It really is a shame tamashii has stopped shading their figures for the most part. The newer sculpts are so good, and a little bit of shading would go a long way in masking the shiny plastic they’re using around the joints. Still a good figure, but it really could be great. I wouldn’t even mind paying 5-10 more dollars for the figure if they’d paint it really well

It's a great looking Goku figure, but that plastic is quite glossy (even more so than Majin Vegeta). I have my Dragon Stars Goku figures (which are extremely cheap compared to SH figs) on display currently, and even those figures have a matte finish to them. What's going on Bandai? Still, great review as always.

That song is just some DBZ background music. Yeah, I mean it doesn’t look that bad, like the origins release Gohan. But who knows, you might be right with them using different plastics for higher stress areas. I really hope that’s the case.
I have two of these things on pre-order with the intention of using the Warrior Awakening head on the second one. Looks like I'll either have to use some model putty or boil, pop and swap the neck in order to make that work.
Hey man, I have a goku box that says “goku” on the front and not “Gokou”. I don’t know why but I just found this out and I’ve been having this figure for a long time now. I think about a year maybe more. He is a real deal goku and has everything with it. I got it from Amazon when it was around 30 dollars and now it’s 60 dollars on amazon. Do you have an answer to this?
The one in the photo's looked way better then the one now I head is good same for the faces and hands but the GI the orange is too bright it needs to be a little darker I would of liked more face's but the figure is good enough after all it's 30 bucks its the cheapest in the line so far its worth the money for sure
Honestly, it's hard to keep interest in the line these days. Why doesn't anyone care that the arms are stuck at a 10 degree angle because of the butterfly sockets? They improved everything else but chose to ignore the problem with the arms.

Hmm,,, I think go for Vegito. I think the Goku 2.0 will be around for a while and we will probably see it used again with an updated SSJ and SSG Goku using the same body.
Congrats on winning the bid! The good thing is that most SHF DB figures retains their value so if you ever decide you don’t want it, you’ll be able to let it go for a what you paid for or close to. For now, I hope you enjoy the Figure!
Does the the crotch part have a different shade of orange compared to the rest of the orange on the figure? Mine almost feels like its a different plastic material from the rest of the figure.
Honestly it wouldnt make sense for this figure to come with any SSJ head. This figure is based off pre Super Saiyan Goku. Shouldnt even have came with instant transmission hand. Great review
They are releasing a power pole accessory for this Goku at the upcoming Dragonball Tours that references the artwork for the upcoming movie of Goku with his power pole again. By that logic they consider this Goku current Goku, who can use any of his transformations, even though only his boots are different.
I will buy this figure for sure, because the price is really good. (35€ for an all new sh.figuarts figure is wonderful actually). Then I'm going to paint the hair, eybrows and the eyes red, so I'll have my own sh.figuarts ssgod Goku for only 35€. I'll custom the shit out of this figure 😁😁

Honestly thought the out of the box guy would review him first but looks like you beat him to it lol nice video so far haven't finished but love your reviews lol. In regards to the gloss I've noticed it depends on lighting sometimes it looks worse my majin vegeta I can barely tell none of the figures look like the prototype. The plastic doesn't stand out compared to the whole line. It looks more like a semi gloss in some areas nothing that makes the figure total shit which some people are claiming but I do wish they kept it a little more consistent.

Im not exactly sure but I’ve heard you can get it as an exclusive item from the tamashii your that will take place in this year in the States. That or you could use the one that comes with kid Goku. A bit short though.
You wanna know what figuarts and dragon stars have in common? They dont have things that their older counterparts have Figuarts(Little to no shading) Dragon stars(Very little articulation) well some of them are ok
