There are lots of great people out there remaking Shop class for kids/students. My school is just now developing our trades-based education here at Messmer High School in Milwaukee. We are using the space we have to welcome students to the woodworking community. We don't have a fancy shop space (yet), but you don't need much space in order to use hand tools to make beautiful projects that teach students: layout, measuring, sharpening, and most importantly craftsmanship. Students want to use their hands to make beautiful things, and it reinforces the math and focus that the workforce needs right now.

The thing that sucks about no more shop classes is kids don't learn any fundamentals of how to operate woodworking machines 😢

I wish more people realize that we all aren't made to sit at a desk 😂. I was that kid I had a hard time in school as a young kid because I couldn't sit still and stay focused in a classroom setting. I have always been great with my hands I thought myself to take my knowledge of woodworking from my father to a higher level plus self taught logger, welder, blacksmith and learning some machinist skills since I love to make my own tools.
I went to school for electrical and I learned a lot of things on how to fix electronics and how to repurpose them for my own ideas 💡. Books along with the Internet is a powerful tools. RUclips is great but you have to have enough wits to decipher good content that is true to and not just B's 😂!

Can you please balance the left/right pan of the audio closer to center? When people talk for long periods of time, it’s quite annoying to have a voice primarily in one ear. This is a talk show, and location of the speaker has nothing to do with the content nor does it add to delivery (it detracts). I haven’t heard any professional shows be so off balance, and I don’t see a reason this should be different.

As a retired teacher with over 36 years in the elementary school classroom this sounds fantastic. I wish something like this was available when I was teaching. Thanks for sharing it Ben. Hopefully many will see the benefits and talk their school’s administrators into starting this in their schools.
