Definitely!! Such beautiful dogs, as are all our aussie working dogs ( kelpies, border collies, blue and red heelers). They are full of energy and are super smart so need a lot of stimulation. They are also very in tune with emotions so make amazing emotional support animals.

You must be new here! If things changed and she realized she could not care for the dog she would never dump the dog back into a shelter. She would find it a new great home. But she is more then capable of caring for the dog and if not I am sure she will deal with it at that time

He is so cute!!!. I’m a vet tech! here are some tips- don’t take him out to public places (petco, grooming, pet smart) keep him strictly at home until all 4 series of vaccinations are done so he is fully protected. He can catch parvo, influenza, kennel cough etc.

ZappaChick Yes that’s correct! just like with all vaccines even in humans you are never fully protected. They could definitely catch anything but the risk isn’t as high as dog/puppy that has never been vaccinated before. You are building the immune system (their immunity) up that way if they do catch anything they have a better chance at fighting it off. Also they can be around other dogs ONLY if the other dogs have been fully vaccinated and preferably only in the backyard due to stray dogs roaming in front yards as well as people that don’t take their dogs to the vet or update them and have them walking in other people’s yards possibly a carrier of something - not sure if you knew that 😛
The first 2 "puppy" years will be hardest but having kids and animals grow up together, will create a special bond! You will adjust to your new crazy. You will find your rhythm. XO
I have a Mini Aussie, some good tips: They have A LOT of energy, so 2-3 walks a day and Mental stimulating activities help with their high-energy throughout the day. Amazon has some great dog mental toys. Start training and association with other dogs early. Happy for you Carli!!

Giving birth twice were definitely the hardest things I’ve ever done, but don’t think for a second you were not made for it! When it comes time your body knows exactly what to do and your mind will just adjust. You will do great and you will feel like Wonder Woman afterwards! ❤️
yep I agree. I was so scared with my first pregnancy and its still scary with your second but you also know what's going to happen. The second go around was faster and easier
That’s not true though. My body didn’t know what to do. I never went into labor and if I didn’t have a c-section both of my kids would be dead. I also have a condition where my uterus is only half the size it should be. My body had no clue what to do. I get where you were going with this comment but the problem is comments like “you were made for this” and “your body know what to do” are part of the reason why some women feel like they have failed if their body doesn’t go into labor or if they can’t deliver vaginally. Birth is unpredictable and every pregnancy is different. I definitely did not feel like wonder women after giving birth.
Thank you for showing us that things are not perfect! We know you have a positive energy even when things are hard. But showing us that you struggle helps us connect with you even more! It’s ok to miss your dad, even though you know he’s with you it doesn’t mean you can’t miss him. Be gentle on yourself ❤️❤️❤️

It was very hard since I would do anything to have put my sweet princess in his arms just one time. You are going to be the best Mom in the world and your sweet Dad will be with your baby boy. I love my dogs, but something changed as soon as I had my baby. They would try to jump on my furniture when she was a tiny baby and it was just one more thing to stress about. Maybe it’s just me lol 😂

Careful with the allergy thing! I use to be super allergic to our dog when I was younger,I would wake up from sleeping and be struggling to breathe, I guess I got use to it but I wouldn't want that happening to you while your pregs..... Just something to keep in mind

Agree, by my third birth it was heaps easier because I knew what to expect and allowed my body and baby to work together.
That’s not true though. My body didn’t know what to do. I never went into labor and if I didn’t have a c-section both of my kids would be dead. I also have a condition where my uterus is only half the size it should be. My body had no clue what to do. I get where you were going with this comment but the problem is comments like “you were made for this” and “your body know what to do” are part of the reason why some women feel like they have failed if their body doesn’t go into labor or if they can’t deliver vaginally. Birth is unpredictable and every pregnancy is different. I definitely did not feel like wonder women after giving birth.

I completely understand how you are feeling especially since I lost my Daddy when I was 30 weeks pregnant. It was very hard since I would do anything to have put my sweet princess in his arms just one time. You are going to be the best Mom in the world and your sweet Dad will be with your baby boy. My daughter when she was at older would tell me she saw Papou at the grocery store and that was one of his favorite places to go. I love my dogs, but something changed as soon as I had my baby. They would try to jump on my furniture when she was a tiny baby and it was just one more thing to stress about. Maybe it’s just me lol 😂

I'm a month behind you with my pregnancy I feel you with the range of growing changes, and sometimes we feel like we need to be strong for everyone else that we forget ourselves. Taking a step back to realize that helped me voice my battles, which is healing...to express to the right ppl. I just adopted a cat and if I learned anything, you should never undermine the ability animals have to calm is so therapeutic. Shes helping me through my growing changes ;-) and we have eachother ❤
Careful with the allergy thing! I use to be super allergic to our dog when I was younger,I would wake up from sleeping and be struggling to breathe, I guess I got use to it but I wouldn't want that happening to you while your pregs..... Just something to keep in mind
