The one I got at Dollar Tree did not have enough snap. Yes, I am all for saving. Also, be sure and add a bit of tape to the ends of the tape measure to avoid sharp edges!!!
Really good tutorial but I would recommend taping the tape measure with duct tape first. As when using the pouch for the first time it sliced my finger open even with the rounded edges.
Im puzzled. Was this the second vidio of two? I didnt hear what size the fabric scraps were. I see the batting and lining are longer , obviously to fold over. Thanks
I am not sure about finding a slap bracelet but the tape measure was easy to find. But I will keep that in mind the next time I see a "slap bracelet". Always open to new ideas. Thanks

The free pattern is on my blog. Myhallcloset.com. it's in the library. The link is in the description box below the video.
In preparation for making my bag, I checked out the dollar store for tape measures. I like to save money where I can.
The one I got at Dollar Tree did not have enough snap. Yes, I am all for saving. Also, be sure and add a bit of tape to the ends of the tape measure to avoid sharp edges!!!
Beautiful hands.
Thank you!!!
Great tutorial would of liked to have seen how it opens. Thank w.
Sorry. It just snaps open and snaps closed .
Really good tutorial but I would recommend taping the tape measure with duct tape first. As when using the pouch for the first time it sliced my finger open even with the rounded edges.
Thanks for the kudos and suggestion. That's a really good idea. I will add that in the description.
Im puzzled. Was this the second vidio of two? I didnt hear what size the fabric scraps were. I see the batting and lining are longer , obviously to fold over. Thanks

you should sow how it snaps,
OOPS! Thanks for telling me.
Very nice
Thank you
concave side of metal ruler goes to the inside. Both sides are curved.
Yes, concave to the inside. and the rounded edge goes to the outside of the little bag.
How well did the closure hold up?
It holds up very well as long as it is not abused and bent. With just normal use, it is great!
what are the sizes please
If you go to my blog you can download the pattern for free. Https://myhallcloset.com/library
That little bag is approximately 5.5"x4.5"
Where are the measurements?
It can be any size you like. I just basically use a quarter inch seam allowance.
Wouldn’t it be easier to use a child’s “slap bracelet”… It already has the curved edges and you wouldn’t be messing up a measuring tape?
I am not sure about finding a slap bracelet but the tape measure was easy to find. But I will keep that in mind the next time I see a "slap bracelet". Always open to new ideas. Thanks
no sizes list or said for the pieces!
Not on this video. But you can go here to my blog and I have a free pattern there. myhallcloset.com/scrappy-snappy-bag/
