I got an aftermarket, since that there was too much coolant pressure, it didn’t leak coolant and not overheating, took the truck to the shop and they said the problem was the head gasket, or the air compressor, they charge me $1200 for an air compressor and the problem still was there , I decided to replace the expansion tank for a MAHLE and the problem was solved. High coolant pressure is not normal, mechanics say that when they can’t find the problem.

Bought my cascrapia new. Yr 3 coolant reservoir leaking at a crack. Had Freightliner do it as i was on the road. It maybe lasted 2-3 yrs too, but it was giving me high pressure, very odd. Almost seemed like head gasket issue. POS freightliner design. I replaced it again at home myself with a cheaper after mkt one. That one is still in truck now, about 3 yrs old. So first two were original crap and higher cost. You can buy 3 or 4 with what dealer wants to charge. Cheap azz plastic design, they all used to be made of metal, never a problem with older trucks.
