I think this is a needed improvement. I was considering replacing my DOS because it is too noisy and it doesn’t do continuous pumping.
I think a good facty poo is it will pump 3.8 gallons a day . Is that correct Master Thomas ?
Why can't we get a side by side comparison of how loud it is instead of all the music? Thanks for the info though . 👍🏻
Thats what the data is for! I doubt a mic is going to do a great job of conveying the noise difference; even people who compare PC fan noise still use a db meter to show the difference because a mic can favor some frequencies over others (as can our ears) so it ends up being subjective. With data you can just see the difference and not get mislead by a mic.
Yeah, I have both. The new one is definitely quiet. You will not hear it at all. I keep the original one in my basement for auto water changes and put the new one in my living room for supplement dosing and don't hear it
How it is programmed for use with a calcium reactor
that not exactly how decibels work lol. there's a huge difference between the sound pressure level and our perception/perceived volume level.
An increase of 3 dB represents a doubling of the sound pressure, but an increase of about 10 dB is required before the sound subjectively appears to be twice as loud.

Waste of money
It’s a waste of time and money, my two dos sit in my cabinet and can barely hear them even at three in the morning and with my cabinet doors open. I have had them since they first came out.
Waste of time and money if one is considering upgrading from the Dos they already have. Not a waste of money if one doesn't have a dosing pump yet. These replace the old versions, so there's no increase in price.
Another cheap cash grab…just swapping out with another motor with nominal improvement…Bertram needs money so let’s rerelease another largely unchanged product
