Fodder is exactly what most wild animals are looking for when foraging. Young, fresh, tender greens that are in loose soil. Its really no different than bean sprouts. My wife and I want to build a system very similar to this but a much smaller scale. I would be happy with 2 small trays per day. Seeing these animals going crazy over it is awesome though. I like that their barn is so clean. And the animals seem so happy.
Wow so well explained, useful and the system made in a way most of us could copy. Thankyou so much. I'll go look for the other ones you made to see how you recycle the water. Love ❤️ love this.
Very innovative demonstration. Hope our Indian cattle rareing farmars too adopt this ,it will help a lot in their earnings & many other benefits. Thanks Sir for educating❤
Thank you so much! If I get the chance, I 'll try to make something like this @ the farm near me. We have a few lambs, it would be great for them. + some herbs for us, too.
This is great, I want to more out of London one day and have a farm like this, But what was the white liquid he pour on the barley when he was feeding the animals?
Barley fodder is rich in nutrients, providing a good source of vitamins, minerals, and fiber. It contains essential nutrients such as protein, carbohydrates, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, and vitamins A, B, and E. Additionally, barley fodder is high in chlorophyll, which offers various health benefits. It's commonly used as feed for livestock due to its nutritional content and ability to promote healthy growth and development. On average, barley fodder typically contains around 12-20% protein by dry weight.
Thank you for your film. One question. in the point of fodder weight, yes you are right. However, cereals they have different nutrition of sprouts. how about this point ?
Good observation. I would advise anyone in fodder production, hydroponics or otherwise to get the fodder tested for nutrition content to a certain whether it suits ther purposes nutrition wise.
hello im from the phillippines wanted to ask if this is also possible with rice or corn since we dont have Barley growing in the phillipines PS. If you know any substitute let us know down in the comments!
What if we do something the same with papaya seeds? dry them out let them grow into little beanstalks and feed them to animals? what are your thoughts?
Around Dallas, Tx, USA anywhere for a 100 miles, the seed cost an exorbitant amount. I haven't checked in a year or so, but when I bought some, their best price would make the fodder cost more than our $150 dollar ROLLED hay we had to buy for winter and summer.,
Most farmers farming Barley in bulk are under contract with the breweries. However check Timau/ Kisima area (meru country) you might find some retailers
Hi nice information have been looking for that small DC pump setting up a small pig project for a start this march ....can u have idea where can get it and dimensions for the 1kg having them fabricated early February kwa jua Kali ..thank you for the information...
Love the aesthetics of carpets but wouldn’t it be better to grow a crop that grows really fast and can be harvested several times thereby consuming less seed?
Hayır sadece bunu hayvana veremezsin.. Böyle bir şey yaparsan ishal olurlar... Ama diğer giderlerini çok düşürür.. Bir günde maksimum 3,,, kg karşılağı verebilirsin... Günlük 20, 25 kilogram ürün elde edersin
im not convinced that 8kg of this fodder provides more nutrition than 1kg of barley. Grass is harder to digest than grain, and you gain so much weight in water.
you should only keep 1 mic sound at a time, you can add yours "yes" when you speak, this will stop the echo/double voice of the person you are recording.
Honestly I like this, the innovation going on in the Agricultural sector globally is so impressive. I must be part of this moving train
Im surprised by how clean his farm is. Good job. Most farms where im from are just gross. Crap and mud everywhere.

Love how you conserve the water from tray to tray! Very smart! God Bless you and your animals!

I live in the city but I love to see such clever methods of production in farming!
Greate work! Very innovative. Is there a solution added to the water?
yeah, very impressive and an eye opener.
So creative
What's the protein content of these feeds? Am seeing you are using on pigs and poultry. Can it be used feed Dairy Cows?

Is it for animal feed?
@@tothemoodcrypto6782 well yes! i just found papaya leaves would also work as feed but only applicable on chickens as what i saw

im not convinced that 8kg of this fodder provides more nutrition than 1kg of barley. Grass is harder to digest than grain, and you gain so much weight in water.
You get protein and green matter that the cow needs daily for rumen health. So yes, this does the job.
I think he meant to say metres not feet: 15m X 6m
Those were some hungry animals.
He said you feed 8 kilos for one week. What are you feeding?
1 kg of barley yields 7-8 kg of fodder. He feeds it to pigs and ducks
you should only keep 1 mic sound at a time, you can add yours "yes" when you speak, this will stop the echo/double voice of the person you are recording.
So confusing - it is just the process of growing microgreens?
can only feed grass to animals such as goats and sheep hydroponic fodder
