I watch just about all of the sailing couples and families and I want y'all to know that you're definitely one of my favorites! Keep producing awesome content!
Haircut = Much better... LOL I was in New Zealand in the late 60's & out of all the places I've been in the world, still rates right at the top. The people were VERY friendly & respectful, the scenery beautiful, nothing I didn't like. The atmosphere & way of life reminded me of what the U.S. was like 40-50 years earlier. A friend of mine sailed there in the 70;s & never left. Glad to see you discovering this gem & sharing with everyone. As others have said, your channel gets better all the time. So uplifting to escape to with all the negative crap going on here. You are building lifetime memories for you & your family, isn't that what it's all about? Best wishes & safe travels.
"To desire nothing beyond what you have is surely happiness. Aboard a boat, it is frequently possible to achieve just that. That is why sailing is a way of life, one of the finest of lives." Happy adventures! Cheers, Domenico.
2020 Waitangi Day, I WAS THERE TOO! Those big war canoes can really move ! I remember sailing into Tauranga , Bay of Plenty, not quite two months after the eruption and understandably emotions in the town were still very raw. Hard to comprehend such tragedy in so beautiful a place, God rest those poor souls and all who mourn their passing. We`d sailed over from NSW. When we flew back from Sydney to Perth, the whole world went mental ! I`m supposed to be sailing round the Carib for a month right now but that`s on hold till who knows when :(
So glad to find you all again! In 2009 (the year I cut the TV cable cord and my land line phone line) I found you all on YT and was so sad to see you go back to normal life, but understood why! Now fast forward to 2021 April and we (now I am married to my darling wife, Adelina) found you all, from a family of 2 (2.5) to a family of 5! How exciting! Yes, you all were (I think Delos too) one of the very first YT sailing folks! Thx for coming back to us! So proud of you all! As a TCK born and raised in Indonesia, and my wife’s Indonesian heritage, we love traveling and learning about new cultures and places too. Thank you for bringing great videos of info, fun, and knowledge to us all! Cheers from the DAG family in Gilbert, Arizona
New Zealand is a wonderful place. I was there on a surfing holiday. Surfed many place on North Island. Thanks so much for sharing your adventures with us at home. Safe travels and fair winds.
Wow .The 1st time I have noticed youre back after seeing all your eposodes with the Lagoon 38 many years ago . You both look the same but wow with 3 kids so fantastic . I look forward once again to your great vidios and yes my last name is also Hynes but all call me Kimbo ...lol Take care .
Life is so fragile, enjoy each day as if it is your last but make plans for the future. I wish I could have done this when my children were that age. Love your channel.
Your family is soo lucky, so many experiences the boys are getting to have. They will all look back on this are a lifetime high. Can you top this.... Your visits keep getting better each time.
HEYY ! Been watching since forever ! lost track with covid but here i am !! The things that you found floating with your kids was an urchins and it was dead and empty... they are edibles !! Only the yellow/orange part ! When alive they are fully closed !!
Happy you guys saw some Kiwis! Really neat how calm your boys were around them. Loving seeing this place, because everyone needs a memory or an escape 🤙✌️
You are such a great couple letting your children see so much in life ,its great now I am intrigued did you get back to the boat after the wedding or not this is the question !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Loving these weekly vlogs guys. Those kiwis were amazing! Everyone looked so happy to be on terra firma. March 2020 was when it all went bad so I'm looking forward to seeing how you coped with it all.😎🌬⛵⚓
Wow, I can't believe I was at Motuarohia Island and climbed that same look out about a month later. I flew back to Brisbane just before lockdown. My brother lives there with a couple of mono hulls.
Your definitely need the insert for the furler deflector as it helps keep the halyard from wrapping around the foil tube. If not it will happen in the worse possible situation when you want to reduce sail and cannot as the halyard is now wrapped. As a rigger I have seen people remove the deflectors - be it the type you have or the ones fastened to the mast face - much to their detriment later.
Thanks for sharing another amazing video! I always get super excited seeing archer and can’t wait to see what story you have to share yet again. I hope you’re secretly on lap 2! Haha
Oh My Nauticals, Been randomly binge watching episodes of yours, just discovered you the other day on your last few eps in Fiji before making a run for it to Australia. And so I was curious how you handled the Lockdown, and how you met up with Zatara, and maybe (I haven't watched the episodes between this one and the Fiji run to Australia yet) if you also met up with Sailing with the Wynns, which I think also they met up with Zatara at one point while they became boatless because of Lockdowns. Zatara has met up with so many sailing channels, currently they've been with Aquarius in and around Saudi Arabia. Sad to see Seth get the James Callis long hair get cut, however, he continues to look like his doppelgänger 🙂
Kiwi is the plural for the bird and people. No s needed. In Māori there is no s for plural words so Kiwi can refer to both the singular noun and plural nouns.
Pleased to see the Sailing Queen family made it to NZ, I know they had to go back to Norway, but thought they may have had to leave the boat in Tonga like the Wynnes, Do you know if they are back on the boat, I quite miss their adventures and quirky vlog style.
You know how you have your night light on board, that's red at night... You should use the same at night when searching for wildlife. Some of the kiwi were stunned with your bright torchlight. It's always a good idea not to shine any lights near them.
Ha! This has spurred quite a debate onboard. Here are the rules specifically - but we're not sure how to interpret them in this case. Who won?!: "Players may tap a block to find a loose one. Any blocks moved but not played should be replaced, unless doing so would make the tower fall. The turn ends when the next player touches the tower, or after ten seconds, whichever occurs first." In this instance, Seth moved a block and did not play that piece, but moving it back would make the tower fall, so???
The way the boys moved slowly away from the kiwi was awesome. You guys are great parents
one of the underrated YT sailing channels...you guys rocks!
Give it time. I predict this channel it going to the top.
@@waynevetrone it surely will...perfect couple with awesome kids...
Fantastic video. I love how you added the names of the islands with the coordinates.
Thanks. We might keep that going!
Beautiful scenery thanks for sharing your amazing adventures and blessings for your beautiful family 🙏😊
Thanks for showcasing my homeland so beautifully. And you got to see Kiwis!!! So cool. Another brilliant episode.
You took the words right out of my mouth (or rather my fingers on the keyboard)! A great video!

She has one of the best smiles ever!
Simply the BEST sailing family on youtube!
You are the best...
Wow, thank you!
Wow. What a magical place. A true adventure. Just gorgeous guys.
OMG....it’s like watching a Disney Movie only better, you guys so Rock!

I lived i NZ and have never seen a Kiwi in the wild you are truly lucky to have experienced that

Welcome back!
Wow!! The Kiwi”s were amazing! Thank you!
beautiful vid.. well shot and well..you can't go too far wrong when it is new zealand..
The south island gets all the love, but we were so impressed with the Bay of Islands too!
Kiwis are a fair ways from the Black Dog. Vineyard whalers visited that land almost 150 years ago, during those tougher times.:).
Life is so fragile, enjoy each day as if it is your last but make plans for the future. I wish I could have done this when my children were that age. Love your channel.
Yes you are right. We try to keep reminding ourselves of that fact.
Just found you guys and loved the video. Best wishes from South Carolina, USA. Subscribed immediately!
Welcome and thanks!

Great Videos! I’m living thru your lens....well done. Only wish I could be there. Waiting on the next video...
I think you look awesome with your haircut. 😎
Another great video. It's awesome you met up with Queen. I haven't seen any new videos of them in some time now. Can't wait for the next one.
Nice drone footage.
the sailing family has become my favorite sailing channel,, your videos are really good.. thanks
Wow, thank you!

What a beautiful place! Thank you for sharing!
Kiwis are bigger than I thought.. great place . You're a lucky man Seth.
Great episode Archer Crew, New Zealand looks amazing. Thanks for this weeks adventure guys. Fair winds and following seas Archer.
lovely family to watch. you guys are an inspiration to us all
You are so kind! Thanks for watching.
Beautiful scenery
Great Sailing Family video of New Zealand!
Tooth Fairy knows the currency 🤣😂🤣😂 to give. 🦷
Looks epic! Did the shroud wear come from years in that environment? They don't look damaged necessarily, just old.
As Seth said, with even ONE broken strand, they need to be replaced.
Loving stealth mood 🤣😂🤣

Way to think outside the Blocks. :)
What an adventure. Love it and so look forward every week to a new upload
Glad you enjoyed it! More to come!
We recently discovered your channel and we love it! Great relaxed vibes, love it 😊 have a nice day!
Awesome! Thank you for watching and commenting!
What an awesome experience for your boys, you're doing it right!
Bay of Islands looks like Marin (I grew up in Terra Linda). Curious, we have Oyster Catchers here on the Oregon Coast!
I'm 67 & I've never seen a Kiwi in the wild. To give you a heads up it is the only bird that has it's nostrils at the end of it's beak.
59, only seen them in reserves
Great video! You guys are so much fun to watch! Thank you for this.
Sailboat definitely seems like a better mode of travel to get there, but worth it.
Kiwi is the plural for the bird and people. No s needed. In Māori there is no s for plural words so Kiwi can refer to both the singular noun and plural nouns.
Great work catching the kiwi. Almost thought you were taking the kids on a snipe hunt.
Great video - glad you enjoyed my country
I love it!
Bay of islands my favourite 😻
When you have one of the fastest sailing cats, it seems wrong to be using the mothers....🤣😂
Pleased to see the Sailing Queen family made it to NZ, I know they had to go back to Norway, but thought they may have had to leave the boat in Tonga like the Wynnes, Do you know if they are back on the boat, I quite miss their adventures and quirky vlog style.
Oddly enough, we just anchored next to Queen, but with the new owners on board. They are back in Norway - but looking to cruise the Med!
I am so excited to watch this episode!
We love all your videos!
Thanks for watching!

15:33 - our home in that shot. not the big one... that's Trevor's...
Great drone footage
Second love the channel living the dream
That is so beautiful you guys are so lucky
nice hair cut mate, get an agent and you easily get a job in hollywood , thanks for keeping sharing The Sailing Family journey
Ha. Not so sure about that! But thank you...
Ah miss our Maori cuzzies.................. expat in Perth
Fantastic place
Hi Elizabeth do you know what the model is on your sunglasses I love those? Or even the color
They’re just your basic Maui Jim aviators. Blue!
Love every episode of you!
I had a feeling Covid 19 was looming on the horizon to stall your plans. Great video log of your adventures. Out of interest, what drone do you use?
Yep, it's a spanner in the works for sure! We used a DJI Mavic Pro 2 Zoom in this video. Sadly she's since crashed, but I loved this drone!
@@TheSailingFamily Great brand and the vids were awesome. Hope to see you back onine soon.
Really, i'm a Kiwi and i have never seen one in he wild
Cheers guys!
Super haircut. Looking handsome as ever.
Elizabeth thought I "looked like a hobo" before. Ha ha. Gotta keep the wife happy!
Very Awesome Video!!!!!
Who/What were the planes in formation towards the end of this video?
Thank you very much!
Feb 2020? Wow, it's so weird to see life in the before times.
That barber forgot your beard, 😆
You are the man!
Yes welcome to my backyard
You have a great backyard!
Where'd you get that molar bag?
Online, I'm sure? Amazon? haha... Molar bag.
Seth cheated! You can tap a block to see if it’s loose but you can’t move it to the middle like that! You won Elizabeth
Ha! This has spurred quite a debate onboard. Here are the rules specifically - but we're not sure how to interpret them in this case. Who won?!:
"Players may tap a block to find a loose one. Any blocks moved but not played should be replaced, unless doing so would make the tower fall. The turn ends when the next player touches the tower, or after ten seconds, whichever occurs first."

@@TheSailingFamily A win by default! (Rules were meant to be broken)>
Idyllic ❤️
Great video
thank you
What’s a little known fact is tha the Maoris of New Zealand eat the Almaoris that were the original owners or actually lived there before them
Most New Zealanders (kiwis) have never seen a kiwi in the wild
Funny how that works. Been living in the NYC area for decades and have ever gone to the statue of Liberty
It’s awesome she’s 😁 happy that means you can be happy n don’t have to do that balancing act of doing fun thing or trying to keep the wife happy 🤣
First time I”ve seen a kiwi
👍👍👍👍👍
Loves from Türkiye. .
How did you manage to get into NZ when NZ is locked for foreigners?
This was filmed JUST before Covid. We talk about it in this video.
@@TheSailingFamily Sorry I missed the "2020"...well I saw it, but in my mind I saw "2021" 😊 Enjoy your beautiful journey.
Nice hair cut, did your wife say my new hot man is back
Pretty much. She was happy. Kids were sad. 😢
