You have inspired me. I have nowhere near as much wax as you, but I really reined it in these last couple of months….because I am a Fall girl at heart and need to make some room 💕
I am a fall girl for sure and Fall is my biggest collection by far!
1) You are courageous to share the journey and self no-buy challenge of a soothing habit that is difficult to change. So very relatable. 2) if you were my sister, I would encourage you to remember why you took this challenge on in the first place. And, remember your original stressed perspective that even if you didn’t buy for 3+ months, you really won’t miss out on anything bc there are ALWAYS new delightful scents in the coming months. Always. Stay strong for that inner self that wanted this success, stay focused on why, stay present in your current inventory room. Revisit that full inventory every day if need be. There are so many scents in your stock waiting their turn. 💪🏼🫶🏼 You have got this!

I only planned on buying during L&S preorder and L3 Loafapalooza. Got my (huge) L&S order in and then totally blanked on Loafapalooza. Not sure if it was because it was on a Monday vs Friday, but I forgot all about it. I had a list and everything. I have been tempted to go on the site and see what's still available, but I'm taking it as a sign to pass on this.
What you wanted is probably sold out so it you go look now, it would be spending money on something you never wanted in the first place. That's how I would try to think of it at least!
I still haven't purchased anything. I looked at the Salt Mountain Melts list, but there were no repurchases for me. I'm waiting to see what Teddy Bees & Second and Spruce will offer on their pre-order.
I for sure can't skip TB or SS. It's an addiction! lol sounds like you are doing amazing!

You are doing awesome, Alexis! I haven’t been doing well with being on a no buy for Summer so I’m planning to restart it, especially since I was readmitted to college online. I’ve been wanting to go back for two years.
I have been melting quite a bit tho.
It is a great idea to have a number of pieces that you want to get your collection down to.

Great progress - you are doing so well!! I participated in the Lavender & Speckles pre-order, but I think I did pretty good. When I first made my list, it was a mile long - or so it seemed. I then narrowed it down to 8 scents, and wanted it all in tubs. However, after looking at my wax inventory again, and reminding myself this was a first time buy for me, I realized 8 tubs in a first time buy was just not the right thing for me to do, personally. My space - or the areas that I will be warming this wax in, are very difficult places in my home to get a good scent throw. And honestly, what works well in one person's home does not necessarily work well in my home. All of this was going on in my head right before the opening. So when I went in, I purchase all 8 scents, but in small packages. I felt like that was a win - compared to my original list. The other two vendors I am focused on now are Destination Wax in August, and whenever Teddy B's has an opening. That Destination Wax in August will probably be a pretty big buy for me. Usually I purchase during a pre-order from Destination Wax, and I buy loaves of my favorites scents/blends, and I buy enough that I know will last me for one year. The only other concern I have is the August sale for the catalog seasonal change over with Scentsy, but I held strong during the flash sale, and I think I can do the same during that sale. I have enough Scentsy wax that this should really be a no-brainer for me - will see how it goes. Awesome progress again, I think you are doing fantastic! Thank you for sharing this journey with us!!
Congrats on the LS preorder! It sounds like you really figured out what will work best for you. I'm for sure doing Destination wax in August. She is offering some of my favorite winter scents, and I usually only purchase from her once a year or so. Perfect timing! I don't need anything from Scentsy in August but I know once the Fall/Winter catalog hits I'll want to grab a good chunk of new things.
July is a low buy month for sure. I failed miserably in June. There is not much going on in July, yet.
I have failed miserably in July lol I feel like there is so much tempting me. Ugh
Won't be ordering from Dessa's, SMM has an opening on the 21st.

Great update, Alexis! I’m still attempting a low buy July as well. It’s helping me that super tarts isn’t doing weekly RTSs! I skipped rose girls and Knowles, but I’ve went in on L&S and I’m planning to do loafapalooza today and Dessa’s this weekend. 🫣
