- P1753 P1768 P1298 engine code fix crazy Speedo D4 light flashing hard shift no power on takeoff. Speedometer doesn’t move or flickers all over. Blown fuse #15 alternator SP sensor 7.5 amp. Was not trans solenoids or torque converter lock up solenoids or electric load detector. Easy fix. This was on a 2000 Honda Civic 1.6L SOHC 1997 1998 1999 2001 2002 2003 2004 detecter Honda Accord Honda CR-V crv check engine light on.

Holy shit bro! I had no idea what was wrong with the car when I bought it yesterday for 400 bucks, lit up like a Christmas tree with codes. BUT I changed that 7.5 fuse, turned it on, and BOO YAH - EVERYTHING WENT AWAY AND THE CAR RUNS PERFECTLY! Thank you so much!

Very helpful I could figure out why mine was going straight into third gear I welded my exhaust forgot to unhook the battery and blew that fuse I’m glad I watched this.

I saw in Honda bulletins for codes P: 1298, 0135, 1753 and a few more - if blk/yel wire is shorted to ground at rear of the non ulev alternator, the ecm/pcm may retain those diag codes... & check the #6 15a fuse

My 2002 Accord did the same thing (flashing D4) after I changed the starter. I disconnected the speed sensor connector trying to help me get to the rear starter mounting bolt. Forgot to reconnect it.

The solenoid screen cleaning is a snap, I've done it in the past and it helped my aging (320,000 miles) transmission. I've heard there are one or two more solenoids under the battery tray but haven't messed with them yet.

I know your post 3yrs ago but i came across it and my #15 fuse is not blown changed my eld and my code is still there even though i deleted it just come back what else could it be.( my code are o2,eld,vss )
Will this cause the car not to go into gear? My 96 won't go switch gears. (Reverse, neutral, drive). I used the bypass button to get it out of park. That's not the issue. It just won't come out of park. I followed the cable to the top of the transmission. And you can watch it try to move, but just won't change gears.
Might be a little late but Sounds like the tps needs to be adjusted or replaced
Hey guys I fix my D4 light that was flashing on my 1993 Honda Accord ex after thinking it was the transmission. And buying part after part. It was the transmission selonoid the whole time. Hope this helps
After replacing the shifting selonoid I haven’t had no problems at all. Been driving the car for one week no problems at all.

My 2001 accord 2.3 isn’t moving when I engage D4 and the engine is only revving. Sometimes she moves, sometimes she doesn’t. Replaced the 2nd gear pressure switch after I received P1738 code. Put New ATF and cleaned the solenoids too. What’s the issue please tell me

Where your solenoids are located.....I don't have those. I have what looks like a relay of some sort. Where are my solenoids? It's a 1.6 liter honda civic. (1996).

My 94 accord get neutral after get hot maybe after 5 km driving...but after cold get back normal...is the selenoid be the problem?
I’ve ran into this a lot. Lack of pump pressure or clogged trans filter is sometimes the cause. If the filter is that clogged it’s probably from trans damage/extreme wear
@@FerKurl could it be the selenoid? When i checked the two selenoid...the ones click but not as strong as the other one...the shift and lock up selenoid..not sure where the ones that is not click strong

I have delayed engagement from neutral to drive 3 and drive 4. When I put it in drive, I feel a bump, then another bump and it's ready to go. Any ideas? Anyone? Fluid has always been clean.

Im gonna change my transmission mounts an 4th an 3rd solenoid today im see if it helps cause everytime i put it in 4th or 3rd the engine or transmission seems to jump 🤔 🤷

I was testing my alternator last night took out my 7.5 fuse #15 put her back in and had 5 codes come up and my transmission won’t go into gear now

FerKurl I tried clearing the codes and they came back up but I didn’t have another 7.5 fuse on me so I’m going to try tonight. When I replace that fuse do I want to replace the fuse with her off turn it into run position and then clear the codes or clear codes and then do the fuse
Tanner replace the fuse car off. Then ignition on engine off clear codes. Verify the fuse didn’t blow again. If that fuse keeps blowing you have a problem Somewhere.

I had the flashing D4 light in a 1997 Honda Accord. One of the sensor the wires on the counter shaft were chewed off by a stupid rat. Both wires were cut off. So check all your wires going to the Automatic transmission,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Danny 1002 When the TCM (or transmission control module) sees an RPM difference (rotational speed) between the transmission output RPM sensor and input RPM sensor that is greater than a certain value, the P0730 code is triggered. This can happen while shifting between gears or when driving at a steady speed in a particular gear
Faulty torque converter clutch
Faulty shift solenoids
Blockage on the inside of the transmission main control
Internal mechanical failure of the transmission
Blockage in fluid lines
Clogged fluid filter or worn pump
Dirty or low transmission fluid.
Could be lots of stuff. If you unbolt the solenoids and they’re full of crud on the screens then new trans will be needed.

Mine also has the same problem. 2000 Honda CRV, replaced both solenoids and it will go forward now but barely...still not driveable any suggestions out there?
kad1621 odds aren’t you replaced a solenoid and only one of the two worked brand new (happens all the time)

kad1621 interesting, I’m working on mine right now and I believe the cause of the issue to actually be a corroded wire between the battery and fuse box under the hood, my fuse #15 was perfectly fine, cruise control stopped working months ago and couldn’t find the issue and I’m having o2, o1, map sensor and other random codes being shot through D indicator but very inconsistent, bout to test drive it now but my fuse box was intermittently getting 14 v all the way down to .2
Update: after reinstalling of engine, wire to the alternator was loose for three days causing oxidation to the grounds of the fuse box, transmission casing and thermostat housing, cleaned all three up and my spastic DTC codes and trans randomly downshifting problem went away next time I started the car, all problems fixed now, turbo build on the way 👍🏻

@@FerKurl I have the same issue, codes P1298 (ELD), P0135 (O2 Sensor 1/1), P0141 (O2 Sensor 1/2), P0758 (Shift Solenoid B), P1768 (Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Valve B). Replaced the 7.5A fuse, which was blown. It immediately blew again. I shut the car off and cleared the codes, now only P1298 and P1768 show up. Any suggestions on where to go next?
@@HDMFly I’m having the same issue except the fuse isn’t blowing. I’m thinking of replacing the ELD see if it fixes the issue.
