It's the leadership traits that I was fascinated by. He spotted an issue, notified crew chief (for convo sake). Got a hold of his coworker to tell him get the tools out we coming in hot.
He didnt panic nor show any frustrations.
These characteristics goes a long way and in some instances arent replaceable.

Most tracks have the issue fixed where it hasn't been an issue. If you want a pro tree might as well just turn on NHRA.
People seem to forget the reason NPK was even started and it was solely to mimic the street so the fans of SO could come watch the people they watch on TV race in real life versus just on TV.
Run a pro tree and spray the track.
It's a shame they can't just go to a flash light start with a camera pointed at the rear tire, if the tire cracks before the light is on its a jump. Shit they could do that with instant green and put a stop to the bs. I'd bet guys like Odom and Ducote don't guess if they know they'll be guaranteed a loss.
In reality you don't even need a camera on the tires as when someone guesses like Odom did even Ray Charles could see he guessed the light.
Or have a tire crack cam like on the street 2 tends would be easy to see and eliminate these guys fucking it up know they can't win doing thT shit

In fact they will prolly double down on it & start putting even more camera's, at the shut down area. Just so they dont miss 1 second, of any the heated arguments or fights. Honestly if they actually wanted to change it. Just have 1 person operating the button & randomize the instant green light. That way it goes green differently each time. Then they would have to wait till they see it light up. Maybe 1 out 100 attempts might get lucky, trying to guess it. So guys wouldn't even try it, because they could not only red light, but go red really bad & look dumb A.F. because of it. Like I said though, they will prolly never change it, they want as much drama as they can possible get.

PRO TREE!!! Do I have to say it again!? It solves everything!
Will it solve the crashes? Maybe start spraying the track? At some point npk becomes nhra. The guessing isn't an issue at 95% of the tracks. I think only 1 track maybe 2 last season where the timing system couldn't be configured to throw the red light I'd your tire broke the first beam after the starter started the sequence for the race to start.

You can guess on a pro tree, no difference. Use a full tree, and then there is no guessing.
@@giovanhagar my understanding is on a pro tree that has computer controlled stagger when the starter throws the switch at the last car staging the computer randomly chooses the amount of delay before the yellow come down, so good luck guessing on that

Yea there all slow Justin that’s y they guess I hate that wish they put a stop to that or fine the people everytime they do it.
I understand the frustration, but the tree is part of your game. I bet there are way more losses from people guessing than there are wins. Think about it, you're already running cars that would easily redlight on a 4/10's tree, the odds of guessing correct on where the starter activates the tree are incredibly low.
The world needs more men like the Swantroms. Loved how y’all handled it at the end.
Now people get to see the truth about Odom agreeing to race straight up and then guess like a little bitch he guessed first round against Scott too. The whole guessing thing was cool when the field had cars that were down 5/10ths or more and they guessed and made it a decent race. With the field being so tight now and decent parity has been achieved I think it's time for a pro tree. Instant green could still work if it was activated by a switch or button by a human every time so it would be random but with the computer doing it, it's too easy to time and get those 2 to 3 tenths off the line. I hope they figure out a way to make it work and take the guessing out of it. You guys have that car rolling and with the momentum you guys have I feel like it's going to be a great season for you guys.
i think the best solution to the guessing would be a dead mans switch for the starter. it goes green when he turns it green and its not on a clock.
That would help but did you notice till 3/4 of the way through Saturday no once did anyone red light, one of the small tire guy's was talking about it with Boosted and as their watching it a car was out about 30ft before green and didn't red light, that red light wasn't working until Boosted went up to the Tower at the break in racing, after like 3 or 4 pair's went down after the break someone finally red lighted.
@@Nazirre99 just need to use the Pro tree. This is not the street, they are racing on the track with a perfectly good operational Pro tree which they need to start using otherwise this problem is not going to go away
@@michaelwynne4346 It looked to me like they changed the delay in the semis. If you watch the feed in the semis the green light came on a lot faster once both cars staged. it was closer to 4/10ths all race and then in the semis it was closer to 2/10ths, so I think they changed the delay but yes, I did notice the difference and the fact that Odom didn't get to go before green after that.

Hell of a way to take a loss. The guessing was out of control at this race until Boosted had the variant changed on the tree. None the less, the thrashing in the pits after the blower popped was awesome. Great footage from the new camera man as well. Good luck in OH, SG!
