There was a girl I knew from church who grew up to become a music teacher/band director. No fame. No fortune. But to watch her direct her group of 6,7&8 th graders gave you such joy because you could tell she was doing what she was meant to do. She had found her purpose and the beauty of it was just so wonderful to see. Seeing you guys work on your music like this gives me the same type of joy. Thank you for sharing. ❤
This was their best album to date. I listened to it repeatedly for a couple weeks. They should be proud of their work.

I went to a 21 Pilots concert a few years back where Mutemath opened for them. All I could think during MM's set was "Wow, this drummer is phenomenal". So cool to so Darren on this album. Different styles, but all talented artists. Also, I love your music (including solo projects). There are lots of us who can't imagine how guys as incredibly talented as you could possibly think you aren't good enough.
So proud of you guys for going it alone on this album without the label, happy lucky number 9!!!! Can't wait to bump it in the car for the next month!!!

Such great insight into the process of songwriting and musicianship at the highest level ! I would love to better understand what was done digitally vs analog. I could have sworn I saw old fashioned multitrack tape at one point in this video.

He’s write all the big records are overproduced and sound horrible. I think the pendulum is swinging back to rock though.
This album is a solid two thumbs down for me.
I never thought they would go so far out of their way to make such an ambiguous record with hints of the divine sprinkled here and there but nothing meaningful. What a disappointment
Sorry I disagree with you. Great band clean and meaningful music. I love how great they are!! But everyone has their opinion which is fine!!!
I’m not saying they aren’t a great band. NTB is by far, my most favorite band.
Maybe that’s why I’m being so harsh on them.
With a track like “I Am Yours” on their previous album, it’s hard to compare the deep meaning of a track like that to the tracks on Caves that are neither here nor there. Caves is like a lukewarm cup of coffee. The production value is great but you can tell the Bible took a backseat for these writing sessions.
@@Sam-jq3rj fair enough! Temporary tears, caves, and when you forgive someone didn't have just a sprinkle of Devine. It was way more meaningful. They created this album without a label so cuddos to them!!
I agree this album doesn’t have an outright “worship” song and I would have definitely enjoyed that but my mindset is this is one of 9 albums and as long as they still have several in store for us down the road I can still enjoy this album knowing it’s a part of a whole.
@@egecherd94 I agree with you. Like I mentioned earlier, NTB is tops for me.
But to hear an entire album with not even a small trace of an outright mention of God has me puzzled.
Bear would have to go out of his way to purposely make an entire album and not mention God.
Maybe that’s my real issue.
