has! For $25,000 I have to assume that drone has at least multiple redundant ESCs in the event one fails, multiple compass, multiple GPS, etc. Maybe even dual flight controllers? At this cost and size, it really _cannot_ afford to fail. A closer look at some of the higher level inner workings of this aircraft would make a great part of an overview. I think there's a lot "under the hood" that we don't see from the outside for that kind of money.
What is the flight time Billy? Does it fly autonomously? Set up a rout to fly goes to that point autonomously. What is this drones biggest use where are they deployed most? I like the heat sensor capability probably a great tool for border surveillance. 👍 Thanks for sharing still on the fence with the new Autel drones. Do you see Philly drone much I watch his live shows. Pretty funny dude. See ya later
I always thought flying the inspire two was kind of like driving a Cadillac very smooth but not quick. You’ve had your inspire to for several years. How would you compare it as far as the feel of the flight?
