- Hello everyone, and welcome to The Mall of Monroe in Monroe Michigan. Originally known as the Frenchtown Square Mall, it would open in 1988 as the premier shopping destination for the Monroe region. However, as of today, it is a shell of its former self. Whilst it does live a second life as a community mall and small business hotspot for the Monroe region, in line occupancy is very scarce, and it remains as Cafaro’s weakest property in their portfolio. Let’s take a walk through this mall and see what it holds in store for us!

What are your thoughts on Mall of Monroe, and what do you think it’s future holds?
Hey everyone! I’m happy to announce I’m back from my break! Even if uploads are still a bit slow for a minute, I’ll still be around uploading more videos for y’all soon! Thanks for sticking around everyone!
@@ERA_Productions this is my hometown mall. I really hope something is done with the mall. Unfortunately the mall has sold all anchor spaces to companies who don’t have a purpose being there. I thought this mall would have closed down atleast 5 years ago but it’s still trucking along.
Also a Golf Simulator/Axe Throwing/Restaurant/Bar has opened in the store fronts with blue paint.
I drive from Toledo to this mall just to go to that pinball aracde. They have a great assortment of pinball games.
Great video! Glad you're back, man!
Excellent drone footage!
Music was 🔥
At 6:21 I swear you said Office Smacks and was thinking, what the heck store is that?! Thanks for all the great content! They are informative, nostalgic, and relaxing all to some great, chill music. And agree on the look. Some places looked more like an uninspired hotel lobby than a mall.
I get that, because sometimes my microphone makes it sound like I said something different than I actually said. Thank you! I appreciate it!
Nice video Andrew! Beautiful drone footage! Love this mall, Monroe Michigan is nice!
Thanks John! I appreciate it!
Great video Andrew! Been meaning to check this pace out.
Thanks man! You should check it out!
Great video and great to have you back my friend
Thank you so much! I appreciate the kind words!
I love how right when you walk in, they have photography of outdoor, walkable places plastered on the wall. And even throughout. Quite the opposite of what makes up malls as we typically know them. 5:38 Good golly that is fkn creepy having those cart seat things in the store front... a tease of what the mall used to be, I'm sure :O 8:01 Advertising to try to grab local businesses--seems similar to the trend at Frontier Mall and Greeley Mall in recent years.
first . keep up the good music vibes
Thank you!

Interesting they carpeted part of the mall. It's sad so many old malls across America are dying. With online shopping, people's shopping habits have changed. I agree carpeting is not a good idea as it gets dirty high traffic areas.
Yeah, carpeted malls just don’t seem right. I’ve never been a fan of them. It makes the place feel more like a Kmart breezeway.
the mall is not dead its just old it looks like a fresh new mall on the inside but old on the outside
I saw Roseanne Barr there once in 1991. Or at least I thought it was her. Turns out it wasn't.
