I got goosebumps when I actually realized the tank is named after the legend from whom Chinese and Tibetan used to fear , first time I would say a great name and hope this machine will take forward the legacy of the legend .

I was eagerly waiting for AD . I only follow two Defense channels AD and DM , They both are my fav boz they are simply rational and nationalistic and no melodrama but just facts and logic . Jai Hind

@@nishantshrivastava9674 indigenisation is gradual process , our first priority was execution of it decided timeline . They didn't just assembled it but designed it from sketch and developed a perfect light weight tank . Making 25 ton tank with these fire power and features is a great feat .

Thank god its on time. Looks like it has some fairly advanced devices. Hope to know more details on that.
Few points i noted on this tank.
1. ATGM with armor addon on side of missile pod
2. Rubber tracks instead of traditional steel tracks. Improved mobility and much lesser noise signature.
3. The side armors looks like spaced armor with cross elements. Will be effective against drones, HEAT but maybe not againts APFSDS.
4. Dual optronics for hunter killer capability
5. Also noted IR/Laser warning system on turret for enemy targeting system /missile lock warning
6. 12.7 RCWS with 7.62 coaxial gun.
7. Well known Cockerill 3105 turret with some customizations
8. I would bet on an oxygen generator from tejas built on board for cre comfort along with heaters for crew comfort.
9. There should also be an APU for long duration of operation without swithing on main engines.
10. In the configuration shown today, the weight should also be higher at 28-29 tonnes. Maybe even 30 tonnes.
11. Seems the tanks has amphibious capability considering the folding bow element.
The weight is under 23T.
Rubber track very bad in muddy terrain if it’s going to use in NE region.

There is a nexus between import lobby and defence deptt , who wants only commission and does not fullfill army defence requirements.

It looks perfect engineering. World class arrangements of components, fit & finish is also taken care of.
When things are perfectly arranged in engineering it performs better.
03:36 I doubt that anything else can be added on the left side of the turret. There are smoke grenades that would need to be re positioned, just like on the rhs. For anti drone capabilities, I really hope the automated gun system mounted behind the main gun can do the job. At least for low flying, smaller drones

It seems very vulnerable and old tank copy of BMP 2 on other hand Turkish Tulpar,Kaplan and Korean K21 are far more advance and superior and Turkish Kaplan tank also exported to Indonesia and will be assembled locally

Turret looks vulnerable to loitering munition systems . Also all the sensors outside have low protection against bullets. Hope it will be implemented on the next prototype..😮😢
I guess when they will integrate the active protection system they will also adress the issue of loitering munitions,drones and bullets damaging the sighting systems.

By the looks(especially outer armour) of the tank i guess it is very modular in design so if needed they can easily put more heavy armour on it

The gap between the armours of the hull and also the hull and the turret is concerning. But what drdo and lnt has managed to do within such a short period of time is something everyone should take pride in.
Good video on Indian Light Tank. Request if you can make a more detailed video...I believe there is a confusion wrt avaialability of ATGM, cannister launched UAV, active protection sys and anti drone system on the tank.

This looks really good! The paint quality, paint scheme, the finish. I was expecting a bmp modification or t72 modification but this is just beautiful. I never expected they will have the willingness of using rubber tracks.
My question regarding the rubber tracks, is there a high tensile fibre embedded in the rubber? Otherwise I don't see the track staying stiff under load. If yes then what fibre? (The best I know is dyneema)

Spaced Armour is usefull againt HEAT Shells and Drones which Usually carry the same type of Warhead. This will prevent Mobility Kills, It is completely Useless againt APFSDS which would still Pen it.

The driver's head is exposed, there is no closing hatch. With one sniper shot the tank can be immobilized. Hope they implement one.
its a pop up hood, tanks even in t-72 has driver inside, dont you think they will accomodate such provisions in this tank? All modern tanks have driver visions and i am sure it will have it too
@@rikidourennaganeall images of this tank doesn't show a hatch. When the driver has the hatch open with his head out, the hatch is visible next to or behind the drives head, here it's not visible suggesting there is no closing hatch. And the higher position of the armoured glass in front of the driver, suggests there isn't one. They might have a system but from the images there doesn't seem to be one, let's hope there is one.
